The ongoing Shannon family sexual abuse scandal continues to get uglier this week as a slew of shocking new details were made public. It all started last Friday when TMZ reported that June Shannon is dating a convicted child molester named Mark McDaniel. We later learned that June’s eldest daughter Anna Shannon was McDaniel’s victim and that he abused the now 20-year-old in horrific fashion when she was just 8 years old. As more information about the circumstances of the abuse became available many expressed shock that McDaniel was allowed out of prison, and that June Shannon is allowed to continue raising children. A police report revealed that McDaniel threatened to kill Anna if she reported the molestation. He was eventually arrested after she told her teachers, but first the young girl tried in vain to get her mother to intervene: “June didn’t believe any of it,” says a source. “She listened to her boyfriend’s denials instead.” Yes, June was reportedly made aware of the abuse, but did nothing to stop it. That’s just one of the many reasons that former fans of the TLC reality series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo are calling for the state of Georgia to step in and take June’s children away. Shockingly, Shannon has a history of involvement with convicted molesters. “Mama June” had a child with a different sex offender before she became involved with McDaniel. Difficult as it may be to believe, authorities have stated that at this time, it looks as though Shannon and McDaniel have not violated any laws that might result in a violation of his parole or the state removing Shannon’c children from her home. If you’ve read any celebrity news headlines in the last week, the events playing out on VH1’s Couples Therapy Season 5 Episode 8 felt a bit like art imitating life. The breakup of Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell was a long time coming. Many would call it something of a surprise that they lasted it as long as they did. Basically, Juan Pablo is the worst boyfriend ever, and while Nikki attracts her fair share of criticism from the ladies in the house, this fact is undisputed. Dick Donato, of all people, reaches out to Nikki Ferrell, and after their surprising heart to heart, she seems to realize how effed up her relationship really is. Nikki looks within herself and realizes that, deep down, he might not be making her happy – not surprising, considering he’s using her for fame and relevance . Meanwhile, Treach’s reunion with his dad, Kent, provides for the real emotional crux of the episode, even if it won’t get the headlines Nikki and Juan provide. Treach hasn’t seen his dad in more than 30 years. He doesn’t know if he was alive. His own shortcomings as a father are hard to hear, and emotional. Couples Therapy Season 5 Cast Photos 1. House of Cards actress Elizabeth Norment has passed away at the age of 61. She died October 13 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, according to her family. Further details about her death are not yet known. Norment’s character Nancy worked under Frank Underwood, the dynamic main character played by Kevin Spacey on the acclaimed political drama. Nancy remained loyal to Underwood and his right-hand man Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly), following Frank from the U.S. House to the West Wing. House of Cards showrunner Beau Willimon mourned Norment’s loss. He said that he and the cast ” deeply saddened by Elizabeth’s passing .” Willimon added: “She was a talented actress, a warm soul and good friend to us all.” Norment’s career as an actress spanned over three decades. The Washington D.C. native studied at the Yale School of Drama, and appeared on TV shows like ER and Mad About You . Elizabeth also had roles in movies like The Woman in Red (1984) and Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion (1997) and Robert Kennedy and His Times (1985). An invisible man murder a pool hustle on Castle Season 7 Episode 3 . Wait… what?!? Did that really happen? Of course not. But it was a theory espoused by Rick at the outset of the latest investigation and the evidence even pointed Beckett in that direction for awhile as well. Watch Castle Season 7 Episode 3 Online Save for a couple quips here and there, this installment stayed away from the Great Amnesic Mystery of 2014, which is for the best. It would be irritating if the series focused too much on what happened to Castle without revealing meaningful answers. No one wants to be teased each and every week. So we returned to the land of fun, far our cases for the third hour of Castle Season 7 and it worked out well. Especially when the culprit really did turn out to be invisible. Kind of. Sort of. He was able to cloak himself at least. Even Kate felt the unseen’s brute force, making her a quasi believer. On the personal front, Rick and Kate talked about how they’ve “gone without” for months, something that was especially difficult for Beckett because she wasn’t amnesic the entire time! Martha, of course, interrupted the couple’s alone time at one point, but Rick and Kate still got to roll around in bed for awhile – and we got to see Beckett’s “invisible” boudoir attire. Very well done. Viewers also learned that to start saving for Grace’s $250,000 college education, Ryan is moonlighting as a bouncer. A strip club bouncer, that is. A MALE strip club bouncer, that is. Monday, on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Hollywood Season 1 Episode 5, the truth finally came out for some of the key players in the game. Emphasis on players. Appropriately titled “Truth Be Told,” Love & Hip Hop Hollywood Season 1 Episode 5 saw Mally Mall promises Nikki that he and Masika are done. Done. Are they, though? Can anyone really trust this upstanding man? Apparently not. Nikki says both of them need to meet with Masika so he can tell her to her face that he’s Nikki’s and that it’s over. This is going to be fun. Teairra Mari, meanwhile, is teaming up with Yung Berg on a new collaboration that is surely not going to go over well with Hazel, not that he cares apparently. Masika and Hazel get together and talk about how much Teairra sucks, and vow to ignore their men and play hard to get, ’cause who needs ’em. Sure. Teairra tells Nikki she’s working with Berg, which Nikki says she supports if it’s not messy. Teairra’s issues with Morgan may be a different story, though. Omarion and Apryl meet with a midwife to talk about the childbirth, which they want to be natural and at the house … but there’s the small issue of his mom. Specifically, she’s very negative, stressful and painful. If you watch Love & Hip Hop Hollywood online , you know that this has been a recurring source of stress for the couple, and it’s not going away anytime soon. Nikki shows up at Ray J’s video shoot, ready to confront Morgan and things get heated quickly, with the Kim Kardashian sex tape maker forced to intervene. Between these two, Ray J and Princess Love , there is more animosity involving one quasi-celebrity than we ever thought we would see, even on VH1. That’s saying something, when you think about it. Morgan is upset about Ray not sticking up for her, and how as a foster child no one has been in her life consistently, which is why she values him so. Masika denies knowing what it is, like at all. “All I’m saying is don’t lie,” Masika says to her shady man. “There should never be a time when another woman tells you something you should have told me.” After Nikki arrives, Masika says she doesn’t really give a f–k about them but is pretty darn pissed about the lies and “game” that led to this in the first place. Nikki, for her part, is not a big fan of the fact that Masika claims to have slept with Mally Mall, which he denies and which Masika insists really did occur. “You’ve proven that you’re a liar. No, it’s a tried and true relationship-killer that does in many duos every day, and that may soon claim another victim in the controversial reality TV pair: Long distance. As we learned last week on Couples Therapy Season 5 Episode 4 , Nikki is still waiting to be “chosen” by Juan Pablo even though she won The Bachelor . Meanwhile, the pressures of fatherhood, in addition to whatever his personal attitude toward relationships might, keeps Juan from making any moves. Quite literally. Nikki Ferrell broke down on the show, admitting that being closer together – she’s in Kansas City, he’s in Miami – might be the only way this is going to work. Given that Juan Pablo is father to a five-year-old daughter, Camila, of whom he shares custody with his baby mama, Carla Rodriguez? He ain’t moving. Juan Pablo defended Nikki Ferrell, denying that she put pressure on him to choose between Camila or her, but many fans feel the writing is on the wall. If they were really serious about this, and had any real faith that it going to last, beyond just being fun biweekly banging, someone would move. Heck, they probably would have done so already.
