Bella Thorne is a 40 Year Old Cheerleader of the Day

Bella Thorne and her team want you to think that she’s 18. It’s good for business, I mean just look and see all the media hits that she got the month going up to her birthday, attention that clearly helped her book jobs, gain followers, and somehow seem legit, when really she’s just positioned herself as the naughty 17 year old, on the verge of being 18, because that’s criminal in the USA and people love things they can’t have. I am a firm believer that she’s not 18, but that her parents lied about her age to get her into a kids show, possibly because their management team told them to…no studios like hiring kids, the regulations are a fucking nightmare, so they just take these 28 year olds and pass them off as kids…it’s been going on forever…only back in the day, everyone knew the cast of 90210 was 30…nowadays they commit to the lie…so young girls can fell insecure about their childlike bodies… Either way, she’s in a cheerleader outfit, in what reminds me of an office Halloween party when recently divorced Melissa, busts out the cheerleader outfit from high school…because she’s been doing Pilates… She’s the Lindsay Lohan of her generation…you know every generation needs a redhead exploited by her star loving parents who looks 10-30 years older than they are marketed…who collapses when no one gives a fuck about them anymore…turning to empty sex and lots of drugs… The post Bella Thorne is a 40 Year Old Cheerleader of the Day appeared first on DrunkenStepfather .

Academy Sets New Rules for 85th Academy Awards

The rules are out and email has been hit. The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences have restricted the amount of email that can be sent to its members, limiting it to “only one piece of mail and one email per film company” each week. There are also increased restrictions on third parties distributing materials and the number of screenings Academy members can be invited to (mostly without food or drink). The Academy’s release detailing its updated policies follows: The Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has updated regulations for how companies and individuals may market movies and achievements eligible for the 85th Academy Awards® to Academy members. The changes pertain to screenings that feature live filmmaker participation, the formats on which members may receive screeners, and limitations on how mail, email and websites may be used in campaigning.

“These rules help us maintain a level playing field for all of the nominees and protect the integrity of the Awards process,” said Academy President Tom Sherak.

After the announcement of nominations on January 15, 2013, and until the final polls close (February 19, 2013), Academy members may be invited to up to four screenings of a nominated film that are preceded or followed by filmmaker Q&As or other such participation. A fifth such event in the United Kingdom will be permitted.  All participants must be nominated or have been eligible for nomination.  No screening event may include a reception or otherwise offer complimentary food or beverages. These limitations do not apply to screenings held by the Academy, guilds or similar organizations.

The regulations also now stipulate that members may receive the film both on DVD and as a digital download.

Additionally, each week, members may be sent only one piece of mail and one email per film company.  The rules maintain the prohibition on sending members links to websites that promote a film using audio, video, or other multimedia elements, but may include links to the videos in the “Academy Conversations” series on Oscars.org.

The Academy has augmented its existing ban on film companies using third parties to distribute materials that they would be prohibited from sending directly. The regulation now specifies that film companies may not have a publication use its subscriber lists to send stand alone materials to members, except in connection with the distribution of the publication itself.  This amendment does not affect a company’s ability to place their usual promotional materials in trade publications.

Similarly, while guilds and other awards organizations may hold non-screening events after the nominations announcement, this rule now specifies that film companies may not use such occasions as opportunities to sponsor promotional events that would otherwise violate Academy regulations.

The 85th Academy Awards will be held at the Dolby Theatre™ at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood, and will be televised live by the ABC Television Network.

No Crossdressing While Crossing The Border: Canada Bans TRANS-Portation! If Your ID Says Ken, Barbie Can’t Board The Flight

Well ain’t that about a itchbay? Transgender people are not allowed to board flights in Canada! There is a disturbing new section in the Identity Screening Regulations used in airports throughout Canada. Simply put, Transgender People are Completely Banned From Boarding Airplanes in Canada. The offending section of the regulations reads: 5.2 (1) An air carrier shall not transport a passenger if … (c) the passenger does not appear to be of the gender indicated on the identification he or she presents; Although this obviously discriminatory smear of regulation did not come to significant public attention until very recently, it apparently came into effect on July 27th, 2011. It is important to note that these regulations are not actually a piece of legislation, which would have had to pass through readings and votes in the House and Senate (which is probably why it went unnoticed until now). Rather, the Identity Screening Regulations are a set of rules implemented unilaterally by the Ministry of Transportation, as part of Canada’s so-called Passenger Protect, which is essentially the Canadian Federal Government’s equivalent to the U.S.’s “no-fly” list. Minister of Transportation Denis Lebel is, of course, a federal Conservative MP appointed to the cabinet position by Stephen Harper. So what does this mean? Well, in order to change the ‘sex’ designation on a Canadian Passport, the federal government requires proof that surgery has taken place, or will take place within one year. So for non-operative transgender persons, for gender nonconforming (genderqueer) persons, and for the vast majority of pre-operative transsexual persons, it is literally impossible to obtain proper travel documentation marked with the sex designation which “matches” the gender identity in which they live. In the eyes of the honourable Minister of Transportation, that makes trans people unfit to fly in Canada. It is interesting to note that this regulatory adjustment occurred immediately following the federal election in 2011. In the previous parliament, Bill C-389, a bill to amend the Human Rights Code to explicitly enshrine protections against discrimination for transgender people, had successfully passed in the House of Commons, only to die on the Senate floor when Harper declared a Federal Election (thereby dissolving parliament). This is jacked up. Not that it’s okay for men to fly wearing nothing but women’s lingerie — but really is it that serious??? Like you can’t tell from the ID that it’s the same person? SMH. Not cool Canada. Not cool. Source More On Bossip! Which One Would You Wife? Rep. Darrell Issa Responds to Team Obama’s New Regulations on Guns Sold in “Fast & Furious” (Video)

Supported by Obama…Here come the food police!

On Wednesday the U.S. Senate passed Senate Bill 510, the Food Safety Modernization Act. After the recent scandal with eggs, and all of the other food safety issues of recent years (meat, peanut butter, spinach), many people believe this is a positive step – and obviously Senate lawmakers, who voted 75 to 23 to pass SB 510, also think the bill is good. A segment of farm advocates have warned that SB 510 is a severe threat to small farms – and by extension, most raw milk producers – because of the sweeping powers it gives to the Federal Drug Administation (FDA) and the possibility for onerous paperwork and other regulations for farmers added by: congoboy

Stimulus Allows Big Polluters to Bypass Environmental Regulations

Photo: Vidor , Wikimedia, CC In its haste to jump-start “shovel-ready” stimulus projects, the Obama administration allowed many of the biggest polluters in the nation to sidestep key environmental regulations. The federal government made a stunning 179,000 “categorical exclusions” that allowed corporations — many with disastrous environmental records — to use stimulus funding to sponsor projects without submitting them to review under … Read the full story on TreeHugger
