Don’t let these PC police make you believe that having a body mass index above 25 is normal and safe. It’s not! It means you’re a fatty and need to get in shape or you will die young. Yes, she has a beautiful face, but she got lucky. Someone who’s into BBWs took an interest in her and made her kinda famous. For the rest of you fatties, the only thing to look forward to in life is type 2 diabetes. What next? Obese male models? I must say that working @theAshleyGraham show with full figured models who represent (Real American women) were the kindest, sexiest and most beautiful models ever… One of my favorite shows every season by far!!! The Empowering of real women to be and feel sexy and not have to be the stereotypical model size was amazing. Racist Or Nah? Nick Cannon Dons “Whiteface” To Promote The Release Of New Album

Would this be okay if he were white, donning blackface ? Sorry but we have to ask. Nick Cannon Dresses Up As White Man To Market Album Nick Cannon has some folks out of sorts after posting up photos of himself on Instagram dressed up as a white hipster. Apparently his hashtags didn’t go over too well either. Do you think the stereotypical hashtags make the costume more, or less offensive? Nick also posted a photo of Robert Downey in the “blackface” costume he wore for “Tropic Thunder” to defend his actions. Is it the same thing or is Cannon’s humor lost on you? Hit the flip for more of his tweets about the stunt. Continue reading

For Discussion: Mel B Booed On America’s Got Talent For Chastising Contestant Over “Black Jokes”, Are Racism Or Racist Jokes Ever Funny?

Don’t be mad Mel, we’re sure he was only trying to “spice” things up, right? Mel B Booed On America’s Got Talent For Chastising Contestant Over Stereotypical Black Joke According to TMZ reports : Mel B isn’t winning any hearts and minds in the “America’s Got Talent” audience … sources tell TMZ, she just got booed AGAIN … this time over an arguably racist joke. Sources at the NYC auditions tell TMZ, a comedian took the stage moments ago and began to tell a joke about how black taxi drivers are more entertaining than other taxi drivers … and Mel buzzed him. She said, “I found it really offensive. There was no need to do a stereotypical black joke. It was not funny.” But the audience disagreed … booing Mel for hitting the red button. Fellow judge Howie Mandel then asked the audience if they thought the joke was offensive … and the audience replied with a loud NO. Howard Stern said Mel lacked a sense of humor and Heidi Klum chimed in, saying, “There will always be jokes made about being black and white … I agree with you that we should laugh about it.” Have you ever laughed at racist jokes? Are there certain race jokes that are too sensitive to deserve a laugh? What do you think of the white folks (Howard Stern and Heidi Klum) reaction to the joke? Image via WENN

WATCH: Marc Jacobs In ‘Disconnect’ — Does The Designer Have A Future As An Actor?

I’ll say two things about Marc Jacobs . He designs beautiful clothes, and he has real screen presence in Henry Alex Rubin’s engrossing  Disconnect .  I’m going to stop short of saying the fashion designer can act because he wasn’t on screen long enough for me to reach any real conclusion.   But …when he was on screen at an early preview that I saw, I couldn’t take my eyes off of him. I’m not saying Jacobs was as mesmerizing as Mickey Rourke  in  Body Heat cameo (which I’ve posted below), but he’s at least got me wondering what he would do with a more substantial role.  (Preferably, one that did not allow Jacobs to use a cigarette as a crutch as he does in the red-band clip I’ve posted below.) Does Marc Jacobs Have An Acting Career Ahead? I’m not going to hold my breath, because as Jacobs told the Huffington Post , “I never wanted to be an actor,”  but I predict he’s already getting plenty of  encouragement from his film-industry and fashion friends. (That’s what they do until they think you’re over.)   Disconnect opens on Friday, but the fashion crowd always sees everything ahead of the hoi polloi. Jacobs plays the leader of an Internet porn ring that takes in adolescent runaways in off the street and gives them shelter and a paycheck to engage in masturbatory webcam sex (and more, if they’d like). But, like most of the characters in Disconnect , he’s not your stereotypical “porn baron” as he described his role to HuffPo. “Porn Baron” Marc Jacobs in Disconnect Mickey Rourke in Body Heat What do you think?  Does he have a future as an actor?  Leave your comments below. Glenn Beck Slams Glee as "Horrifying," Plots Alternative

