We never thought we’d say this back when Wendy Williams was viciously slamming celebrities with no evidence and seemingly no morals. But… … we feel bad for Wendy Williams. The talk show host is simply going through a ton these days — and all of it sucks a whole lot. And all of it can maybe be traced back to the duplicitous actions of her husband, Kevin Hunter. Allow us to explain: As you’ve likely heard by now, Williams recently suffered a relapse . It’s unclear exactly when this occurred and it’s unclear what sort of illicit substance(s) ended up in her body, but the polarizing television personality came right out and admitted on air last week that she’s seeking professional assistance. On a daily basis, really. “I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in my past,” Williams told viewers on air, explaining: “I never went to a place to get the treatment. I don’t know how, except God was sitting on my shoulder and I just stopped.” In the video below, she then details how she’s currently residing in a sober living facility while battling her addiction demons. Wendy Williams Breaks Down, Reveals: I’m Living in a Sober House According to multiple reports, meanwhile, Williams’ husband of two decades, Kevin Hunter, has been carrying on an affair with someone named Sharina Hudson. This has been an open secret for years — and it’s been far more involved than just the occasional sext. Outlets have claimed that Hunter lives a “double life,” that Hudson lives mere miles away from Williams… and THAT SHE’S PREGNANT WITH HIS BABY . Well, she was pregnant with his baby, we should now write. Hudson has allegedly given birth and Hunter is the alleged father of her child. According to Page Six, Hudson welcomed a newborn at a Philadelphia hospital on Monday, with a source telling this newspaper of her and Hunter: “Apparently, they chose this location because they were worried that if she gave birth in New York, it would be leaked to the press.” A second insider adds: “This is a crazy situation, Wendy is in a halfway house fighting for her sobriety, while her husband is at the side of his mistress who is giving birth to a baby. Sharina went into labor on Sunday [and] is believed to have given birth late on Sunday or in the early hours of Monday.” Like we said at the outset: How can you not feel badly for Willians here?!? Williams and Hunter got married in 1997share 18-year-old son Kevin Jr. They have both denied infidelity allegations in the past. Most recently, Williams gushed about her husband during the March 4 episode of her syndicated talk show. “He is my best friend, my lover. He’s all this and he’s all that,” she said, adding: “I’m still very much in love with my husband. … Anybody who has been married for five minutes or 500 years, you know marriages have ebbs and flows. Marriages are not easy. And don’t ask me about mine until you see [my wedding ring] gone — it ain’t going anywhere, not in this lifetime.” Ironically, however, Williams actually was spotted leaving her sober living facility yesterday with this ring on her finger. Wendy has never really denied rumors of Hunter’s affair. “You can believe what you want, but… I stand by my guy. We commuted this morning,” she told her audience in September , for example. “All is well in Hunterville. Don’t believe the hype and if there was hype, believe me you – I would let you know.” Again, this wasn’t really a denial; it was just an assurance that she’s staying in her marriage. It was also something she said many months ago, prior to the pregnancy chatter and prior to this new baby. A source close to Williams tells Entertainment Tonight that her current struggles are because “she’s melting down over her husband having a mistress.” The source goes on to allege that it was hunter who put her in the sober living facility in Queens, New York because “he wanted Wendy out of the way when the baby arrived.” Jeepers, huh? That’s nuts. And it’s awful. Earlier this year, Williams took about a two-month hiatus from her show reportedly for health reasons. Her return was delayed a number of times, but her family said in a statement in January that she was “taking a necessary, extended break from her show to focus on her personal and physical well-being.” Could this break have also been related to Hunter? We’d have to imagine so. And we therefore must reiterate one more time: Poor, poor Wendy Williams. We’re doing well as a family. We are moving forward with working on her sobriety and doing the work to help others, not just ourselves. “It is a family process. Anybody that has to deal with this knows this a family process… and we are dealing with it and moving forward.” This guy sucks.
