Michael Moore: Clint Eastwood Threatened to Kill Me!

As you may have heard, Michael Moore’s criticism of American Sniper has pissed off plenty of very vocal patriots. Even esteemed cultural critic and noted devil without a cause Kid Rock offered his two cents, suggesting that Moore had been molested by his uncle, for some reason. Never one to back down from a controversy (Controversy is kinda his thing.), Moore addressed the film and its director again today on his Facebook page, and spoke for the first time about an incident that may have influenced his opinion on Sniper: “Ten years ago this past week,” Moore writes. “Clint Eastwood stood in front of the National Board of Review awards dinner and announced to me and to the crowd that he would ‘kill’ me if I ever came to his house with my camera for an interview.” “‘I’ll kill you,’ he declared. The crowd laughed nervously…’I mean it,’ he barked, and the audience grew more quiet. ‘I’ll shoot you.'” We don’t know about you, but we may have wet ourselves a bit just reading that description. From the sound of things, Clint stopped just short of asking Moore if he feels lucky, punk. Based on the video of Eastwood yelling at invisible Obama at the 2012 RNC, we knew there was a possibility getting a bit flighty in his old age, but we didn’t realize the line between his movies and his real life had disappeared entirely.  Hopefully, Moore knows to avoid any run-ins with Clint. We’d hate to see him unwittingly cast as a slow-on-the-draw villain in The Good, the Bad, and the Overweight Documentarian. * ooo-wee-ooo-wee-ooooo * Celebrities Who Have Deleted Political Messages 1. Britney Spears and Charlie Ebersol: Getting Engaged on Christmas?!

It’s only been six weeks since we learned that Britney Spears is dating Charlie Ebersol , but sources sat the couple is already making  serious plans for the future. Naturally, Brit and Chuck will be spending the holidays together and some suspect that Brit’s favorite gift will come in a very small package: “I would not be shocked if they did get engaged,” an insider tells Radar Online. “Britney’s parents love this guy for her, because, for once, she’s dating someone who has plenty of money of his own.” We guess that’s a good reason. The important thing is that Britney’s family approves of Charlie . The son of former NBC exec Dick Ebersol, Charlie has reportedly won over Brit’s father, sister, and sons. (We’re sure his famous last name and old-money generosity didn’t hurt.) However, the couple may still have a hurdle to clear in the form of Charlie’s mom, who reportedly does not approve of Britney . But, from the sound of things, that won’t be enough to stop Charlie, who may be planning to pop the question as early as tomorrow: “Britney and Charlie are having a holiday party this weekend and she is super excited because it is their first Christmas together,” says the insider. Sounds like the ideal place to put a ring on it! 51 Hottest Britney Spears Photos of ALL TIME 1. Drake Says He’ll ‘Thrive’ On Next Album

Drizzy says that while a lot of Take Care was down, he will switch up the tempo for his next album. By Rob Markman Drake Photo: John Shearer/ Getty Images Since he dropped his breakout tape So Far Gone in 2009, Drake has been consistently going through changes. With each music project, he documents his ever-evolving life, so fans shouldn’t expect that to change when he finally releases his third LP. Drizzy didn’t want to give too much away, but from the sound of things, it’ll be much different from his sophomore effort Take Care . “I think that my mood will be reflected in the tempos that I choose for the music,” Drake said of his next LP during a press conference call Tuesday. “A lot of Take Care, it’s down, a lot of it’s down and I think a lot of that had to do with being back home in Toronto and getting reacquainted with the life I had before and the difficulties of that, but at the same time trying to express excitement and trying to express joy.” Though he still keeps a place in his native Toronto, Drake has recently moved to L.A. The relocation has already sparked musical ideas for the Young Money star. “There’s just so much going on for me in the U.S. that I recently made the move to L.A.,” he said. “It’s a new atmosphere, getting to know new people. It’s going to be a very interesting album.” Drake told MTV News that with Take Care, he was telling a story inspired by his 2009 track “Houstatlantavegas.” On the song, Drake created a fictional world, describing a love affair with an ambitious stripper who can’t quite get out of the life. “It was a world that was very much real to me, but I created it in my mind. It was a world that, being a kid from Toronto, I used to look at from the outside and I used to be like, ‘Man that looks crazy,’ ” he told us. “All those strip clubs and all those nightclubs and the drinks and the girls and the fame.” Things have evolved in the months since he released Take Care. “Now I’m kind of in a very, very, very, very different place than I’ve ever been,” Drake said. “I think it will be conceptually one of the best projects that I’ve ever worked on because there’s so many new things going on in my life. Everybody knows when it’s new, that’s when I thrive.” What is your favorite Drake mixtape or album? Tell us in the comments! Related Photos Drake’s Style: From A To Drizzy Related Artists Drake