Glenn Beck gave a speech on Friday at the Faith & Freedom Coalition conference and made two very simple points: Glee is destroying America; and he knows how to fix it. The former Fox News anchor told attendees that he and his wife watched a recent episode of the Fox hit and could not believe it dared to address topics such as homosexuality and bullying. “It’s horrifying some of the things that they’re teaching high schoolers,” Beck said of Glee . “But it’s brilliantly done. It’s produced, brilliantly. Its music, brilliant. Its acting, brilliant. Its cinematography, brilliant. All of it!” Glenn Beck Hates on Glee So what is a conservative pundit to do in the face of such disgusting propaganda? Come up with a counter alternative, of course. Beck won’t reveal what he has in mind, but told the crowd he has “spent about a year now trying to put together a push-back [to Glee ] with artists, with music. But not the stereotypical conservative Lee Greenwood music.” He has named the mysterious initiative his “Oedipus Project” because “the left will be making out with me and they’ll never see it coming.” All Beck has said about the project is that it will somehow involve a rapper and more information will be revealed at his three-day “Restoring Love” event July 28 at Cowboy Stadium in Dallas. Really, that’s a thing. This is not the first time Beck has gone off on Glee . Last year, he referred to the show as a “nightmare” that centered on “self-gratification.” Choose a side now in this feud:

Hey Big Spender: Studies Show That The Average American Will Spend $126 On Valentines Day, Will You Be One Of Them???

J.Lo said “Love Don’t Cost A Thing” sheeeeeeeeeeit we can’t tell… The visual assault happens pretty quickly after stores clear out their winter holiday displays. It starts with a few standard candy bars discreetly forming into heart shapes, and then the contagion spreads. By February 1, your favorite retailer is hemorrhaging pink and red. The signs all proclaim “Happy Valentine’s Day!” Subtext: “Buy lots of our stuff! It’s the same stuff as before, but a different color. You know, to prove your love!” This is out of control. According to the National Retail Federation, the average American will spend $126.03 on Valentine’s Day this year. That’s the highest amount since the survey started ten years ago. Those numbers are enough to give my frugal heart a coronary. I don’t do Valentine’s Day. I’m not anti-love and I’m not anti-gift, but I just can’t participate on principle. Call me a Valentine’s Day Grinch, but I don’t think I’m just being contrarian here. I don’t see a lot of equality in this love-inspired holiday. The NRF survey found that men spend nearly twice as much as women on Valentine’s Day. Informal polling of my male colleagues indicated an even wider spending gap. It was also implied by my co-workers that they think women expect gifts and that the dollar amount can matter. It’s hard to support a holiday that may make men feel inadequate and women seem materialistic, not to mention one that marginalizes all those single Americans. Source $126 seems like a bit much you say? Perhaps for some ladies it’s not enough. Let’s take a look at the stereotypical things that this money is spent on. Maybe it will help some of you fellas save a buck or two and be a lil more creative with how you tell your significant other that you love them.

‘I Am Number Four’ Director Says Aliens ‘Much More Intriguing’ Than Vampires

D.J. Caruso and stars Alex Pettyfer and Timothy Olyphant discuss which is the better fantasy character. By Kara Warner Alex Pettyfer and Teresa Palmer in “I Am Number Four” Photo: DreamWorks If one were to pinpoint a particular fantasy character that has dominated pop culture over the past few years, most people would agree that vampires have taken center stage as the mythological figure of the moment. However, with extreme popularity often comes a point of overexposure. Not that we’ve reached that point yet with the fang fixation, but there are other creatures waiting in the wings. Take the new alien-adventure movie “I Am Number Four,” for example, which showcases a sexy new take on the stereotypical green Marvin the Martian-type aliens. When MTV News caught up with the film’s director, D.J. Caruso, and stars Alex Pettyfer and Timothy Olyphant recently, we posed them an important question: Are aliens the new vampires? “I didn’t notice aliens kind of going in and out of fashion,” said Olyphant, who plays mentor Henri to Pettyfer’s Number Four (John Smith). “Where vampires kind of come and go, aliens, in general, it’s a broader palette, so they’ve been around,” he explained. Caruso said: “I’d take aliens over vampires any day. Aliens are much more intriguing.” The “Disturbia” director agreed with Olyphant’s sentiments about extra-terrestrial longevity. “Aliens have always been around,” he said. “Vampires: They’re wearing out.” Plus, while vampire stories are based in fiction, we can’t say for certain whether life exists on other planets or in other galaxies. On the possibility of life elsewhere in the universe, Pettyfer said, “There’s got to be something out there — one way or another.” Caruso agreed: “I think there’s something else out there. I can’t imagine that God’s just allowing this one planet to function; I think he’s got a bunch of experiments floating around.” Check out everything we’ve got on ” I Am Number Four.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

Chocolate Covered Taye Diggs Gets All Mushy About Married Life And His Little Blessing

