As you very likely know by now, Meghan Markle is getting set to welcome a new member of her family. Indeed, the Duchess of Sussex is pregnant ! Unfortunately, Markle’s expecting state does not mean she is finished dealing with old members of her family. In fact, she’ll likely be stuck hearing from them even more over the next few months as they angle to meet their future young relative. We’re talking, of course, about Thomas Markle and Samantha Markle. The former is Meghan’s father, from whom she is mostly estranged and who lives in Mexico. Thomas missed his daughter’s wedding in May due to a heart condition and his involvement in a paparazzi photo scandal and has since ratcheted up his criticism of Meghan , saying she is ungrateful for his influence in her life and complaining (already) that he will never meet his grandchild. The guy sucks. Samantha Markle, meanwhile, is Meghan’s half-sister and she is totally estranged from Meghan. She is 17 years older than the Duchess; was not raised in the same household as her partial sibling; and barely knows Meghan at all. But she has still jumped on every media platform available over the past several months to bash the heck out of Markle every chance she gets. This woman really sucks. In light of Meghan and Harry’s major pregnancy news, however, both Thomas and Samantha has struck a more calm and rational tone. “It just makes everything that happened over the last year disappear,” Samantha said to The Sun this week of the baby bombshell, adding: “I want Meghan to be happy… and have peace. Everybody needs to be positive.” Naturally, of course, Samantha did manage to get a dig at her half-sister in there as well. “I would hope that – for the sake of the baby, the family, the world and my dad — that leaving him out of the statement was not intentional,” she continued. “I hope my dad is included and at a proper time. If he is excluded, I won’t be happy. It is in the best interests of the baby for my dad to be included.” The statement announcing Markle’s pregnancy was short and simple and didn’t mention any relatives at all. It simply read as follows: Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public. In conclusion, Samantha really hammered home the point of how the unnamed child ought to have its grandfather in its life: “A baby changes everything and softens everyone. I would only hope that there would be some adjustment or some way of including him.” Thomas himself has not yet issued a comment. But a source close to the grandparent-to-be also spoke to The Sun and praised Meghan while simultaneously angling to, yes, be part of the kid’s life. “Thomas is absolutely delighted,” this insider says, adding: “He heard the news before it was made public and was overjoyed. He thinks Meghan will make a great mum as she is already so maternal. It’s been almost five months since Meghan Markle married Prince Harry, and thus far, the marriage has been as devoid of drama as most royal unions (sadly, the Fergies of the world are the exception, not the rule). Fortunately, Meghan’s awful family has provided plenty of unintentional entertainment as they attempt to cash in on their tenuous ties to the throne. Half-sister Samantha Markle has been doing her best to humiliate Meghan since before her engagement was announced, and at first, some folks gave her the benefit of the doubt. With the possible exception of obsessive Suits most folks didn’t know much about Meghan’s personal life, and thus, certain media outlets ate up Sam’s accounts of a spoiled, selfish princess-in-training. It’s not like any of those traits are hugely uncommon amongst C-list actresses. But as we learned more about both Meghan and Samantha, a clearer picture began to emerge. Samantha was a failed actress (with a one-time appearance on freakin’ Matlock as her sole IMDb credit), who had been spent most of her life consumed with jealousy toward her more successful little sister. Even Samantha’s mother sided with Meghan and admitted that Sam’s been a thorn in her sibling’s side for quite some time: “Samantha has been dogging her for years,” she said of her daughter. “Everything she has said about her is a lie.” Despite Samantha having been thoroughly discredited (we now know she had zero contact with Meghan for more than a decade before the royal wedding), the 53-year-old remains a fixture on the British media circuit. And as E! News points out, Sam has finally admitted that her main goal in slandering her sister is to get rich by riding Meg’s coattails. “Let’s face it—we all have to survive,” Samantha said in a recent interview. “Money makes the world go round, so if you want to call that cashing in, that’s fine, but I think no one in media would refuse a paycheck for talking about the royals and, as a family, we’re not subject to royal protocol.” Hmm … we think a LOT of people would refuse a paycheck that required them to publicly insult members of their immediate family, but that’s just us. Samantha’s favorite justification for her repulsive behavior is that she’s “in the media.” When pressed about her nasty put-downs, she dismisses them as the result of having “worked in broadcasting and radio for a while,” adding that she’s “always been a bit boisterous.” So when Samantha shows up at Kensington Palace unannounced and has to be turned away by security, she’s not making her sister’s life a living hell. Samantha Markle put her money where her mouth is on Saturday morning. Or, to be more accurate, Samantha Markle put her wheelchair where her Twitter account has been. What we’re trying to is this: The awful half-sister of Meghan Markle actually tried to see the Duchess of Sussex at Kensington Place over the weekend. According to The Daily Mirror, which has even published photos of Samantha at the gates of this famous residence, Markle’s evil sibling made good on her threat to try and see the Royal Beauty early yesterday. Samantha – who suffers from multiple sclerosis – was pushed by her partner in a wheelchair through an open gate. British news outlets have sincereported that she got into a verbal “stand-off” with an officer guarding a security checkpoint and was turned away. Finally convinced she would not make it through, Samantha handed a guard a white envelope and then left. “Everybody would love to know what’s in that letter,” Samantha tweeted on Sunday. Samantha, of course, is 17 years old than Meghan. They share the same father, but never shared a household growing up. They barely really know each other. Yet this lack of a relationship hasn’t stopped Samantha from