Kim Kardashian Basically Got Naked on This Red Carpet

Kim Kardashian has posed naked in numerous magazine spreads and once let Ray J film himself just giving it to her in bed. So you'd think it would be impossible to be surprised by any outfit this reality star could ever wear. After all, we've seen her in nothing … so how could we be taken aback by any some thing that covers up her private parts, right? But that was before we saw the outfit Kim wore to something called The Hollywood Beauty Awards on Sunday night, February 17. We know it's a bold statement, but we feel confident enough to make it, so here we go: This was the most revealing out Kim has EVER donned. Scroll down to see if you agree — and also to see what critics on social media are saying about the look. 1. Just How Revealing was the Dress? We’ll start by teasing it as follows: This isn’t it! This is a different risque dress that Kardashian wore to a different event, LOL. And this new one makes it look very tame by comparison. 2. Wow, This Really is Revealing! We know, right? But this still isn’t the outfit we’re talking about! 3. Kim Previewed Her Outfit Before She Went Public Kardashian attended this event with hairdressed Chris Appleton, and she spent a couple Tweets preparing followers for what they were about to see. 4. She Was Feeling It, Folks 5. Enough Build-Up. Here It Is. Kardashian wore a vintage 1998 Thierry Mugler cut-out gown with a thigh-high slit to the Beauty Awards. It’s basically all the Internet has been talking about since. 6. Some People Loved the Look Well, this one person did at least. View Slideshow

Lady Gaga’s Mugler Fashion Film ‘Director’s Cut’ Debuts

Highly stylized short film features the Mother Monster proclaiming ‘Don’t f— with me.’ By James Montgomery Lady Gaga (file) Photo: BuzzFoto Last week, Lady Gaga invaded Paris to unveil her latest collaboration with Thierry Mugler designer Nicola Formichetti, a fashion film that featured her sporting three heads (and diamond-encrusted teeth) and spouting lines like “My heart sometimes feels so black … and other days, my heart feels like rainbows.” Yeah, it was very Mugatu . But now, for those not lucky enough to catch the film’s premiere at Mugler’s Paris Fashion Week show, Gaga has premiered the “director’s cut,” which clocks in at just over three minutes (plus credits). In the film — directed by frequent partners Inez and Vinoodh, who have worked with Gaga on each of her “Yo

Lady Gaga’s ‘Judas’ Video Will Be ‘A Roller-Coaster Ride,’ Creative Director Says

‘I’m so excited for how riveting, energetic and electric the record is, something really phenomenal,’ Laurieann Gibson says. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage It’s an exciting time to be a Lady Gaga fan. This week, the pop star released her much-anticipated “Born This Way” video and walked the runway and previewed her track “Government Hooker” at a Thierry Mugler fashion show. And now there are a few more details about her next Born This Way single, “Judas,” and its video. “We’re already getting ready to go into rehearsal [for the video]. She’s like, ‘I’m all ready to start ‘Judas’!’ She’s ready,” Gaga’s creative director Laurieann Gibson told MTV News. “And ‘Judas’ is exciting for me because we had this amazing artistic approach to ‘BTW’ and I’m so excited for how riveting, energetic and electric the record is, something really phenomenal. So, visually, the dance, the costuming, the idea of how big we’re trying to go, [it’s] going to be a roller-coaster ride.” “There is [a director in mind],” Gibson continued, adding that nothing about the video will be ordinary. “What is a traditional music video? Even if we go with a traditional music video, the directors that we love are not traditional, so the idea that they get to collaborate with us means they too want to live outside of what people expect a traditional music video to be.” As for the sound of the song, Fernando Garibay , one of the musical directors on the album, opened up about the RedOne-produced dance tune. “It’s a statement about, again I can’t speak for her, but what I gather is it’s about sometimes not choosing the right choice,” he explained. “But you can’t deny that the choice is not a part of you and who you are. ” ‘Judas’ is a dance song, definitely,” he continued. “I think ‘Judas’ is in the traditional RedOne/Gaga vein. It’s great because it’s a serious message, it’s a little playful, but still serious, but still somehow you wind up dancing to it. That’s what’s great about her music. You know, like, my favorite song of all time, dance song, ‘Billie Jean,’ is a story you wouldn’t think of singing, but then you wind up dancing and singing the lyrics. I think that’s the Holy Grail of music for me, which is dance.” Gaga shared lyrics from “Judas” last month, and Gaga’s pal and stylist Nicola Formichetti reposted those lyrics on Twitter late Thursday. “I’m just a Holy Fool, oh baby he’s so cruel, but I’m still in love with Judas, Baby,” he wrote, adding, “JUDAS FASHION. so excited i can’t sleep!” Related Videos MTV News Extended Play: Lady Gaga Creative Director Laurieann Gibson Related Photos The Evolution Of: Lady Gaga Related Artists Lady Gaga

