It hindered me from everything you know, my creative process, everything,” he said. “It made me stop believing in myself. Source: Scott Dudelson / Getty It’s a real shame that Dallas Mavericks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. didn’t make it to the finals during the 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend’s Slam Dunk contest, because if he had, he had every intention to bring out J. Cole for the big event. According to The Score , the players’ plan first emerged on the latest episode of the Black Opinions Matter podcast, a detail that was revealed by EPSN’s Amin Elhassan . “If Dennis would have made it to the final round, [J. Cole] was going to throw him the alley-oop,” Elhassan said, “The plan was, Cole would throw the ‘oop, Dennis would dunk it, and Cole would catch the ball and then he’d dunk it too.” He later continued, “That was going to be the ill, craziest dunk, use of a prop or a person ever, but we never got to [see] because [Dennis] was holding out until the final round and didn’t want to bring it out in the first round.” This wouldn’t have been Cole’s first appearance at an All Star Slam Dunk contest, the rapper dunked at NBA All-Star Weekend in 2012 with Kevin Hart –but it still would have been dope to see him do a comeback this year. Both Cole and Dennis Smith Jr. are from Fayetteville, NC and according to Smith, Cole has been a fan since Smith’s college career and was “courtside at almost every home game at [NC State],” Sa fact he dished to an Associated Press reporter after a game in December. Sucks that fans never got to experience this epic alley oop, but there’s always next year.

Splash News Dog Shelter Puts Lena Dunham On Blast After Returning Puppy For Made Up Reasons Lena Dunham has some explaining to do… The Girl’s actress put up a puppy PSA about how her dog of 4 years had to be returned to the shelter she rescued it from, because it had been “abused” and went on and on about his “challenging behavior”. Literally, no one asked her to do that. But, she went into detail about Lamby being abused repeatedly before she owned him. Peep her caption: In return, Yahoo New s decided to contact the shelter to see what was up wit Lamby, and they proceed to rip Lena’s azz to doggy chow over her lies. “We checked the records for Lamby,” Robert Vazquez told Yahoo Celebrity via email. “He was ‘owner surrendered, not enough time,’ so we do not know where she got ‘multiple owners that abused the dog.’” (In her New Yorker piece from March 2013, Dunham said the dog had “three other homes, three other names, but now he’s mine mine mine.”) “When she adopted the dog from us, it wasn’t crazy,” Vazquez continued. “I have pictures of the dog loving on Lena and her mom, which is weird if the dog was abused. It wouldn’t be cuddling with her or be in the bed with her ‘boyfriend’ in the pages of Vogue .” (Lamby appeared with Lena in a 2014 Vogue spread , which also featuring her co-star Adam Driver. The dog, which seemed like a trained pro, was with the pair on city streets , in bed , and chilling with the pair in the bathroom .) Vazquez says he personally was there “the four times Lena visited Lamby” prior to the adoption “because I’ve been in-charge of the dogs for the last 14-15 years at BARC. If Lamby had a bad past or was abused, do you think BARC would have adopted him to Lena knowing she’s a new star and put her — or the dog — in that situation? We would have told her if the dog had issues. We are a no-kill shelter . We don’t lie about the dogs’ histories because that gets them returned — and mentally it’s not good for dogs…. “It’s just hard to believe the dog was nasty when she took Lamby to every green room with her when Girls was still a thing 4 years ago.” Why would she volunteer a LIE like that?? According to TMZ , Carti was arrested at LAX after getting into a physical altercation with his girlfriend, Rubi. Cops and witnesses say Playboi Carti and his lady got into a fight and began to push on another. At some point, Carti allegedly pushed Rubi out the door, then threw her into an Uber. Cops showed up and put the bracelets on him and took him away. He posted $20,000 bail this morning. Not sure what kind of backlash Carti will get from this, but putting your hands on a woman is surefire way to be looked upon as a class A scumbag.