Looks like Taye Diggs is becoming the ultimate father and husband. In a recent interview with Good Housekeeping, he speaks on the best and worst thing about being married and what it’s being a father… The best thing about being married is… having your best friend by your side constantly. Knowing that someone has your back. The toughest part about being married is… being so close to someone that they get on your nerves more than you thought anyone ever could [laughs]. I’m talking about my getting on her nerves. I never thought I’d be caught… doing the grunt work — stroller in one hand and diaper bag in the other. I always thought I’d have everything worked out, but when you’re in it, you’re not thinking about looking cool. The most challenging part of being a dad is… the lack of sleep. The most rewarding part of being a dad is… when he smiles, it’s as if he’s blessing us. We’re the parents and should be the ones in control, but he’s the little prince, and we feel like we’re waiting on him. My definition of romance is… after you’ve been together for so long and had kids, you’ve done all the stereotypical romantic stuff — chocolate and flowers. It becomes what’s valuable to the other person in that moment, which for my wife is giving her a break — like, by handling bath time. The most used appliance in our house is… the blender. My wife is always making these crazy shakes that smell awful. But they have helped her lose weight. The least used appliance in our house is… the iPad. I never have time. I have to force myself to have fun and use it. On a house project, one of the most important things is… knowing your limits. My wife never throws anything at me that I can’t handle. I’m very proud of putting together a simple plastic slide for Walker. I felt like the king of the world. My favorite family ritual is… singing. We sing to Walker; we’re always making up songs — about poop, snot, the car seat. We’re both musical people, and my mother raised [my siblings and me] with songs about brushing our teeth, so that’s definitely something that’s being handed down. Source

MGMT Make Love To Lady Gaga On Congratulations

‘We don’t know if our new album is crap or not,’ Andrew Van Wyngarden says. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Rya Backer MGMT’s Andrew Van Wyngarden Photo: MTV News MGMT didn’t set out to make the stereotypical sophomore album, but, in a roundabout way, that’s exactly what their upcoming Congratulations (due April 13) is. An ambitious, swirling, downright paranoid thing, full of songs that try very hard to shed much of the fanbase they earned with the success of “Kids,” Congratulations is very much the end product of a young band facing the twin specters of fame and expectation, staring them down, then saying “F— it, let’s go surfing.” Which, of course, is exactly how the guys planned it. “I think the album in general is kind of, like, lyrically and musically, a reaction to fame and success. We said that it wasn’t going to be, but then we realized that was impossible, because we were just writing songs that were coming from whatever mindset we were in at the time,” MGMT’s Andrew Van Wyngarden told MTV News. “And the mindset we were in was post year-and-a-half of touring, chaos, like we had been in a tornado of chaos, so we didn’t really know what to do, so we wrote songs that ended up being about that. But they’re also about that pseudo-mystical … bullsh–.” Case in point — the title track, which Van Wyngarden describes as “kind of meandering upon the possibly negative effects of success,” or the very weird “Lady Dada’s Nightmare,” which is about, well … “It’s about having sex with Lady Gaga,” Van Wyngarden laughed. Congratulations is a very heady trip indeed, featuring 12-minute songs about surfing in Siberia, jittery odes to Brian Eno and the first single, a kitchen-sink affair called “Flash Delerium” (which sounds an awful lot like the Velvet Underground’s “Who Loves the Sun”). There’s a whole lot to digest, which is why the band (supposedly) decided to have fans hear it as an entire piece, rather than through a string of singles. Though these days they maintain that whole ideal was taken out of context. “We didn’t say that we weren’t releasing singles. What we said was that this album didn’t really have immediately accessible, catchy dance songs, like the first album had … I don’t even know why I said that,” Van Wyngarden sighs. “But we kind of felt like it’s something that’s best first listened to as a whole, though, as it turns out, we did release a single. You know, ‘Flash Delerium.’ ” And though it was probably difficult to pry one song out of Congratulations’ craw, “Delerium” works as the first single, most notably because it serves notice that MGMT have been through the ringer, and — like it or not — they’ve come out as a different kind of band — which, of course, is exactly how the guys planned it. “It’s kind of the most, um, everywhere-at-once song on the album; it’s like chaos. It’s supposed to be about kind of going nuts and feeling completely overwhelmed, and everything’s falling apart,” Van Wyngarden laughed. “And it’s funny to watch people’s reactions to it, because it’s kind of a love-it-or-hate it thing … we just kind of kept piecing it together, just wanted to make something that felt like you were going mad. And there’s nothing really pleasant about that. “We went through periods of paranoia, where there’s all these people around you telling you things, then you never really know if you’re doing something bad,” he continued. “I think that’s why a lot of artists make really crappy albums, because everybody’s telling them it’s so good … so we don’t know if our new album is crap or not.” Related Artists MGMT Lady Gaga