Billy Brasfield takes to his Twitter account to heap praise on Gaga’s upcoming clip. By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: David Wolff-Patrick/ Getty Images We may not know what it looks like, but we know it’s coming soon, and, from the sound of things, it’s going to be quite the experience. We’re talking, of course, about Lady Gaga’s hotly anticipated “Born This Way” video , which she apparently shot this past weekend, and, according to her makeup artist Billy Brasfield, it’s the kind of thing that defies explanation. And adjectives. (Though that didn’t stop him from heaping ’em on.) In fact, the “BTW” video is apparently so awe-inducing that it brought Brasfield to tears. “Have you ever been a part of something that was so profound, so inspiring, so incredibly beautiful, that as it was happening, it brought tears to your eyes and you had been given a gift, and you were thankful?” he tweeted on Monday. “It happened to me [and] I am thankful. 1/22, 1/23, 1/24- 2011 LADY GAGA–#BORNTHISWAY.” Brasfield then followed that message up with another tweet Tuesday morning (January 25), in which he continued to pile praise on the “Born This Way” clip. “After days of sensory overload, of amazing song, ridiculously beautiful imagery, fashion, beautiful People, great friends, and a life changing experience, I am awake again after 24 hours of sleep,” he wrote. “Hello New York City and snow.” Of course, Brasfield isn’t the only member of Gaga’s team hyping the “Born This Way” video these days. On Monday, LG’s fashion director (and Thierry Mugler creative director) Nicola Formichetti took to his Twitter account to praise the shoot, writing, “Ok kids, get ready for [‘Born This Way’]. We’ve just created the most amazing thing ever.” Related Artists Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga Premieres Born This Way Short Film

Film, starring ‘Zombie Boy,’ features remixed song and footage from Thierry Mugler fashion show. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga (file) Photo: Kevork Djansezian/ Getty Images The world may at last have a first glimpse of what Gaga has up her sleeve for Born This Way, thanks to a short film made for designer Thierry Mugler. The film, directed by fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco, is set to the remixed song that Gaga debuted at the Mugler menswear show in Paris on Wednesday. The black-and-white video, which premiered on Stylist.com and Mugler.com on Thursday (January 20), features Canadian model Rick Genest, also known as Zombie Boy, whose body and face are tattooed to look like a skeleton. It opens with voiceover of Gaga saying, “I don’t speak German, but I can if you like,” as the camera focuses on Zombie Boy, rocking a studded helmet. Footage of Zombie Boy is edited together with models walking the catwalk in Mugler designs. Zombie Boy mugs for the camera wearing a leather jacket and pearls while Gaga sings in German, “I’m absolutely clear/ As long as I’m a monster/ I wish we all could be blind/ It would be easier out there.” She repeats the phrase and the beat plays low under her anthem. There is very little pop in the dark, subversive club jam, reminiscent of a ’90s club track. The vibe of the video is an extension of her equally fashionable clip for “Alejandro,” which was styled by Nicola Formichetti, who happens to be the creative director of Thierry Mugler. Zombie Boy is later seen walking in a city, wearing street clothes, as Gaga sings in English, “I’ll take you out tonight/ Say whatever you like,” accompanied by a pulsing beat. The video closes with a model walking down the runway as the song fades out. Gaga remixed the song herself for the show. “I love him, my friend the genius, my collaborator, more more than any piece of clothing or closet I possess,” she said of Formichetti in a statement about the show. “But don’t tell him I said that, he’ll die. He picked them all out.” Related Artists Lady Gaga

