Source: Phillip Faraone / Getty Ghostface Killah And RZA Are Developing A Horror Movie RZA and Ghostface Killah are making some major moves in order to expand their filmography. According to reports from Deadline , the hip-hop legends along with producer Shaun Redick (from films like Get Out and BlacKkKlansman ) are teaming up to develop a film titled Angel of Dust. The movie is said to be a “suspense horror thriller” that RZA himself will direct. The film is reportedly inspired by true events the members of the Wu-Tang Clan experienced while growing up in the Staten Island Projects. Ghostface developed the story idea along with his manager Caruso. Matt Leslie and Stephen J. Smith were tapped to write the modern-day adaptation of the script. Angel of Dust is supposedly going to center on an exceptionally smart teenager and talented rapper named Casey, who is forced to grow up in the streets of Shaolin following the mysterious death of his parents. The boy ends up being confronted by gangs, crooked cops, junkies, along with “a serial killer with seemingly supernatural powers.” “It’s hard to fathom a better way to celebrate the Wu-Tang Clan’s 25th anniversary as rock and rap creative icons than producing a cutting-edge suspense thriller loosely based on true events that though terrifying helped shape one of the greatest groups of all time,” Redick said. “The writers, Leslie and Smith have taken this original idea to seismic levels.” But of course, any film wouldn’t be complete without some music–especially one being made by rap legends. The Wu-Tang Clan will provide the Angel of Dust soundtrack, which is going to be produced by both Ghostface and Caruso. RZA will score the movie. “The creative collaboration of RZA and Ghostface has stood the test of time through our music,” RZA explained. “Now the opportunity to put our creative energies together onto the silver screen has arisen and I’m turbo charged. Bong Bong!” Angel of Dust ‘s release date has not yet been announced.

When her car slowed down for a speed bump, one of the suspects chased her vehicle on foot while pushing an empty shopping cart. He slammed the cart into the rear of her car, causing more than $1,000 in damages and putting her safety at risk while she tried to escape. The men jumped into a dark gray Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck and fled, but they were caught on the store’s surveillance cameras. In the arrest report for Tyrone Terell Johnson, obtained by PEOPLE , the 42-year-old Marines veteran allegedly called 911 on Sunday evening and said he’d killed two people “because he was being attacked.” Sign Up For Our Newsletter! Email Submit The arrest report states that Johnson — charged with first-degree felony murder, second-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and shooting into or within a building — told police who responded to the call that the woman and her son, Ricky Willis, began screaming at him after he changed the channel to a football game. Johnson allegedly said that amid all of the bickering, he went to the bedroom to pack his things to leave the house. The report alleges that Johnson started firing at Stephanie “as she was holding a PlayStation in her hands.” Ricky fled the bedroom, and when he returned a short time later, Johnson allegedly fired at him. But before he was elected, and before Baldwin took on the character in 2016, the show’s creator, Lorne Michaels, reportedly insisted on only throwing soft jabs at the candidate–this is all according to an interview with former SNL cast member Taran Killam . In an interview with Matt Gourley on his podcast I Was There Too , the former Trump impressionist opened up about his decision to leave Saturday Night Live in 2016, along with the controversial hosting of Donald Trump in 2015. As Vulture pointed out, the Night School actor says Michaels pressured the cast and writers to go easy on Donald Trump in all of their skits, later surprising them with the candidate’s invitation to host. “Lorne was being so specific about what we could and couldn’t say about him, and he was dictating a lot of the settings,” Killam said during the podcast. “At that point—the first CNN interview [Trump] was doing—and that was sort of looking like what we thought we were going to do, and Lorne’s like, ‘It’ll be too old news by then, and you know, you don’t want to vilify him. You know, he’s like any New York taxi driver. I know him, I’ve seen him around at parties for years and years, and he just says whatever it is he’s thinking, and that’s his thing. But you know, you have to find a way in that makes him likable.’” Aside from just some questionable political choices, Killam also says SNL went downhill after Seth Meyers’ departure in 2014. “When Seth Meyers left the show, the dynamic changed quite a bit,” he continued, saying that an increase in pre-taped sketches and Seth’s absence made the show feel like “less of a happy place to be.” Check out Taran Killam’s entire here . According to Deadline , Halle Berry and Lena Waithe will be executive producers on a 10-episode half-hour BET Networks and Paramount Television produced series. The show will be out next year and according to Lena will be more of a “sequel” than a remake. Deadline adds that it will focus on the modern-day offspring of Halle Berry and Eddie Murphy’s characters with Ben Cory Jones working as showrunner. “I’m thrilled to team up with Lena on this project as she is without a doubt a leading voice of her generation and a trail blazer in her own right,” said Halle Berry said in a statement Monday. “I’m truly excited to be a part of bringing this iconic and beloved film to the small screen.” Lena’s also assuring fans that she and Halle “won’t f*** it up.” We won’t . https://t.co/b1Di6fkBWa — Lena Waithe (@LenaWaithe) September 24, 2018 We trust her, Lena’s yet to mess up so there’s some real potential here with this show.