publicly disparaging and harassing Meghan, almost since the moment Meghan started dating Prince Harry. On endless irritating, cruel and self-serving occasions, Samantha has fired off Tweets or given interviews in which she accused Meghan of being a phony… a hypocrite… a spoiled brat… and even a dog killer . But whatever. Meghan has almost entirely maintained the high ground and never responded to her half-sister ridiculous rants. One must wonder whether this will change now that Samantha dared to actually get into the Palace. That’s scared territory. “This was a huge move on the part of Meghan’s sister to try to see her face to face and the fact she was turned away speaks volumes,” a source told The Mirror, adding: “This is the closest Meghan has come physically to that side of her family since she married into the royal family but palace staff had clearly been instructed not to allow her access.” Can you blame her?!? Just about a week ago, Samantha actually issued Meghan an apology , saying on air: “There is so much water under the bridge and so much has spun out of control that was never intended to. “I think everybody [in our family] was hurt at not being included or invited to the wedding, but I felt as though it could have all been nipped in the bud had everyone been included. “We all just agreed to move forward with positive resolve and the hurt feelings wouldn’t have snowballed.” In this same sit-down with Great Britain’s Channel 5, Samantha said of her visit overseas: “I’ve always wanted to see London, but really I wanted to make the trip and sort of speak the wishes and thoughts and sentiments of my father, and hopefully get a message to my sister.” It appears as if she has now at least done that. Following the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, Donald Trump remained unusually quiet on Twitter. He didn’t lambaste Alec Baldwin for making him look like a Steve Bannon puppet who lacks critical information about the world and who cannot control his emotions. Nor did the President make any untrue statements about the show’s ratings since he took office. Does this mean Trump was happy with Baldwin’s impression for a change? Or that he missed the Kristen-Stewart hosted installment ? Nope and nope. According to Politico, it actually means the Commander-in-Chief was angrier and more embarrassed by the show than ever before. Specifically, Trump, Sean Spicer and other White House officials were taken aback by Melissa McCarthy’s hilarious, spot-on impression of the Press Secretary. As the third full skit of the night, McCarthy came out on stage – looking eerily similar to Spicer – and played the spokesman as a belligerent, gum-chewing, water gun-toting blowhard who simply hates every member of the press. When asked about the impression by Extra, Spicer tried to laugh it off. He said McCarthy “needs to slow down on the gum chewing” because there were “way too many pieces in there,” adding that the actress “could dial [it] back” next time. We somehow doubt that will happen. But Politico says this impersonation is not being taken lightly inside the White House. The issue is less how McCarthy made Spicer look like an egomaniacal control freak and more that she made him look “weak,” simply because she’s a woman. “Trump doesn’t like his people to look weak,” a top Trump donor tells the site . Politico explains that the “unflattering send-up by a female comedian was not considered helpful for Spicer’s longevity in the grueling, high-profile job.” Spicer had already been under fire for the way he dressed (from Trump) and for the way he treats the media as an enemy combatant (from the public). He doesn’t appear to be long for this job, which probably makes him lucky. In a phone interview on Monday afternoon, Spicer tried to act all cool and distant. “I would much rather have the focus be on the president’s agenda and the success he’s having,” he told reporters, adding: “That’s all I’m saying on it.” When pressed about what his own feelings regarding the skit, however, he demurred. “It doesn’t really matter what I think,” he replied. Trump, of course, has laid into Saturday Night Live after nearly every episode this season. He says the show is terrible, mean-spirited, biased and unpopular. The President and Baldwin have gone back and forth often on Twitter, with the leader of the free world somehow unaware of how small and petty and pathetic this makes him seem. As you probably recall if you watch Love & Hip online , Juju wrote about Yandy’s personal life in her tell-all. Yandy felt betrayed and it’s perfectly understandable why. Juju proved she was not the best person to have in her life. Juju, however, put the blame on Yandy and said that Yandy was making everything about her. When the pair finally met up, they came to blows once more. Juju was quick to point out that she did not reveal anything about Yandy in the book and that she was taking it to extremes. At first, this did not sit well with Yandy. However, after some more promises, Yandy agreed that she went too far and both women put their feud to bed. Elsewhere, Samantha, Kim and Erica got together to discuss Lil’ Mendeecees birthday party. The ladies were less than impressed that Yandy was not around to help, or even pay some money for the event. Eventually, Samantha decided it would be best to just plan the party herself and invite Yandy to the event. Later, she went to the prison to visit Mendeecees, but she was shocked to learn that he had blocked her mother and Erika from visiting the prison. She tried to question him, but Mendeecees was not in the mood to give out answers. Yandy met up with Samantha and the pair spoke about how much effort they have been putting in. Aside from all the drama, Rich brought his daughter in to work as his new assistant. Ashley did not want her father to be a creep, so she questioned his choice in women. She decided to take control of his love life and set him up on a blind date. However, Rich was shocked when Ashley’s mother appeared. We never really found out what went wrong for them, but Ashley felt there were still some feelings there. Things were going well and Rich even made it clear he had a hotel room. Rich is back, you guys! Finally, Yandy and Kimbella discussed the drama with Samantha. Kimbella said she would be going to the party, but Yandy was worried there would be even more drama. Yandy decided against going to the party, while Kimbella showed up at the last minute. The other moms felt like Yandy had sent her to cause drama. Yes, the feud is most definitely back on.