‘American Idol’ Must Find A Michael Jackson Or Madonna, Randy Jackson Says

‘I hope that we find that quintessential star,’ judge tells MTV News. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Jim Cantiello “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson Photo: Tony Duran / FOX Even the most die-hard of “American Idol” cheerleaders would surely have to admit that the hit reality show experienced a downturn last season. Above and beyond the steady drop-off in viewership, the competition suffered from a lack of compelling talent. Season 10, which debuts Wednesday night (January 19), is seeking to remedy that deficiency, introducing multiple rule and format changes. Expectations are high among fans and “Idol” insiders. But perhaps the person with the highest expectations of all is Randy Jackson. The veteran judge is looking to find a once-in-a-generation artist who will fundamentally alter the pop-culture landscape. “I hope that ‘Idol’ finds a killer vocalist that helps to change music completely,” Jackson told MTV News in a recent interview. “Michael Jackson and Prince just slaughtered the business. Elvis slaughtered the business. I can’t remember a time when someone was that important in the history of the game of music.” OK, so expectations are not merely high, but possibly out of this world. Randy went on to mention a few other acts — Madonna, Coldplay, U2, Jay-Z, Biggie and Tupac — who also have had a transformative effect on artistry and culture. Even the biggest winners in “Idol” history, like Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, cannot lay claim to such comprehensive influence. Yet it seems that it’s a Madonna or an MJ that Randy is hoping to find, rather than a Clarkson or an Underwood. “No one has come in and changed the game, meaning that as soon as they showed up … everyone was dressing, acting and wanted to be them, full stop,” he explained. “I hope that we find that quintessential star.” Ultimately, though, whatever a singer’s vocal talent level truly is, success comes down to the quality of an artist’s material. “You can be the best singer in the world, and if you don’t have that great song, guess what? They’re not going to buy it,” Jackson explained. “It’s like having bad salt at the table. If it’s not good, people just won’t use it.” Don’t miss our “American Idol” live stream “Judging the Judges: An ‘Idol’ Without Simon,” featuring post-show analysis from Jim Cantiello and special guests, on MTV.com tonight at 10 p.m. ET. Lady Gaga Previews Born This Way Track

Remix of the song closes Thierry Mugler fashion week show in Paris. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga (file) Photo: Ethan Miller/ Getty Images As promised , Lady Gaga previewed a new song during the Thierry Mugler Paris Men’s Fashion Week show. Gaga remixed a Born This Way track especially for the show, for which she acted as musical director. Possible Haus of Gaga member Jay tweeted a link to a YouTube video of the song playing during the models’ final walk. “Watch this and f—ing dance,” Jay tweeted. Reflecting the collection, the song is pulsating and dark. Although the audio is muffled, over a throbbing beat, Gaga’s voice is heard repeating a phrase in German, which YouTube users translated as: “I’m absolutely clear/ As long as I’m a monster/ I wish we all could be blind/ It would be easier out there.” Gaga was reportedly not at the show. A short film featuring the remixed track, shot by Mariano Vivanco, will appear on Mugler.com and AOL at noon on Thursday. Prior to the show’s kickoff, Gaga expressed her excitement about the collaboration. She wrote , “MUGLER PARIS SHOW begins in 2 hours. I am so excited my fashion bones are rattling. The garments + music are poetic intoxication.” Mugler is helmed by Gaga’s stylist, Nicola Formichetti. In an interview prior to the show, Formichetti described how the song fits with his collection for the legendary fashion house. “It’s very, very hard, but pop at the same time. It’s really amazing,” he said about the track. “When I heard it, I said, ‘That’s Mugler.’ She’s remixing it especially for the show.” Of working with his longtime pal Gaga, he added, “It’s me and her just having fun and getting very inspired from the idea of Mugler. She’s very much involved, more in the early stages. “I want people to think, ‘OK, there’s something new happening.’ I want people to get excited again, not only fashion people,” he added about his work on the brand. “I’m not here to recreate what [Mugler] did. It was perfect for the time. I’m going to do something for today and the future.” This isn’t the first time Gaga presented new music at a fashion show. She premiered “Bad Romance” in 2009 at the Alexander McQueen show. Do you like what you’ve heard of Gaga’s new track? Sound off in the comments! Related Artists Lady Gaga
