Prisoner Carves 666 Into His Head…Backwards

Nebraska Inmate Makes Mistake While Self-Mutilating His Face An Omaha inmate carved the number 666 into his forehead , using a mirror as his guide…but with a poor grasp of how reflections work, he ended up making a series of inverted 9’s instead. But it seems it may have been his latest stunt in a bid to avoid the death penalty for his crimes. Via Omaha.com : Jenkins told a Douglas County judge during a recent telephone hearing that he “self-mutilated” by trying to carve “666” into his forehead. The problem? Jenkins was looking in a mirror. So he carved the 6s backward — making them look more like upside-down 9s, according to court officials. Jenkins reportedly told Douglas County District Judge Peter Bataillon that he carved the 666 — known in the biblical book of Revelation as the number of the Beast — because he is not receiving treatment for his purported mental illness. He asked the judge to order the Nebraska State Patrol to investigate. Bataillon declined. It is not clear yet whether Jenkins will use the latest self-mutilation to try to get himself again declared incompetent before he can face a death-penalty hearing. Jenkins mutilated himself last year, and Bataillon delayed his death-penalty hearing. It took a year before the judge declared him competent to stand trial. Jenkins’ disclosure of a Manson-style mark — the California killer has a swastika between his eyes — was just the latest antic in a case that has dragged on for 20 months. Somehow we feel like living out your days in maximum security prison with a heavily mutilated face isn’t MUCH better than going ahead and facing the death penalty… Douglas County / James R. Burnett via The World Herald

Cussing & Swearing Black “Toddler Thug” Taken Into Protective Custody After Video Goes Viral And Causes Racist Ishtstorm

Omaha Cursing “Toddler Thug” Taken Into Protective Custody The “Thug Cycle” has been halted for this little cussin up a storm toddler … According to Raw Story: A diapered toddler seen repeating profanities in an online video has been taken into protective custody by authorities in Nebraska, police said. The video was posted by the Omaha Police Officers Association under a title, “The Thug Cycle,” that some found offensive. “We here at OmahaPOA.com viewed the video and we knew that despite the fact that it is sickening, heartbreaking footage, we have an obligation to share it to continue to educate the law abiding public about the terrible cycle of violence and thuggery that some young innocent children find themselves helplessly trapped in,” the police union said in its post, adding that the video came from “a local thug’s public Facebook page.” Investigators said they found nothing criminal in the video, which shows the child making obscene gestures to adults who hurl racist and obscene comments at the boy and prompt him to repeat crude phrases. “Now while we didn’t see anything in this video that is blatantly ‘illegal,’ we sure did see a lot that is flat out immoral and completely unhealthy for this little child from a healthy upbringing standpoint,” the police union said in its post with the video. The union’s president, Sgt. Jeff Wells, also said one of the adults mentions a local street gang in the video. The child was taken into custody Wednesday along with three other children by Omaha police’s Child Victim Unit and the Nebraska Child Protective Services. Police did not release the names of any of the children or families or disclose their relationship to one another. “That is why when we talk about the culture, the criminal culture, that this is to try to break the cycle and deal with the culture of violence and the culture of gang activity,” Wells said. But local civil rights activists said the police union’s post “crossed a line” in a city where officers’ treatment of minorities, who make up about a quarter of Omaha’s population, has led to lawsuits and criminal charges against a pair of cops and firings and reassignments of others in the past year. “For them to take a video out of context — a 2-year-old who doesn’t have the brain capacity to know what’s going on — and to say that this child, because two adults acted inappropriately, is going to end up in a life of crime is totally inappropriate,” said Willie Hamilton, president of Black Men United. Big Sean, Rest Of MTV Jams’ Fab 5 To Appear On ‘RapFix Live’!

Visit MTV.com at 4 p.m. ET to see Sean, Future, Meek Mill, Big K.R.I.T. and Mac Miller live. By Rob Markman Big Sean Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images This week marks the end of MTV Jams’ 2011 Fab 5 rollout — perfect time for a party. This week, “RapFix Live” will celebrate the accomplishments of all the Fab 5 inductees — Big Sean , Future , Meek Mill, Big K.R.I.T. and Mac Miller — and you never know who will show up on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on “RapFix Live.” Conceived in 2005 on MTV Jams, the Fab 5 is a collection of the most outstanding new hip-hop artists of the year who have made a visible impact on the road to releasing their debut albums. Fab 5 alumni include Juelz Santana, Tony Yayo, Paul Wall, Young Jeezy, Kid Cudi and Drake. This year, MTV Jams, MTV News and MTV2’s Sucker Free collaborated to bring you 2011’s hottest new hip-hop upstarts. Big Sean , who hails from Detroit and is a part of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music crew, has already had an amazing year after he put out his debut album Finally Famous in June. Off the strength of his Chris Brown-assisted lead single, “My Last,” Sean’s LP debuted at #3 on the Billboard albums chart. Atlanta representative Future has had quite the year as well, after capping 2010 off with a breakthrough performance on YC’s club hit “Racks.” Future used the opportunity to catapult his own career and has been running ATL’s underground thanks to mixtapes like True Story and his Gucci Mane collab tape, Freebricks. Meek Mill has made a huge impact this year as well. After getting signed to Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group, Meek Milli made his splash on the label’s Self Made Vol. 1 compilation. Songs like “Tupac Back” and “I’m a Boss” proved Meek’s worth as a lyricist and hitmaker, and his latest mixtape, Dreamchasers is helping propel the Philadelphia native’s career. With Big K.R.I.T.’s major-label debut Live From the Underground set to drop in September, the Meridian, Mississippi, MC/producer is shaping up to be a force in the rap game. After turning heads with his 2010 independent album K.R.I.T. Wuz Here, Krizzle wowed listeners with his own brand of Southern soul and has quickly become a fan favorite. Mac Miller rounds out 2011’s Fab 5. The 19-year old spitter already has two critically acclaimed mixtapes under his belt as well as a pair of national tours. Now, Mac is currently working on his indie album Blue Slide Park, which will be released this fall on Pittsburgh-based Rostrum Records. The future is no doubt bright. When she wants to feel the wind in her hair, Marisa Miller just hops on her Harley-Davidson Nightster. “Being outside in nature is so freeing for me,” the California girl adds. “And whenever I really focus on something – whether it#39;s surfing, biking, or cooking – that#39;s how I de-stress. But I also love the challenge. Riding my motorcycle builds my self-esteem and confidence.”
