Sister Wives Season 5 Episode 14 Recap: Gimme Five (Wives)!

Sister Wives Season 5 Episode 14 saw another nice polygamist family discuss with Kody Brown & Co. the possibility of bringing another wife into the fold. Wow. Wuld the affable patriarch ever he consider such a bold move? Would Sister Wives then have to be renamed My Five Wives Too? Watch Sister Wives Season 5 Episode 14 Online As Sunday’s Sister Wives Season 5 Episode 14 got underway, Kody and Christine continued their long-brewing fight as their final destination approached. Talking for them is easy. Getting to the root of the problem isn’t. Especially when Kody sort of dodges any responsibility for the fight and instead puts the blame on Christine’s PMS, which he says makes women insane. As a man who calls four wives his, you’d think he’d know better. Yes, hormonal shifts are real and can influence moods, but when your wife expresses real disappointment and pain over a decision that you made? Pretty sure that warrants more than a PMS-related dismissal. Even Janelle – sweet, demure, quiet Janelle – couldn’t take this crap anymore and silently but notably walked out while Kody was spewing his nonsense. Hopefully this was all a teachable moment for him in the end. Soon enough, Kody, Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn gain some perspective from the Colliers, as we meet Nathan Collier, the head of the household. He has two wives and eight children, three of whom are grown. “I dated them at the same time, courted them at the same time,” Nathan tells the Browns of how their family came together, and he’s not apologizing for it. “We’re not going to hide our family,” Nathan explains of his polygamy. “The people who accept it, that’s great. The people who condemn us, we dismiss it.” “We don’t give them a second thought,” he said. As for courting another wife now, he seems to think it’s time. Kody doing the same? That’s likely to meet a bit more resistance from his wives … right? Sister Wives Season 4 Episode 16 Recap: A Truely Emotional Week For the Browns

Sister Wives Season 4 Episode 16 saw the Browns faced with a major health scare, setting an atypically somber tone for the typically light-hearted family drama. Truely, Kody’s daughter with wife Christine, was rushed to the ER. “This is serious,” Truely’s pediatrician told the worried family. And it was. “When eyes go crossed, that’s emergency.” Watch Sister Wives Season 4 Episode 16 Online That was the fear was that the youngster had contracted meningitis, especially when her condition didn’t improve after a few days. If anything, it worsened. Needless to say, this cast a pall over the fun that was Mariah’s goodbye party. Once he got the news in Sister Wives Season 4 Episode 16 , Kody Brown did all he could to help Truely and make sure she followed doctor’s orders. The dialysis didn’t kick in for nine days, however, making for an epically long week for the poor, ailing three-year-old and her concerned family members. Suddenly, all the inter-wife squabbling and awkwardness that often defines this TLC series seemed to fall by the wayside as the group came together. That was neat to see, because while their family is unconventional, they are still a family, and Truely needed every ounce of support she could muster. At last, she was permitted to return home, and feted with a tea party in her honor. Mariah went off to college on her own (with mom Meri) due to this unexpected emergency, but the silver lining of that was the mother-daughter bonding time. The moral of the story for the Browns: Health and happiness are all that matters. Anything can happen and everything can change, so it’s important to stick together and spend as much time with one another as we can, while we can. Whether you’re a polygamist sympathizer or not, we can all say amen to that. Liza Morales on Khloe Kardashian: Would She Make a Good Mother?

The Khloe Kardashian pregnant rumor mill may be quiet at the moment, but that isn’t stopping one new reality star from wondering about the potential offspring of this terrible X Factor host. Liza Morales – Lamar Odom’s ex-girlfriend and the mother of his children – has joined the cast of TLC’s Sister Wives Confidential . And on that educational program, Morales says of Odom’s wife: “I don’t know if she’s good maternally.” Ouch! Slam! Sort of! Morales is quick to add that she hasn’t “heard anything negative” about the way Khloe has been around her stepkids, so she’s pretty much just talking about of her rear end. As for similarities between Khloe and Morales? “I’m 100% Puerto Rican. I don’t see it,” Liza said. “We both have dark hair. We both have a cherub face. I don’t think we look alike, but I have heard it.” Kardashian, of course, has other concerns at the moment than what this Sister Wives cast member thinks. New reports claim Odom likes strippers ! This marriage is totally doomed.

Sister Wives’ Kody Brown: I’m Not a Womanizer!

Sister Wives’ Kody Brown may have four wives and 17 kids, but that does not make the polygamist reality TV star a womanizer, he insists. In a new tell-all interview with NBC News’ Natalie Morales, Kody and wives Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn were grilled about their lifestyle. Their new book, Becoming Sister Wives, also details much of the same material, notably Kody’s past and his many girlfriends in high school. Some viewers might say that’s not particularly surprising, considering he now has four wives (he’s only legally married to his first wife, Meri). Kody explained in the interview with Morales that when he was 14, he was trying to figure out his life as a wild boy, before his “calling.” His calling as a spiritual person, that is. Natalie’s response? “So it wasn’t that you chose religion to be a womanizer?” Incredulous and stunned, Kody replied, “Is that what you think I am, a womanizer?” He went on to defend himself, insisting that he had “done the emotional work” in his relationships and “shouldered their needs as much as I could.” He insists, “I was never womanizing. … This is NOT an open marriage.” Is it, though? No doubt he cares for each, but is religion just providing cover for him to pursue new women? Wonder what Meri & Co. think deep down. Sister Wives :

