Source: Gladys Vega / Getty The upcoming Super Bowl and its beleaguered halftime show set with Maroon 5 continues to take hits according to news reports. Cardi B was slated to join the performance but turned it down, allegedly because she wanted a large fee to do so. Page Six reports : The Bronx breakout star, who features on Maroon 5’s recent No. 1 hit “Girls Like You,” has been repeatedly invited to join the band during its halftime performance on Feb. 3. However, a source close to the negotiations said, “Cardi B is standing tough and holding out. She doesn’t want to do it unless they roll out the red carpet for her.” The source claimed that the diva rapper had demanded a staggering fee of up to $1 million, plus a solo spot in the epic halftime show to make it worth her while. Artists are not paid for the halftime show, but are given a “gift in kind” by the NFL to cover expenses such as production, transport and wardrobe. The outlet adds that Cardi B might also be pushing back in doing the performance to show support for Colin Kaepernick. — Photo: Getty

Kim Has 118 Million Instagram Followers This is far more than just something to brag about. It’s something to profit over, as companies across various industries offer someone such as Kim giant sums of money for promoting their product in a social media post. 2. All Celebrities Do It We’re not passing judgement at all here. Who in his or her right mind would NOT accept a six or seven-figure check for just posing with a cup or tea or something? 3. Six or Seven Figures?!? Yes. In fact, Kardashian told Graham that she was offered $1 million by an unnamed fashion company to simply share an ad on her Instagram page. That’s it. One click, one million dollars. 4. What Was the Brand? Kim refused to name it, but said it was a “knock off [of] Yeezy” which is obviously the fashion brand owned by her husband. As such, Kanye took issue with the possibility of his wife shilling for a competitor. 5. Fair Enough, Right? It’s not like Kim is scrambling for pennies in her sofa cusions to make ends meet anyway. Katy Perry Turns Down $20 Million American Idol Offer After hinting earlier this year that she may have been considering joining the infamous American Idol judges panel , Katy Perry has decided to give up the gwap and pass on the gig. Not many people are in the position to pass on a multimillion dollar, one-year job offer, but it looks like Katy Perry doesn’t have that problem. The “Wide Awake” singer was offered $20 million to be an “American Idol” judge, but turned it down, TMZ reports. According to sources, Perry, whose professional and personal life have been in the spotlight recently, was courted by “Idol” producers for the gig for quite some time. She was reportedly first offered $18 million for a one-year contract, with that number jumping up to $20 million. Still, she’s not biting. “She was being hotly pursued,” a source also told Us Weekly about Perry’s “Idol” offer. “They really wanted her.” However, it’s not all that surprising that Perry is passing on the gig. Jake Pavelka is Bold, Beautiful

After appearing on The Bachelorette, starring as The Bachelor and competing on Dancing With the Stars, Jake Pavelka is trying to launch a real acting career. Today, he appeared on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful . “I play a pilot,” said Pavelka, who is/was a pilot before becoming a professional reality star. “What’s ironic is that it’s harder to play a pilot than to be a pilot!” Jake signs an autograph for someone who needs a hobby . Pavelka was offered the role in part because B&B producer Brad Bell flies planes, too. “He’s a pilot himself and we had a whole lot in common,” says Pavelka. Also soaring is Pavelka’s love life – he and wedding planner Meghan Jones are going strong. If that doesn’t work out, there’s always The Bachelor again. Hey, it worked for Brad Womack. “I read that story that I was begging to be The Bachelor again,” says Jake, who was producers’ backup plan after Kiptyn Locke, Reid Rosenthal, Womack and Maksim Chmerkovskiy (seriously) all turned it down. “That was news to me.”

By Jocelyn Vena Jay-Z Photo: Bryan Bedder/ Getty Images Fans are eager to see Betty White host “Saturday Night Live” on May 8, and now it seems that comedy’s most favorite OG will be joined by hip-hop’s biggest star: Jay-Z has been tapped as the musical guest for the show’s May 8 episode, according to multiple sources. Both will appear on the Mother’s Day episode, which will feature appearances by a number of female “SNL” vets including Tina Fey (who hosted the show last weekend with musical guest Justin Bieber), Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer and Rachel Dratch. Jay-Z, who will headline Coachella on Friday night (April 16), has appeared as a musical guest on the show several times before, but this appearance will mark White’s first turn as “SNL” host. “Years ago, I turned it down three times,” said White, who’s been enjoying a career resurgence thanks to her role in “The Proposal” and her buzzed-about Super Bowl Snickers commercial from earlier this year. “It’s so New York, and I’m not New York at all. But my agent said he’d divorce me if I didn’t do it, and I love my agent. “It’s lovely, and at my age it’s certainly unexpected,” she added. “I’ve got so much energy, it’s ridiculous. I love working. My schedule is a feverish one, and I’m used to that.” In an interview with USA Today in March, “SNL” executive producer Lorne Michaels admits he “always wanted” White to host the late-night comedy program. “It took on a groundswell,” Michaels says of a Facebook campaign that began in response to White’s Super Bowl ad. “It isn’t something we would have said no to,” but the campaign “validated that — ‘Oh, that’d be fun.’ … It was the outpouring of affection from fans, and we feel the same way.” Are you pumped to see Jay-Z on “SNL” again? By Jocelyn Vena Betty White Photo: Jamie McCarthy/ Getty Images After fans took to Facebook to launch a campaign to get veteran funny girl Betty White on “Saturday Night Live,” it was announced earlier this week that she would in fact be making an appearance on the show in some capacity. Now comes word that the star will be hosting the show in May. White will be onboard for the May 8 episode, which also happens to be Mother’s Day. The show will feature appearances by a number of female “SNL” vets including Tina Fey, who will also host the show on April 10 with musical guest Justin Bieber; Amy Poehler; Molly Shannon; Maya Rudolph; Ana Gasteyer and Rachel Dratch. In an interview with USA Today , “SNL” executive producer Lorne Michaels admits he “always wanted” White to host the late-night comedy program. “Years ago, I turned it down three times,” White says. “It’s so New York, and I’m not New York at all. But my agent said he’d divorce me if I didn’t do it, and I love my agent.” And while White has starred in and won awards for many of her memorable roles on shows like “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “The Golden Girls” and last summer’s movie “The Proposal,” and has even more recently caught the eye of Robert Pattinson , it was her very funny Super Bowl commercial that was the catalyst for her getting the coveted gig on “SNL.” “It took on a groundswell,” Michaels says of the Facebook campaign, which began in response to White’s appearance in the Super Bowl spot. “It isn’t something we would have said no to,” but the campaign “validated that, ‘Oh, that’d be fun.’ … It was the outpouring of affection from fans, and we feel the same way.” White herself is excited about all the attention. “It’s lovely, and at my age it’s certainly unexpected,” she said. “I’ve got so much energy, it’s ridiculous.
