‘True Blood’ Stars Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer Expecting

According to Entertainment Weekly, the “True Blood” stars will welcome a new addition to their family in the fall. This is 29-year-old Paquin’s first pregnancy, while Moyer will be a proud new papa for a third time. He has two children from previous relationships. Paquin and Moyer met and fell in love during the filming of the first season of “True Blood,” on which their characters Sookie and vampire Bill Compton engage in a heated romance. They were married in 2010 in Malibu, California. Both actors will reprise their roles on HBO’s vampy soap when it returns for a fifth season on June 10. The details surrounding new episodes of the Alan Ball-created drama are always kept under wraps until air time, but Moyer did tell MTV News he’s hoping his character switches things up this season and gets to hook up with Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsg

Lauren Conrad and Kyle Howard have broken up after three years of dating. People confirmed the split late Friday, though neither party has commented. The former reality star, 25, and actor, 33, deliberately kept their romance far away from cameras. But they have been spotted out and about all over Hollywood since they began dating in 2008 and never seemed anything but happy. It’s sad news, obviously, whenever a good relationship ends. But another will come along. When one door closes, another opens. Remember, LC, today is when your book begins. The rest is still unwritten.

Lindsay Lohan: I’d Like to Get Out More …

Lindsay Lohan is really getting screwed over by the criminal justice system. Serving her jail sentence inside a $2.25 million, 3,000 beach house in Venice Beach, Calif., where she relaxes , parties and gets paid big bucks to shoot commercials? That’ll teach her! In a new interview , Lohan opens up about her tough life. “I’m a very social person, and I like being outside, especially in Venice Beach. I’d like to get out more – just go out and have dinner,” Lindsay says. “I was really upset not being able to go to see my little brother (Dakota “Cody” Lohan) at his birthday party. He just turned 16. That bummed me out.” Of course, there are silver linings. Like NOT BEING BEHIND BARS . “I’ve been having a lot of work-related meetings. Sometimes my friends come over. And I get to see my sister, Ali, which is nice,” Lindsay admits. “When my friends come over, they’re not drinking,” notes the star, wearing an ankle monitor. “Alcohol is not in my house, it’s not part of my life.” But, have no fear, celebrity gossip photographers. When Lindsay is “released” on June 29, it won’t necessarily mean the end of nightclubs for her. “I don’t think you should ever say never,” she explains. Great. Only time will tell, but Lindsay is steadfast that she’s clean for good: “I’ve grown up and I’m willing to do what I have to do to prove that.” “This may come as a shock, but I mean it: I want to start my community service. I want to finish that so I can work in August and September.” “You go through experiences. I do understand that I need to gain some of the respect back, but I’m willing to work hard for that. True Blood Sex and Violence Meter: Buried and Fairied

It’s been clear for the last few weeks, but last night’s finale drove it home: The third season of True Blood really should have ended with that episode where Russell makes his literally spine-tingling news appearance and provokes a full-out human/vampire war. Instead, the show’s follow-ups have mostly sidestepped that promising development, and all of the season’s plotlines either ran out of steam or were hurriedly shuffled away for abrupt character reboots that felt like an overeager jump on season four. The season began strong and laid out a lot of promising ideas, but that finale…well, let’s see how it fared via the Sex and Violence Meter, shall we?

Gay Saudi Diplomat, Ali Ahmad Asseri, Seeks Asylum In U.S.

WASHINGTON — A Saudi diplomat in Los Angeles reportedly has asked for political asylum in the United States, claiming his life is in danger if he is returned to Saudi Arabia. The report Saturday by NBC News quoted the diplomat, Ali Ahmad Asseri, as saying that Saudi officials have ordered him back to his country because he is gay and had become a close friend to a Jewish woman. Asseri in a letter also reportedly criticized the role of militant imams in Saudi society. NBC said that Asseri, who is first secretary of the Saudi consulate in Los Angeles, was questioned by the Department of Homeland Security after he applied for asylum. The department declined comment to The Associated Press when asked about the diplomat. A call to Asseri's lawyer was not returned Saturday. added by: TimALoftis
