Did you guys know that Hollywood Tuna’s Babe Of 2012 , Victoria Justice was on tour promoting her music which is sadly catered to tweens and not horny men like me? I have to admit that Victoria has disappointed me this year, because she has all the tools to steal Miley Cyrus ‘ thunder, but she doesn’t use any of them. Sure, those tight spandex look hot, but it’s time Vicky grows up and sings songs about shaking her ass and grinding her hips. Anyway, I provided some fan footage from her show. There might be a few moments where she utilizes her sexuality, but not enough for me to drop my drawers.

Kim Kardashian has always tried to stay healthy, but now that she’s eating for both herself and expecting a girl (supposedly), it’s doubly important, says she. With the Kim Kardashian baby bump showing more each day, the importance of taking care of herself and her baby grows, she writes on her blog. “Keeping a healthy lifestyle has always been important to me,” she says. “And now [maintaining a well-balanced eating and fitness plan] is even more important since I’m looking out for someone else’s well being other than just my own.” KK says she’s been researching a lot of foods beforehand to make sure she gets the proper amount of nutrition “now that I’m eating for two” and she adds : “My friend Harley Pasternak sent me this book [ The Body Diet Reset ] … [It] will give you the tools you need to restart the way you are eating and boost your metabolism.” “I just love his recipes and I know you guys will too!” P.S. Like everything else, I was paid to say that.
Controversy has broken out around the Baltimore Ravens, and not because Ray Lewis was once accused of murder or may have used deer antler spray to recover from a torn triceps. Courtney Lenz, a 23-year old Maryland native, has been a member of the team’s cheerleading squad for five years. But she has been barred from the Super Bowl sidelines because she announced her retirement at the end of the regular season. And with an online petition out there to reinstate her for the big game, Lenz has spoken to ABC News and explained how crushed she is by the development. “I’m just devastated by the whole situation,” she says. “This was very unexpected… I didn’t even think there would be a chance of me not going with being a five-year veteran.” Lenz believes the Ravens are simply punishing her for quitting the team, which she was forced to do once her marketing job schedule made it impossible to do both. “They’ve been really hard on me this year since I told them I was leaving,” Lenz said, adding that she “thought it was a mistake” when her name was not included among the 32 cheerleaders announced for the game. But Ravens spokeswoman Heather Harness simply says in a statement: “As set by the NFL, we are permitted to bring 32 cheerleaders to the Super Bowl. Our selection process was based upon three criteria: seniority, performance ability and personal conduct throughout the season. As much as we would like to take the whole team, we are unable to do so, due to parameters set by the NFL.” Do you think Lenz should have been among the final cut? Even though she did drop out a few weeks ago?
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has made countless headlines for his play this NFL season, but his tattoos get plenty of “ink” as well. What’s the meaning behind the football star’s (many) tats? “The first one I got was Psalm 18:39, a scroll on my right shoulder. The verse is, ‘You arm me with strength for battle. You make my adversaries bow at my feet.'” The 25-year-old added, “Basically, it’s saying the Lord is giving me all the tools to be successful, I just have to go out and do my part to uphold that.” Kaepernick, who starred at the University of Nevada, began this season as a backup to Alex Smith, making his rise to stardom all the more captivating. The heavily-tattooed star has become a breakout hit – both personally and professionally – for his play, his swagger and yes, even his Kaepernicking . As for what ink he’ll get if the 49ers take home the Super Bowl trophy by defeating Ray Lewis and the Ravens this Sunday? “I have some in the works,” he teased. Kaepernick’s tattoo artist Nes Andrion, whose business has BOOMED since Kaepernick came off the bench to lead the 49ers offense, says he’s not done yet . “Last time we talked, when I did his entire back, we talked about maybe doing his chest,” Andrion said. As for the Kaepernick’s favorite tattoo? “He never said,” Andrion said. “I’m sure everything he put on his body has a lot of meaning to it. I think the one on his biceps [My Gift Is My Curse] is the one that represents his talent.” Who will win Super Bowl XLVIII? The 49ers The Ravens View Poll »
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of the popular TLC series 19 Kids and Counting are forming a coalition of pro-life groups to help fight against abortion. The idea stems from their recent trip to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC; to the Duggars, abortion is itself a holocaust. “A couple of weeks after we went to the Holocaust Museum it dawned on us that there is a holocaust taking place right here in America!” the Duggars wrote. “More than 56 million lives have been destroyed in our country! That is over 4,000 babies being killed and 4,000 women being wounded each day!” “We talked and prayed about what our family could do to make a difference in saving the lives of the unborn. We ended up contacting the national pro-life groups.” “We asked them to all work together and pool their incredible resources to motivate and activate many people to get involved in ending abortion in America.” The Duggars called Dan Pennell, CEO of WMtek, a Fort Pierce, Fla., based web development company, who immediately caught the vision, Jim Bob said. Working with Jim Bob and Mathew Staver of Liberty Counsel, Dan formed the coalition of pro-life groups that has become what is now Life United. Its partners: The Duggar family; LIFE International; L.E.A.R.N; Living Waters; Liberty Counsel; National Center for Life and Liberty; Family Research Council; The Justice Foundation. “Life United exists not only to educate people with the reality of abortion in our generation, but to do something about it,” the group said in a statement. “Our partners have come together with their resources to create the tools that will help motivate and enable others to value and support human life.” “Americans are being forced to fund a Hitler-kind of killing machine,” the group says, calling the last four decades “the 40 most bloody years in America.” “We are committed to end abortion in our lifetime. Abortion is the most senseless, inhumane form of child abuse one can imagine. It is time to restore a culture of life.” In less controversial news, check out the Duggar Family tater tot casserole recipe . Whatever you think of their politics, everyone can agree that’s awesome.
