Petra Nemcova Tsunami Survivor for GQ Portugal of the Day

There is a reason that Petra Nemcova survived the Tsunami and her husband or fiancé didn’t, and that reason wasn’t to help Southeast Asia with all her philanthropic work. You know like one of those people who give purpose and meaning to the traumatic event in their life. She survived the Tsunami to be fit and posing in GQ Portugal with her amazing eastern European genetics, and by amazing eastern European genetics I mean her tits…This shoot is crazy… It is the kind of shoot that makes me want to some how convince her to Tsunami all over my face with her vagina….only in this Tsunami, the only thing dying is every other woman in the world, figuratively, because that pussy may be a bad luck charm, but the rest of her is the kind of thing that looks addictive enough to want want to get pregnant. She’s a survivor, who has been through a lot, but looks better than all you lazy American girls who have never seen tragedy, struggle or despair..and that’s why I like her better than you….what I don’t like is every single man who has had sex with her…because they aren’t me, and giving her unrealistic expectations for the sex intend to have with these pics…true story.

Eiza Gonzalez: Totally in Love with Liam Hemsworth!

Man, Liam Hemsworth must be some kisser! Having met The Hunger Games star just over a week ago during a nightclub party in honor of the Floyd Mayweather boxing match, Eiza Gonzalez is reportedly totally in love with the actor already. An anonymous friend of the 23-year old singer confirms to Life & Style that Gonzalez spent last Sunday night with Hemsworth and that the two “never left” each other’s side during this weekend in Las Vegas. Eiza Gonzalez: So In Love with Liam Hemsworth! “They’ve moved really fast,” this pal tells the tabloid, as evidenced by the photos of Eiza kissing Liam that surfaced last Tuesday. The images hit the Internet just 24 hours after the world learned Hemsworth had split with fiancee Miley Cyrus, but multiple sources say the couple actually called it quits weeks earlier, but Miley did not want the news to go public. Liam and Eiza will be apart for the near future because he’s busy filming The Hunger Games movies, wile she’s promoting Los Croods in Mexico City, but this insider says the two plan to continue their courtship once their schedules clear up. Still, do not cry for Cyrus. She is allegedly hooking up with music producer Mike Will Made It .

Rihanna, Slow Loris Pose For Photo; Two Dudes Get Arrested in Thailand

Stopping by the island paradise of Phuket, Thailand, on her Diamonds world tour last Friday, Rihanna took a selfie with an endangered slow loris. “Look who was talkin dity to me!” Rihanna captioned the pic. Soon after, two men got arrested over this. Why, you ask? Little did Rih know she was aiding local authorities in enforcing a law banning Thai citizens from charging tourists money to take photos with the primate. According to the Phuket News , officials from the Ministry of Natural Resources began investigating the photo at the urging of animal welfare groups. A police raid turned up two suspects, 20-year-old and 16-year-old males, who were both taken into custody. All because Rihanna ‘s pic went viral. The men could face up to four years in prison and big fines while the cute critters in their possession will be returned to a national park in Phang Nga. The slow loris, which is native to Southeast Asia, has seen its numbers dwindle dramatically since the 1960s due to deforestation and the wildlife trade. Many of the animals seen in markets often have high mortality rates due to illegal capturing and extensive abuse suffered at the hands of their keepers. Hence, wildlife’s conservation groups were concerned that such pics put online by Rihanna could increase the danger to the protected species. No one’s targeting Rihanna in the investigation, just the fact that there were guys with a loris who were offering it up for photos with passing tourists. Along with the slow loris, the Barbadian singer uploaded an Instagram shot of her feeding elephants, writing, “They all hail Empress when she walk by.” Word. Rihanna wasn’t done causing a Thailand stir, either. The controversial star posted NSFW tweets about taking in an X-rated sex show in Phuket’s red-light district, which also sparked the interest of local police. Those shows are against the law. Hopefully, as her tour moves to Singapore and Australia, she’ll stick to taking selfies with non-endangered wild animals like koalas, kangaroos or Chris Brown .

Lindsay Lohan is a High-Class Escort, Michael Lohan Actually Says

Lindsay Lohan is an actual, high-class escort who pays her bills by dating rich men, according to a new report … using quotes from her father, Michael Lohan. Just when you think you’ve heard everything. Desperate for money, the troubled actress has, celebrity gossip site Radar Online claims, begun offering up her “services” as a professional escort. Bolstering this claim? None other than her dear ol’ dad. “She is getting paid to date rich men,” Michael Lohan said of his 26-year-old daughter. “Dina (Lindsay’s mother) is pimping her out … it’s disgusting!” MiLo isn’t the only one dishing on her alleged new profession. “The dates last for days, and the guys pay for everything – hotel, travel costs, food, whatever – as well as jewelry and other gifts,” someone close to her revealed. No one is suggesting that Lohan is doing anything more than act as arm candy for rich playboys who like to be seen with beautiful and famous women. However, that’s definitely the implication of an “escort.” One of Lindsay’s most high profile clients ? A man who is third in line to the throne of Brunei, a small country in Southeast Asia: Prince Haji Abdul Azim. A billionaire playboy who loves American celebrities, he allegedly paid Lindsay a whopping $100,000 to join him in London for a New Year’s celebration. Wealthy Spanish-American painter Domingo Zapata is another client who reportedly supported the troubled actress for much longer than a holiday. “Domingo let Lindsay live in his penthouse at the Bowery Hotel in NYC for free and at his L.A. pad at Chateau Marmont [for months],” says one of his confidantes. “They’re both super swanky,” the source said, adding that there’s no way a broke Lindsay Lohan could’ve afforded either of those trips on her own. What do you think: Is Lindsay an escort? Would you hire her? Will she be lavished with this kind of royal treatment in Lynwood Cell Block D later this year?