Happy Birthday, Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe would have been 86 today. The actress and icon died of a drug overdose under still-debated-to-this-day circumstances a half century ago. Her name alone conjures up memories of beauty and tragedy. Marilyn . So talented, so troubled and so profoundly sexual to all those who remember her. Future generations will know her no differently. The enigmatic star, underrated as an actress, stole every scene she was in, from her bit part in All About Eve to her Oscar-worthy role in Some Like It Hot . In her personal life, Monroe made headlines whether she was singing “Happy Birthday” to the president, getting married or showing up late to the set. It’s no wonder Marilyn fascinates, inspires (see Lindsay Lohan Playboy photos , or the below pic Tweeted by Lady Gaga today) and mesmerizes to this day. It’s also no wonder that the late Monroe became the focal point of the film My Week With Marilyn or NBC’s new Broadway-themed series Smash . Marilyn’s career, and life, was pure theater.

Sister Wives Cast: Cleared in Bigamy Investigation!

After a long investigation, bigamy charges will not be filed against Kody Brown and his four spouses, who gained prominence last year on TLC’s show Sister Wives . The Utah County Attorney’s Office announced Thursday that it will not pursue a criminal case against the Browns, based on the office’s interpretation of state law. Utah County Attorney Jeffrey Buhman said that his office has adopted a formal policy not to prosecute the practice of bigamy unless it occurs in conjunction with another crime or if parties to the marriage or relationship is under 18. “The purpose of this policy is to prevent the future prosecution in Utah County of bigamist marriages entered into for religious reasons,” Buhman wrote. “The criminal case against the Browns is now closed, and no charges will be filed against them for bigamy,” unless new evidence is discovered, he said. Kody Brown and his four wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn, issued a statement Thursday, saying they are “delighted by the news that the prosecutors have formally declared that the investigation of our family is at an end.” “We have spent years under investigation and ultimately had to move from the state of Utah to protect our family and particularly our children,” they said. “The decision to create the new policy in light of our lawsuit is wonderful news for not just ourselves but the many thousands of plural families in Utah.” Attorneys for the Browns aren’t dropping their challenge to the law. The Browns sued Utah last year, and attorney Jonathan Turley said that will continue. “While I am pleased that the prosecutors are promising to leave this family alone, the decision will not end our challenge to the state law,” Turley wrote. Attorneys for the Browns filed an 80-page motion and Thursday “challenging the anti-bigamy law on seven distinct constitutional and statutory grounds.” In February, a federal judge ruled there was sufficient evidence to allow the Browns to pursue a lawsuit contesting the constitutionality of Utah’s bigamy law. Should the Sister Wives cast have been prosecuted?

Sister Wives Season Finale Recap: Welcome, Solomon!

In typical reality show fashion, we already knew about Kody Brown’s 17th child being born well before the episode aired, but Sunday we got a behind-the-scenes look. The emotions leading up to Robyn’s delivery of son Solomon were wide-ranging, including those of Kody’s first three wives, Meri, Christine and Janelle. How did the original three take it? What else went down? At lunch, Robyn says she’s nervous about how Kody feels about another child. Meri, Christine and Janelle reassure her that “Kody’s great” and that she’s going to feel “relieved.” Just what one wants to feel when one’s spouse cares. Relief. Robyn tells the wives that they are the reason Kody is so great. Heartfelt? Most likely. Politically savvy comment? Absolutely. You gotta get in good right now. Christine may be coming around as a result, too. Making peace with Robyn, she admits, “Being jealous of her, what it really did, it made her feel like she wasn’t welcome. That I didn’t want her as a sister wife.” “I welcome Solomon as my son and I promise to be better,” Christine adds, while Janelle is just sort of excited. Excited, but not get-up-at-all-hours excited. Meri observes, “It’ll be fun to have Solomon, but it’ll be very different than if it were my own.” Ya think, Meri? She and Robyn have become very close, though. She says she always wanted to feel that deep kind of connection with a sister wife and Robyn was the first to provide that. Oh, snap, Christine and Janelle. After the due date comes and goes (by two weeks), Robyn goes into labor, at home, and gives birth, at home. This happened on October 25, so it’s pretty timely. Meri came over to say, “Good luck! Happy pushing!” Read: I’m glad it’s not me! A few hours later and voila, Kody and Robyn welcomed their first child together. “I was impressed,” Kody said. “Here’s our dream come true.” Wonderful. Perhaps the most startling moment of the night, in a good way, came when Robyn said she needed to talk to Meri alone. But not to stir up drama. “I want to know if you want me to be your surrogate,” she says. Meri can’t bear children, so this is one incredible offer … from the woman also married to her husband. Robyn is genuine in her offer, and Meri is clearly moved. In this family-themed episode, the other 16 Brown children talked about the move from Utah to Vegas. It’s going well, for the most part. Keep the faith, kids. Well, that’s that. What did you think of this season of the quirky TLC reality hit? What do you think of Kody Brown and his four beloved Sister Wives in general?