The Spring Breakers trailer has FINALLY arrived, and it’s even more packed with girls and guns and bikinis and James Franco ‘s grimy braided hot mess than I’d ever dreamed. Also, the words “Spring Break” are spoken so many times in these two minutes of mayhem (I count 11 feverish utterances) that it’s seeping into my subconscious. Watch and whet your whistle for the March 22 opener after the jump and start working on your Franco-as-Alien Halloween costumes now. Franco may be the bizarro Riff Raff-ian centerpiece of Harmony Korine ‘s pic (shout out to Gucci Mane in the trailer!) but our restless antiheroines are played by Selena Gomez , Vanessa Hudgens , Ashley Benson , and Rachel Korine, who attempt to finance the best Spring Break ever by robbing a fast-food joint before Franco comes into the picture and makes their Vice Magazine -esque fantasies come true. The Academy Award nominations brought good news and bad news to one of my favorite movies of the year. Les Misérables eight nominations including Best Picture, Actor, for Hugh Jackman , and Supporting Actress, for Anne Hathaway . That ain’t chopped liver, but the highly publicized snubbing of its director Tom Hooper along with its absence in all-important bellwether categories like screenplay and editing means what was once considered a front runner is now a real long shot to actually win Oscar’s top prize. You have to go all the way back to 1931’s Grand Hotel to find a Best Picture winner that didn’t have at least one of those three nominations. In the face of those daunting stats, Les Misérables would be a shocking Best Picture winner, but if any movie deserves the upset , it’s this one. A certified box office hit domestically, it just opened to huge numbers over the weekend in England and looks to be a continuing international smash. “Do You Hear The People Sing? is not only the stirring anthem from Hooper’s adaptation, it’s an apt metaphor for the impact of a revolutionary film about revolutionary spirit. Hooper took great risks in the telling of Les Misérables — and he succeeds. Twenty-seven years in development, the film looked like it might never be made when The King’s Speech director came up with the novel idea of shooting the cast’s musical performances live instead of taking the usual movie-musical tack of pre-recording the songs and dubbing them in later. Without that artificial technique hampering the actors, Hooper and the creative team from the original musical — Alain Boublil, Claude-Michel Schoenberg and Herbert Kretzmer — along with the adaptation’s screenwriter, William Nicholson, found a way to meld the dramatic impact of Victor Hugo’s classic, gritty novel with the theatricality of the beloved stage production for a movie musical experience that hasn’t been seen on the big screen in years. Emotion is at the core of this remarkably entertaining and powerful film. Jackman , with his considerable musical chops, was the obvious choice to play petty-criminal-made-good Jean Valjean, and he delivers even in the difficult two-and-a-half-octave range the role requires. Although Russell Crowe can’t match his co-star in the singing department, he still scores as a potent Javert. Hathaway breaks hearts as the doomed Fantine, as does Samantha Barks in the role of Eponine. And though Amanda Seyfried’s portrayal of Cosette is not so dramatically challenging, she still manages to shine in the role. That said, it’s Eddie Redmayne , as Marius, who threatens to steal the whole show with an impassioned performance that heralds the arrival of a major new movie star. Hooper’s aesthetic choice to shoot the emotional moments in unrelenting close up is a good one, and this is a musical that even those who hate musicals should find satisfying in its dramatic pull and remarkable ability to move us. Following a private battle with acute myeloid leukemia, Nora Ephron passed away at the age of 71 yesterday. Having been responsible for some of the most beloved romantic comedies of all time ( Sleepless in Seattle , When Harry Met Sally ), Ephron was known and admired by a number of Hollywood’s most respected stars, many of whom have released statements in regard to the sad news. Billy Crystal : “I am very sad to learn of Nora’s passing. She was a brilliant writer and humorist. Being her Harry to Meg’s Sally will always have a special place in my heart. I was very lucky to get to say her words.” Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson : “Nora Ephron was a journalist/artist who knew what was important to know; how things really worked, what was worthwhile, who was fascinating and why… At a dinner table and on a film set she lifted us all with wisdom and wit mixed with love for us and love for life. Rita and I are so very sad to lose our friend who brought so much joy to all who were lucky enough to know her.” Nicole Kidman : “She was so smart, warm and funny. I am so grateful that she was my friend and we had the opportunity to work together. My thoughts and love are with her family at this time. I will never forget the dinners, games and laughter we all share.”
