The Voice Battle Round: Kim Yarbrough vs. Whitney Myer

In a Battle Round matchup on The Voice Monday evening, Kim Yarbrough squared off with Whitney Myer, who sounded off at the start, but then really got things going. She never could compete with Kim’s voice or pure stage presence, however, so it looked as though she was done from the start. Such is life in a sudden-death duet. Kim wasn’t too much of an opportunity to really showcase her voice, even, but she did the best with what she had, and the two did sound pretty strong as a pair. In the end, Adam Levine chose Kim to advance. The right call? Watch: Kim Yarbrough and Whitney Myer – No More Drama (The Voice Battle Round)

There’s been precious few sightings to date of Rooney Mara in character as Swedish punk-rock bisexu-hacker Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo . Which can only be a good thing; there’s only so much toplessness a marketing campaign can really withstand in the far-off months leading up to release. But what’s this? New Rooney? Fully clothed, hooded and pointing at a dude ? Ooh la la, let us at it. (Bonus: Daniel Craig and Christopher Plummer, also fully clothed!)

The Internet collectively recoiled when the video of Jim Carrey professing his undying love for Emma Stone was released by the Ace Ventura star, but don’t worry — it was all a joke! In What’s Your Number? , Anna Faris stars as a woman who revisits her past sexual conquests in the hopes of finding her real soulmate. She seemingly won’t have much luck with her prior lays, if only because Chris Evans plays her probable future sexual conquest/soulmate — but, hey, it’s the thought that counts. That thought is at the center of the French poster for What’s Your Number? , which features the film’s very-direct French title change. Click through for a look and a chuckle.

He also dedicated the slower track “That Should Be Me” to Alexa in Knoxville, Tennessee. About his new album, Bieber has said it’s a fun record and seemed excited by his producers on the tracks, all of which he helped co-write. “It’s gonna be a lot of fun, the album,” he told MTV News . “I co-wrote everything on the album, and I got to work with a lot of cool producers. I got to work with The-Dream, I worked with … a lot of cool people, so it was a lot of fun.” His favorite song on the album is “Up,” and he’s also partial to second single “U Smile.” “I worked with [Dan] August [Rigo]. I got him. He’s a really good writer,” Bieber said of his friend and collaborator. “The song is amazing. We really love the song, so we decided to cut it.
