Texas middle school punishes boy for long hair

A middle school student is being forced to suffer in-school suspension for refusing to cut his hair. Kenneth Fails is a sixth grader at Itasca Middle School. He has hair well past his shoulders. Fails has not cut his hair in two years. His school first complained last April. When Fails refused to cut his hair at the school's request, he was forced to serve an in-school suspension for the rest of his fifth grade year.