OK Go Take You Behind The Scenes Of Their L.A. Parade

‘We are marching a loop that spells out ‘OK Go’ through Los Angeles,’ frontman Damian Kulash explains to MTV News. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Kelly Marino Ok Go’s Tim Nordwind and Damian Kulash on the set of their video for “Back From Kathmandu” Photo: MTV News By now, thanks to their interpretive dance moves , treadmill heroics and Rube Goldberg machines, OK Go have basically become the premiere purveyors of gleefully ingenious, adorably low-budget music video magic. Which is just part of the reason why their latest endeavor — leading an impromptu parade through the streets of Los Angeles for no particular reason — also proved to be their most challenging: Seems no matter how they figured it, they just didn’t have the cash to make it happen. “We have wanted to have a big street parade for a long time,” OK Go frontman Damian Kulash told MTV News. “Our last album, we toured on for almost three years, and we were opening for these massive bands — we’d play for 25-30,000 people a night — and it would feel like a job. “And then we spent a weekend in New Orleans and saw a bunch of second line parades, and realized music doesn’t need to be about the product you make all the time, it doesn’t have to be about recordings or videos or anything; it can be about getting a bung-load of people together and making sound. “So we’ve wanted to do a street parade for a long time,” he continued. “The problem is: In Los Angeles, [you need] city permits, and you can’t really get a couple hundred people together to play music without paying the city a bunch of money.” Luckily — much like they did when they made their massive “This Too Shall Pass” clip — OK Go found a corporate sponsor willing to help foot the bill. Teaming with the folks at Range Rover, they designed a parade route using the company’s Pulse of the City GPS app and invited their fans to take part in their large-scale “art project.” “The idea is … we are going to make one giant painting, essentially, with Los Angeles. There’s a free application that tracks where you go,” Kulash explained. “We are marching a loop that spells out ‘OK Go’ through Los Angeles. We’re hoping when people see this, they’ll think, ‘That’s a great idea. I’m going to get into my car and drive all over Southeast Asia and make the Mona Lisa!’ ” And so, last month, they marched an army of about 150 through gridlocked traffic and neighborhood streets — playing their own songs and covers, such as Outkast’s “Hey Ya” and Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger” — and assembled the footage into a video for their song “Back From Kathmandu.” The end result premiered Monday, and, while it’s another fitting addition to the band’s already-impressive video reel, to the guys in the band, it’s also something more. “It’s our art project, and, in a way, it’s helped me discover parts of Los Angeles I never knew existed,” Kulash said. “On the smaller side streets, people come streaming out of their houses, and all the kids join the parade. Everybody’s leaning out of their houses, and it makes you feel the community of Los Angeles in a way that’s generally hard to do because you usually drive through it.” Have you seen the “Back From Kathmandu” video? Massive Coral Bleaching Damages 95% of Corals in Philippines

Photo via Sarah Depper As much as 95% of the corals in the Philippines have suffered bleaching after the 2009-2010 El Niño event that boosted the temperatures in the Indian Ocean and waters off Southeast Asia during the beginning of this year. Warmer water is often responsible for bleaching (the die-off of symbiotic algae living on the corals) and we usually hear about corals impacted in the Caribbean. But such a massive bleaching as this in the Philippines is a rare and particularly distressing news item as the possibility for recovery of b… Read the full story on TreeHugger

Live Two-Month-Old Tiger Cub Found Hidden in Suitcase at Thailand Airport

Live tiger cub found in suitcase at Thai airport By the CNN Wire Staff August 27, 2010 12:36 p.m. EDT This two-month old tiger cub was found stuffed in a woman's luggage at Bangkok's international airport. STORY HIGHLIGHTS * Authorities are trying to determine where the tiger came from * Trade monitoring network says a baggage scan sparked airport workers' suspicions * The tiger cub is two months old Bangkok, Thailand (CNN) — A live tiger cub hidden in a suitcase filled with stuffed toys was spotted as it went through a luggage X-ray at a major Thai airport, a wildlife trade monitoring network said. Staff at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport contacted authorities after a baggage scan showed an item resembling a real cat in a passenger's over-sized bag, the non-profit organization TRAFFIC said Thursday. Investigators found a sedated, two-month-old tiger cub when they opened the bag for inspection. Officials are trying to determine where the cub came from and whether it was caught in the wild or bred in captivity, TRAFFIC said. Authorities found the tiger Sunday in a suitcase belonging to a 31-year-old Thai national, who was scheduled to board a flight for Iran, the organization said. Chris R. Shepherd, TRAFFIC's deputy regional director for Southeast Asia, praised authorities for discovering the smuggling attempt, but said the case showed a need for more monitoring and tougher punishments. “If people are trying to smuggle live tigers in their check-in luggage, they obviously think wildlife smuggling is something easy to get away with and do not fear reprimand,” Shepherd said. “Only sustained pressure on wildlife traffickers and serious penalties can change that.” added by: EthicalVegan

Cambodia Sings

Today Shannon, Heather and I get back on the road and begin what will most likely be the most hectic and exciting three months of our lives. The last couple of weeks has given me more time to reflect on the world, what’s at stake in this election, and how proud I am of my family. Of course, I’m proud of my parents. I’m also very proud of my brothers, who are serving our country in the Armed Forces, and my sister, who is entering her senior year of high school and has so much to look forward to as she gets ready to begin a new chapter of her life. With that in mind, here’s the latest video from Shannon that chronicles our trip to Southeast Asia with Mom and highlights her inspiring devotion to charities that seek to ease the pain of those suffering across the globe. I am truly blessed. And, I want the world to know how much we appreciate our fans’ support. See you out on the trail!