Tyga And Drake’s ‘Still Got It’ Video Will Be ‘Fly’

‘I want to shoot it in Harlem, because that’s just the young, fly place to be,’ Tyga tells MTV News. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Nadeska Alexis Tyga Photo: MTV News Tyga is still putting the finishing touches on his Young Money debut, Careless World, but now, he’s less focused on finalizing the track list than getting his timing right. Because, from the sound of things, there’s no shortage of material for him to choose from. “I have productions from Cool & Dre, Pharrell; I actually produced a lot with my in-house producer, Jess Jackson,” Tyga told MTV News backstage at Philadelphia’s Powerhouse 2011 on Friday. “As an artist, you just know what you want to hear; it’s just better to make your own sound rather than try to find a sound and add a story to it.” And despite all that, Tyga knows what’s up next: shooting a video for “Still Got It,” his collaboration with Drake that appeared earlier this month. But as is the case with most things these days, he’s already thinking about his next move too. It’s sort of an embarrassment of riches, actually. “We’re about to shoot that [‘Still Got It’] video next week with Drake, and I’ve got another single I’m going to drop after that, with Nicki [Minaj],” he laughed. “I have a lot of good singles right now, it’s just about timing.” So while he’s very much looking toward the future, we had to ask Tyga about the present too — namely, that video with Drake. So what can fans expect from the clip? Well, he wasn’t about to reveal all the secrets, but Tyga did say it will reflect his Young Money status by being “young and fly.” “I want to shoot it in New York … in Harlem, because that’s just the young, fly place to be in New York,” he said. “I don’t want to give [the plot] away, but you know, it’s going to be young and fly, you feel me?” What are you expecting from Tyga and Drake’s video? Taylor Swift Has 25 Songs For Speak Now Follow-Up

‘It’s looking really great,’ she tells The Hollywood Reporter of 2012 album. By James Montgomery Taylor Swift Photo: Big Machine Records Taylor Swift ‘s Speak Now was released just one year ago, but, from the sound of things, work on the follow-up is already well under way. Last week, Swift told MTV News that she’s “been writing so much for the new record,” adding that she’s “already excited about it,” even though the album won’t see the light of day until 2012. And, in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she revealed even more about the new disc and the songs she’s already penned. “I’ve written 25 songs so far, so it’s coming along really well,” Swift said in the interview. “I’ve been writing a lot, and I like to take two years to make a record. We’re at the end of year one, and I still have a year left to go write. “It’s looking really great,” she added. Whenever the new album is released, it’ll have some lofty company to keep: Swift’s Speak Now opened at #1 on the Billboard albums chart, breaking the 1 million mark in first-week sales. And her previous effort, 2008’s Fearless, also bowed at #1 and has sold more than 8 million copies worldwide. Of course, writing songs isn’t the only project on Swift’s plate at the moment. She just launched her first-ever fragrance, Wonderstruck , which, as she explained to us, she hopes will “help play a role in creating some … memories.” She also continues to chug along on her Speak Now Tour , which crisscrosses the continent before coming to a close at the end of November with a pair of sold-out shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Naomi Watts More magazine cover 2011

“I was wearing Calvin Klein, a very flirty, feminine dress,” the actress says in the October issue of More. Sparks flew – and since both were single, they exchanged numbers. From the sound of it, Liev Schreiber never had a chance. His longtime love, Naomi Watts, says that when she first met him at the Metropolitan Museum of Art#39;s annual costume ball a few years ago, the attraction was clear. “We spoke on the phone for several weeks and emailed,” says Watts, who had to return to Los Angele

