Prince Harry has not yet popped the question to Meghan Markle. But while the world waits to see if Harry will propose marriage to Markle , a new report claims the royal hunk has a different sort of proposal in mind at the moment. He has an idea on how to keep Markle safe. According to The Evening Standard’s Robert Jobson, Harry is concerned about Markle’s safety. Not long after word spread that the prince and the Suits actress were a romantic item, Markle received a number of death threats online. Basically because the Internet is an evil place. In response, she has reportedly taken a hiatus from filming her USA Network series in Toronto and is actually staying in Kensington Palace . “His Royal Highness has made it clear that he believes Miss Markle’s personal safety is paramount,” an insider told Jobson. As a result, Harry is considering paying for around-the-clock security for his lovely girlfriend, possibly even using a retired member of Scotland Yard’s royal protection squad for the gig. “It comes down to a matter of cost, who is paying for what,” adds this The Evening Standard source. If need be, of course, Harry will foot the bill himself. Back in the day, Prince Charles allegedly struck a similar deal with one of his former bodyguard’s to protect the Duchess of Cornwall when she was still Camilla Parker Bowles. How oes Markle feel about the idea of a personal bodyguard? This same report claims she deems it “charming, but unnecessary.” The relationship between Harry and Markle is very serious. One close friend of the actress’ says she is “head over heels” for Harry and would even be willing to quit her job in order to make the romance work. We doubt Harry would ever ask her to do that, but it’s conceivable that the onslaught of attention she receives as Harry’s girlfriend makes it almost impossible for Suits to film in peace. His girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment,” the open letter stated. It continued: “Some of this has been very public – the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments. “Some of it has been hidden from the public – the nightly legal battles to keep defamatory stories out of papers; her mother having to struggle past photographers in order to get to her front door; the attempts of reporters and photographers to gain illegal entry to her home and the calls to police that followed… “The substantial bribes offered by papers to her ex-boyfriend; the bombardment of nearly every friend, co-worker, and loved one in her life.” The letter went on to say that Prince Harry often fears for Meghan’s safety, as we mentioned above, and he “is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her.” But he may be trying to do something about that now, bodyguard style. And to those who somehow think Markle should simply accept harassment as the price she must pay to date a Royal stud? Harry dismisses such a notion. “This is not a game – it is her life and his,” his terrific statement reads. View Slideshow: 16 Times Prince Harry Made Us Royally Swoon
