Thanks to previously unreleased footage, onlookers now have a glimpse of what Bland saw that day after a recording of her arrest she made went public. WFAA exclusively reports : The new video — released as part of a WFAA exclusive in partnership with the Investigative Network — fuels the Bland family’s suspicions that Texas officials withheld evidence in her controversial arrest and, later, her death. Until now, the trooper’s dashcam footage was believed to be the only full recording of the July 2015 traffic stop, which ended in Bland’s arrest. The trooper claimed he feared for his safety during the stop. The 39-second cellphone video shot by Bland remained in the hands of investigators until the Investigative Network obtained the video once the criminal investigation closed. The family is demanding a criminal investigation be reopened as a result of this new footage as they too are just seeing it themselves. Bland’s sister was reported by WFAA as accusing the Waller County authorities of pulling wool over the public’s eyes. “We also know they have an extremely, extremely good cover-up system,” Shante Needham said. Meet the Internet Hero Who Dined with a Homeless Woman

All members of law enforcement deserve our admiration and respect. But Massachusetts State Trooper Luke Bonin even more than most, we feel comfortable saying. According to a Massachusetts State Police Facebook post, Bonin spotted a homeless woman named Lynn Murphy on the side of the road this month. Bonin had just left court, learned that Murphy is a mother of four and proceeded to purchase food for the new friends to enjoy together. He had no idea anyone was even around to snap a photo of the compassionate act. “Trooper Bonin, we know you do not want or expect publicity. We know you didn’t want to be noticed, but you were, and the job is proud of you,” the state police’s Facebook message reads. “We commend you for your selfless act, and for “doing the right thing” for someone less fortunate than most people.” As documented below by CBS Boston, Murphy says she thought Bonin was going to get her in trouble for panhandling when he first approached. To her very pleasant surprise, however, he presented her with a meal instead. And that’s not all the police officer did. “I thought he was just going to hand me the meal but when he said, ‘Come around the back, it’s such a beautiful day, we’ll have a picnic,’ the mother told the outlet. “It touched my heart.” And this story continues to tour our heart. David Procopio, a State Police spokesperson, told The Herald News that this incident speaks perfectly to what Bonin is all about. “It really reveals his character,” Procopio says. Getting a good deal is not more important than taking care of your kid . Man Arrested For Leaving Baby In Car To Go Shopping This father needs his azz whooped. According to News 4 Jax: A 34-year-old man has been arrested after troopers say his two-month-old boy was left alone inside a car in the parking lot. The Florida Highway Patrol said a trooper that was working an off-duty detail at the Best Buy in Waterford Lakes was notified at 5:30 p.m. Thursday about the small infant left alone in a locked car. The trooper approached the vehicle and saw that the infant was asleep in a car seat in the back seat of the locked car. Shortly after, troopers said 34-year-old Haider Hassan Khudhair Darwash returned to the vehicle and identified himself as the father. When the trooper asked why the infant was left alone in the car, Darwash said that he thought his wife had the child. Troopers said the wife was standing in line at a business in the Waterford Lakes Town Center. FHP said Darwash was arrested for felony child neglect. The Department of Children and Families was called and responded to the incident. Troopers said the child was unharmed and was not taken to the hospital. Darwash was booked into the Orange County Jail. SMH.

74 Year Old Arrested with Felony Assault of the Day

The story goes like this, this 74 year old women was asked to leave, she didn’t get up as fast as the cop wanted to her, so they arrested her, because like 74 year old women, she was a total threat to these Texas cops…I mean she could bake him cookies that make him fatter and knit him a sweater all his friends laugh at…I mean she’s 74 fucking years old asshole. Here’s the cop’s statement: She attempted to resist by grabbing the chair, not standing, and pulling back from me. We broke her hold of the chair and got her up and as I escorted her up the gallery steps Trooper Hall released her. I was escorting her by the arm up the steps by myself and she continued to try and pull away from me. At the top of the stairs, she spun and slapped my face with her open hand and told me to let her go. The intentional slap to the face by Northington was offensive and I was currently wearing a State Trooper uniform…At this point i spun her around and proceeded to handcuff her for the assault. While trying to handcuff her she continued to resist by pulling her arms and attempted to twist away from me…Ms. Northington was transported to Travis County SO without further incident.. Ridiculous….

Busted: Shady Police Officer Fired For Writing Fake DUI Tickets To Meet Quota

Police Officer Fired For Writing Fake DUI Tickets To Meet Quota A Utah state trooper who was recently honored for the number of slizzard citizens she got off the road has now been sent packing after an investigation revealed that most of her “convictions” turned out to be fake. via AOL News State troopers put their lives on the line every day. And the act of pulling someone over on a highway can be a deadly experience for any cop not following the best protocols. But police are also under great pressure to generate ticket revenue for their cities, counties and states, and their zeal to hit revenue targets can lead them to do the wrong thing. So says a class action suit filed against the State of Utah and a specific state trooper who is accused of writing “driving under the influence” tickets when they weren’t impaired. State trooper Lisa Steed was honored inside the state police force for busting an extraordinary number of drunk drivers. But some of her convictions were subsequently over-turned, and the trooper was reprimanded and then fired for making false arrests. Since Steed’s performance and punishment were reported, dozens of people who were convicted have been signing up with lawyers for a class action suit. People convicted of DUI lost money, cars and trailers and even jobs, according to ABC 4 News/Salt Lake City. Aren’t there enough ACTUAL drunk drivers on the road for one-time to focus on? SMH.
