We kicked off The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 4 with a woman being denied her loan at the bank – and also with a man we later learn is Dr. Linus Creel taking notes while watching the woman go into her car. She gets a gun from there and takes out numerous people at the bank. Watch The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 4 Online Cut to Red and Naomi are fighting because he wants her to stay in hiding and she desires to go back to the family she made after leaving Red. She talk about keeping her past a secret and how she’s amazed Red has arranged to work with Liz and how her new husband has sacrificed so much for her. Red says he can put them both into hiding. Liz then phones Red and says she wants to interrogate Naomi, but Red changes the subject to the bank killer and other seemingly innocent people who went nuts; he believes it’s all part of a mind control experiment being conducted by government agents. Okay, he’s got our attention now. Aram then determined Maddie and the other people who have committed random homicides of late all appear to have a genetic defect that makes them more prone to violence. We also learn that Maddie’s life pretty much sucked before she shot up that bank. Back over to the not-so-good doctor, who pulls out hair from his own head and calls up Senator Sheridan. Liz enters Cooper’s office and he informs her that these mind-control experiments are real because he witnessed some during his military days. He refers to it as Sub Project 7. So it’s off to Sheridan’s office for Liz and Ressler because he’s in charge of black budget programs. He denies any existence of Sub Project 7, but as our heroes depart, yup…. Dr. Linus comes in. Thanks to the work of a code-breaker, Dr. Creel is eventually identified in a photo from documents taken from Sheridan. So Liz goes undercover and pretends to be someone in need of psychiatric help in order to get close to Linus. She tells him a story about her husband leaving her and how she sometimes want to kill him and that his name is “Tom.” We have a feeling there wasn’t much fiction involved in this story. A lot of chaos then ensues during an anti-gun rally, as Linus has programmed another person to kill. But just as Linus holds a gun to Liz’s head, he’s shot dead… by the guy from the same hotel as Liz last week! Red later admits to Liz that he has hired this sniper to follow her around and if she wants him gone, then she must be hiding something. (Like a tied-up Tom, perhaps?). Liz hears this and leaves. The episode concludes with Liz sitting down and looking at a locked door. She has keys in her hands and keeps staring at the door. Tom HAS to be in there, don’t you think? Finally, Red convinces Frank and Naomi to go into hiding by blackmailing the former over an affair he’s been having. A lot went down during this episode of The Blacklist. A whole lot. Thursday’s long-awaited Scandal Season 4 Episode 1 answered the question fans of the compelling Shonda Rhimes drama been wondering all summer long: Just where in the world is Olivia Pope? Let’s start with the answer: Liv “Julia Baker” has been living with Jake for the past two months on an island “off the coast of Zanzibar.” The quiet life involved a lot of reading (Gone Girl FTW!) and such seclusion that supplies were delivered by boat. But then a letter arrives that confirms Harrison has been found dead. Liv promises Jake that they’ll only head back to DC for a “few days” in order for her to plan Harrison’s funeral, as viewers head over to the capital and find the Gladiators living new lives. Huck now goes by “Randy,” working as a clerk at an electronics store; he isn’t speaking to Quinn. Abby is the White House press secretary, where she must deal with talk about “Fitz 2.0″ and “Crazy Mellie,” as Twitter has dubbed the First Lady, who is going around in Uggs, Fruit Colored O’s and day-old shirts. She’s in a bad place. At the closed-down OPA office, a calm Quinn tells Live that she was tracked down due to her affection for “rare, complex” wines. So that’s where we are. But where are we going? Nowhere positive at first, as Huck wants nothing to do with Liv and Abby blames her for Harrison’s death. Jake checks in on David, who has done nothing with the B613 files given to him, considering his color-coding system revealed them to either be “Scary, Very Scary or Wait for Someone to Come Kill You Scary.” Gotta love it. Olivia then goes to see her dad, who invites her to freely ask him about any role he had in Harrison’s death, despite playing innocent. “I did however take care of your mother,” he half-lies, obeying an order from Fitz, lest the country might learn that the President’s mistress’ mother murdered the First Son. (NOTE: How awesome is Scandal?!?) Back at Olivia’s apartment that evening, her funeral planning is interrupted by a visit from a young woman named Kate, the aide to Senator Vaughn. She claims that Senator Sterling tried to rape her and that she sent him soaring over a railing (though not to his death) while fighting off the unwanted advance. Liv eventually decides to represent Kate. Scandal Cast Through the Years 1. Scandal Season 4 Cast Photo Scandal Season 4 returns on September 25 at 9/8C. Doesn’t the cast look glamorous in this photo? Over at The White House Cyrus is fending off attacks from “Lizzie Bear,” the new Republican National Committed head (hello, Portia De Rossi!), who says the party is getting impatient with Fitz’s polices and “across the aisle” antics, most notably the idea of nominating a Democratic Attorney General. Cyrus responds by asking David Rosen to consider the gig instead, prompting Rosen to suggest to Abby that she spilled about him possessing the B613 files and that Cy is out to buy his silence. Abby is irritating by the asserting and then complains that David’s obsession with the B613 files blew up their relationship. She tells him to get himself “some power” and actually “use it” if he wants to “change the world.” Upon learning Liv is in town, Fitz asks Cyrus if she’s staying, which leads to a sigh and the quote of the night: “You want to pretend we all don’t know how this movie ends?” At the funeral, the Gladiators reunite, while Jake spots Rowan playing spy. In the second-to-last scene, we head to the White House balcony and Mellie joking about how she couldn’t leap to her death if she wanted to, telling Fitz: “I’m not gonna try to kill myself. I’m not you.” Whoa there! Turns out, at some point after Jerry’s death, Fitz “had one bad night” where he looked to end it all. He orders his wife to never bring that up again. Finally, we close with Jake telling Olivia about flight plan back to the island when it becomes obvious this plan will never be realized. “Are we Gladiators or are we bitches?” is what Liv says Harrison would state in this setting. And during a closing montage, Fitz nominates David for Attorney General… Liv gives an impressive presser on behalf of Kate and, as they pass by each other in a rotunda, Liv and Fitz reach pinkies at each other but miss… though both appear satisfied that a mutual effort was made. So NOW the GOP is “worried” about being portrayed as racist for impeaching the first black president? We’re pretty sure that ship has already sailed… GOP Senator: President Obama Would Have Been Impeached If He Weren’t Black A shady Republican senator from Iowa made it plan during a recent interview that he feels President Obama’s skin color is the only reason he hasn’t already been impeached. He claims his political counterparts are too worried about being called racists for impeaching the first black President via Think Progress Sam Clovis, an Iowa Republican running for U.S. Senate, thinks the only reason President Obama has not been impeached by the House of Representatives is because he is the nation’s first black president. “I would say there are people in the House of Representatives right now that would very much like to take the opportunity to start the process,” Clovis said in an interview with the Daily Times Herald. “And I think the reason that they’re not is because they’re concerned about the media.” Clovis clarified that this concern is over Obama being a black president. “It’s not that what he has done would not rise to the level where it might be impeachable,” he added, explaining that it still is not a “practical, pragmatic issue.” Referencing President Clinton’s impeachment, Clovis said, “Now we have a situation where race is thrown into the cards as well. Whether we like it or not, race is an issue.” Dear GOP, we love hate to break it to you but……much of America already thinks you’re racist anyway.