Blink-182’s ‘Heart’s All Gone’: Back To Basics

Second song from band’s upcoming Neighborhoods album is equally indebted to both classic Blink and iconic West Coast punk. By James Montgomery Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus Photo: Jason Kempin/ Getty Images It’s easy to compare Blink-182 ‘s brand-new “Heart’s All Gone” with ” Up All Night ,” the first song they released off their upcoming Neighborhoods album, mostly because the similarities begin and end right there. They are both songs by the band, and they are both on the new record. Perhaps, then, it’s best to contrast the two songs, because they’re different in just about every conceivable way. “Up All Night” premiered with much fanfare — on the band’s site and L.A. radio station KROQ — and was greeted with much the same. “Heart’s All Gone,” on the other hand, bowed without much notice: just a quick link on Mark Hoppus’ Google Plus page that took you to a new website and a simple instruction to “Command the ‘A’ ” (or, if you’re on a PC, “CTRL + A”). Doing so on the new site, of course, revealed not only lyrics but the song itself. And that’s when the differences between the two tracks really become apparent. Because while “Up All Night” synthesized all of the band’s previous endeavors (Plus-44, Angels & Airwaves, Box Car Racer) into something entirely new, “Heart’s All Gone” does the complete opposite: It is very much a blast from the past — both Blink’s and the West Coast punk scene that birthed them. With its breakneck guitars, yelped vocals and cascading drums, it sounds like something taken from Blink’s 1997 Dude Ranch album (or ’01’s Take Off Your Pants and Jacket ), but at the same time, it also recalls classic West Coast churn and burn,

Miranda Cosgrove Calls Best Coast Video Cameo ‘Surreal’

‘She’s really like your best friend,’ the ‘iCarly’ star tells MTV News about ‘Our Deal’ director Drew Barrymore. By Christina Garibaldi Miranda Cosgrove in Best Coast’s Supervideo for “Our Deal” Photo: Mexican Summer On Tuesday (August 2), California punk/pop rockers Best Coast premiered the video for “Our Deal,” a single off their debut album, Crazy for You. The Drew Barrymore-directed vid features a ton of up-and-coming-celeb cameos, from Donald Glover to Miranda Cosgrove. MTV News recently caught up with “iCarly” herself , and she told us the highlight of that very fun shoot was getting to work with Barrymore. “I had a great time,” Cosgrove said. “I’ve been watching Drew Barrymore movies ever since I was really little, so I was nervous to meet her.” Once on set, though, Cosgrove got over any nervousness about working with one of her biggest role models. “She’s really like your best friend,” Cosgrove said. The video, which was shot back in June, takes pages from classic forbidden-love movies like “West Side Story,” “Grease” and “Rebel Without a Cause.” Cosgrove’s co-stars, “Kick Ass” actress Chlo

Lady Gaga Calls Terry Richardson Book ‘Completely Unfiltered’

‘I didn’t hold anything back,’ Gaga tells MTV News about upcoming photo book. By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: MTV News Late last month, Lady Gaga announced she was teaming with photographer/provocateur Terry Richardson to release a hefty coffee-table book, one that features more than 350 photos of the singer taken by Richardson over the course of 10 months. The two have worked together — with appropriately pulse-quickening results — several times in the past, most notably a September 2010 cover shoot for Vogue Hommes Japan that served as a sneak peek of the now-infamous meat dress she wore to the 2010 VMAs, and a clothing-optional campaign for Supreme in February 2011. But if you thought those shots were shocking, well, get ready for the duo’s book, which, as Gaga told MTV News on Monday night in New York, will push things even further. “Terry was with me for [almost] a whole year, and, gosh, I didn’t hold anything back from Terry … he was with me every minute, every moment,” she said. “It’s completely unfiltered. He has photographs of me waking up in the morning, brushing my teeth, in the bathroom, in the bathtub, the shower. And the thing about Terry, if you know anything about his photography, is that nothing is staged; I mean, that’s sort of what he is renowned for. He can get you to do things and he can capture things that no one can ever capture. “What I love so much about Terry is that he thinks everything is so beautiful. I’m always, ‘Oh Terry, get out of here,’ and he’s like, ‘Oh, it’s so beautiful, let me just shoot it,’ ” she continued. “I felt so comfortable with Terry. I love him so much. He’s a really close friend, and I feel really honored that he traveled [with me].” Gaga said the self-titled book (which hits stores November 22) not only showcases her whirlwind life — it follows her from the main stage of Lollapalooza to her Maine rally to repeal “don’t ask, don’t tell” to the final shows of her Monster Ball Tour in Mexico City — but the lives of her ultra-dedicated fans too. That was as much a goal as the unfettered access was. And, from the sound of things, the book manages to accomplish both. “My favorite thing, honestly, is that [Richardson] loved the fans. He shot the fans the same way he shot me: with no pretense. No ‘Well, she’s put out records and they haven’t.’ None of that. The music was all of ours,” she said. “He would come backstage and he would say, ‘Oh my God, the fans! ‘ And I’d say, ‘I know … I know what you just photographed.’ And he’d say, ‘Baby, wow! ‘ And then he’d film me, like, peeing in a cup and, like, ridiculous things.” Related Photos A Day In The Life Of Lady Gaga Related Artists Lady Gaga
