Snoop Dogg Offers Home To Abandoned Dog Named Snoop

Source: Johnny Louis / Getty One of the worst things dog owners can do is abandoned their pet to the outside world, especially after they’ve been domesticated and used to the comforts of home. A man was caught on video in England doing just that to a dog that rescue workers named “Snoop,” prompting a huge rally of support including an offer to adopt from the dog’s namesake, Snoop Dogg . The Daily Star reports : The rapper was among those horrified by CCTV footage of a couple dumping the pooch at the side of a road. A clip, watched by millions online, shows the Staffordshire Bull Terrier desperately trying to get back in the car as the pair drove off in Stoke-on-Trent. Now Snoop Dogg says he wants to re-home the pet at his Los Angeles mansion. He told the Daily Star: “It is heartbreaking. “There is always room for another dog in Casa de Snoop. “If he really needed a home then he has one with us. As Uncle Snoop said to the outlet, the footage has since spread across news networks in the region and beyond with other dog lovers offering Snoop the same as far as housing goes. Hopefully, the pooch will land on all four paws safe and sound before too long. — Photo: Getty

History: 17 African-American Judges Officially Sworn In As Judges In Harris County

Back in November, Harris County elected all 19 African-American female judges running for positions in the courts. While two of the judges were re-elected to their positions, the other 17 have been sworn in today . The even better part? All 17 brand new judges in the Harris County courts have over 200 years of experience between them. Fellow judge  Angela Graves-Harrington said, “I also wanted to serve as an inspiration for all those people who wondered if they could. Yes you can.” Hughes added that her first focus is those who are already behind bars, in jail because they’re unable to pay bail or get an attorney. “Most of the offenses are low-level offenses and we’ve done research. Google Employees Plan ‘Women’s Walkout’ To Protest Senior Executive’s Sexual Assault Payout

NOAH SEELAM/AFP/Getty Images Google is not with the s****s when it comes to sexual assault allegations regarding it’s employees. Last week, the New York Times reported that Android creator Andy Rubin — and other executives at the company — have engaged in sexual misconduct over the years. As a response, more than 200 employees will take part in the company-wide walkout Thursday to protest. The Times reported that Google gave Rubin a reported $90 million exit package in 2014, following an investigation into an allegation that he had coerced another employee to perform oral sex on him. That investigation reportedly found that allegation to be credible. One Google employer told Buzzfeed : Personally, I’m furious. I feel like there’s a pattern of powerful men getting away with awful behavior towards women at Google‚ or if they don’t get away with it, they get a slap on the wrist, or they get sent away with a golden parachute, like Andy Rubin. And it’s a leadership of mostly men making the decisions about what kind of consequences to give, or not give.” Organizers of the protest have already started presenting petitions and demanding stricter employee oversights to management. Some workers even left their positions at the company as way to protest. Rubin hasn’t spoken out about the walkout — but he still denies allegations of sexual misconduct. SMH.

NBC Issues Statement on Donald Trump: He Pretty Much Sucks!

Here is something you almost never see: A television network admonishing a Presidential candidate. In the wake of  Donald Trump announcing he’s running for the highest office in the land, however, NBC has felt a need to distance itself from The Celebrity Apprentice host. “Donald Trump’s opinions do not represent those of NBC, and we do not agree with his positions on a number of issues, including his recent comments on immigration,” the network said on Thursday. This statement comes on the heels of Univision confirming it is dropping Trump and NBC Universal’s co-produced Miss USA pageant due to the candidate’s recent remarks. Among Trump’s more controversial/totally insane quotes? He said at a press conference this month that Mexico is “sending [America] people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. “They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.” In response, J Balvin pulled out of performing at the Miss USA Pageant, while Roselyn Sanchez has now pulled out of hosting the event. On Facebook, the actress says she will “not tolerate the so disrespectful and hurtful words out of the mouth of Mr. Trump.” View Slideshow: Donald Trump Announces Presidential Run; Twitter Reacts! On Thursday, meanwhile, Trump  defended himself on Twitter. He also declared he’s going to sue Univision for violating its contract. “Univision wants to back out of signed @MissUniverse contract because I exposed the terrible trade deals that the U.S. makes with Mexico” and “Mexican gov doesn’t want me talking about terrible border situation & horrible trade deals. “Forcing Univision to get me to stop—no way!” Ummm… Vote Trump?

We totally believe that. Why not just own it? You made a porno for money and got paid a lot. Some may question your decision, but it was the plan all along, and it worked. Robert Bork Dies; Supreme Court Nominee Was 85

Robert Bork, whose long political career was most noteworthy for his controversial rejection from the Supreme Court in the 1980s, has died at the age of 85. Son Robert H. Bork Jr. confirmed his father died at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Va. The son said Bork died from complications of heart ailments . The brilliant, blunt Bork’s confirmation hearings helped draw the modern boundaries of cultural fights over abortion, civil rights and other issues. The Senate denied him confirmation and a spot on the court, 58-42. Earlier in life, Bork was accused of being a partisan hatchet man for Richard Nixon. As the third-ranking official at the Justice Department, he fired Watergate special prosecutor Archibald Cox in the “Saturday Night Massacre” of 1973. Attorney General Elliot Richardson resigned rather than fire Cox. The next in line, William Ruckelshaus, refused to fire Cox and was himself fired. But it was Bork’s drubbing during the 1987 Senate nomination hearings made him a hero to the right and a rallying cry for younger conservatives. The experience embittered Bork and hardened many of his positions, even as it gave him prominence as an author and popularity on the speaking circuit. Kenneth Weinstein, head of the Washington think-tank Hudson Institute where Bork was a distinguished fellow, said in response to his passing: “Robert Bork was a giant, a brilliant and fearless legal scholar, and a gentleman whose incredible wit and erudition made him a wonderful Hudson colleague.” Known before his nomination by Ronald Reagan as an expert on antitrust law, Bork became widely known as a conservative cultural critic in the ensuing years.
