Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie: Back Together!

After spending a romantic vacation together in the Bahamas, Hilary Duff is reportedly calling off the divorce from her estranged husband Mike Comrie. According to an insider, the trip was intended to be a time for the couple to discuss splitting assets and custody details for their 2-year-old son, Luca. Instead, the two have agreed to work on their marriage. Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie split earlier this winter in an unexpected, albeit amicable, breakup. There was never a lot of animosity between them, and she even shared photos of their “modern family” together following the split. Says an insider: “Once they were together with their son Luca in the Caribbean, it got emotional and real. Mike broke down and begged Hilary for a second chance.” Although the source says Duff, 26, wasn’t initially keen on giving the marriage a second chance, she’s had a change of heart when it comes to Comrie. “They’ve been meeting for hookups ever since, and Hilary’s softened and the two are moving forward to see if they can work it out,” the insider revealed. “Hilary’s one stipulation is that Mike step up to the plate with full-time parenting duties while she works on her new TV show and her music career.” Hopefully he’ll rise to the occasion and they’ll work it out, because we like them both … though if it doesn’t work out, Aaron Carter is pining for her . Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Dancing with the Stars feuds have gone hand in hand over the years, but in this case, most fans are likely to be on his side. The combustible pro is none too pleased at Julianne Hough, who guest judged the ABC hit series this week and hinted that he phoned in his performance. “You can accuse me of a lot of things,” said Maksim. “You can’t accuse me of not working hard enough.” Danica McKellar & Maksim Chmerkovskiy – Jive – Week 4 Maks’ comments came in response to Hough’s accusation that he didn’t give it all on Monday’s “switch up” episode , when he partnered with Danica McKellar. Suffice it to say, Chmerkovskiy didn’t take kindly to that. Following the blowup, some social media users suggested that Hough may have been taking sides because her brother Derek is still in competition. “She said it and now she has to own up to it,” said Maks. It was slightly uncomfortable … not as much so as Erin Andrews grilling Peta and James about whether they’re taking and having a baby, but close. What started as a personal rift between Selena Gomez and her parents has bled over into the professional world. According to TMZ sources, the singer fired Mandy and Brian Teefey as her managers last month. The artist’s mother and step-father had served in this capacity for Gomez ever since her big break at Disney. So, why did Selena cut them loose now? Sources allege that Gomez felt she had outgrown their influence and is now mature enough for a true professional manager (such as Scooter Braun). But let’s get real, people. Like most things Selena Gomez these days, this comes down to Justin Bieber . Selena’s family and friends have been against her reconciliation with her fellow singer ever since the two started to hang out again earlier this year. Some loved ones are even planning some kind of anti-Bieber invention to try and talk some dating sense into Gomez. Will it be successful? We doubt it. You have seen Justin Bieber, right?!? Frankie Knuckles Dies; DJ, House Music Pioneer Was 59

Frankie Knuckles DJ and house music pioneer, died Monday. He was 59. The “godfather,” a Chicago resident, “died unexpectedly” at home, his longtime business partner Frederick Dunson confirmed to the Chicago Tribune . Bronx-born Frankie Warren Knuckles Jr. (yup, his real name) honed his DJ skills in NYC, moving to Chicago in the late ’70s as the disco scene was dying. Along with a group of house music innovators, the young Knuckles went on to become a cult hero overseas in Europe’s rave-oriented club scene. Also a producer, Knuckles went on to work with some of music’s biggest stars, including Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Depeche Mode, and Diana Ross. Morales, along with Knuckles’ successors, mourned his passing Monday. “I am devastated to write that my dear friend Frankie Knuckles has passed away today,” he wrote. “Can’t write anymore than this at the moment. I’m sorry.” Chicago DJ Vince Lawrence wrote on his Facebook page, in memoriam: “A legend has fallen. All hail Frankie Knuckles an inspiration to us all.” Knuckles once told the Tribune in an interview why he championed house music . He felt as if the dance floor was a “safe haven” for all communities. “God has a place on the dance floor,” he said. “We wouldn’t have all the things we have if it wasn’t for God. Justin Bieber Storms Out of Deposition, Grows Irate Over Selena Gomez Questions

Justin Bieber was back in Miami, Fla., on Thursday, though hopefully he hired himself a driver to shuttle his read end around this time. The artist sat for a four-and-a-half hour long deposition in relation to a lawsuit filed against him for allegedly ordering his bodyguard to assault a photographer outside The Hit Factory. And the legally-mandated appearance turned ugly once opposing lawyers brought up the topic of Selena Gomez, Justin’s famous ex-girlfriend. Justin Bieber Shows Up for Deposition According to TMZ, the attorney wanted to know if Justin’s ex was present for any incident involving the paparazzi, a line of questioning Bieber’s lawyer believed was meant to get a rise out of him. Which turned out to be the end result. At one point, Bieber and lawyer Howard Weitzman actually left the room, as the singer yelled in regard to Gomez: “Don’t ask me about her, do not ask me about her!” Sounds like someone may be a tad touchy over Selena laughing off his reconciliation attempt. Justin Bieber is reportedly far from pleased that he’s being blamed for Selena Gomez’s rehab stint, saying his former flame is a party girl through and through. The addiction problems that resulted in Gomez checking into rehab are hers and hers alone, says Bieber, regardless of what he and his friends do for fun. TMZ, citing “sources with daily Bieber contact” (Lil Za?) says the star and his posse are laughing at the “bad influence” claims reported in the press. That’s because Selena, they say, is always the drunk girl at the party. Bieber acknowledges he gets trashed, too. There’s no dispute there, nor could there possibly be, given the stories, photos and videos we’ve all seen. What he does dispute is the idea that he corrupted her, seeing she was known to smoke just as much weed as the guys and sometimes outdo them. Justin’s camp say Gomez was/is very into drinking alcohol as well. So what’s with the story that she went to rehab because of him? Selena Gomez Bailed on Rehab: Why? Justin apparently feels Selena’s parents are behind that narrative … because they despise him. In his eyes, he’s a convenient scapegoat for them. As we previously reported, Bieber’s camp warned him to stay away from her, believing she is the bad influence here, despite her good girl reputation. The Biebs’ brushes with the law are well-documented, and his handlers think she indirectly fuels that, as he tends to act out when he’s hung up on her. As you can see, the finger-pointing appears to be reciprocal. For his part, Justin’s happy she’s out of the picture because she’s just too high maintenance and out of control – a far cry from what Gomez’s people say.
