By Rob Markman DJ Khaled Photo: MTV News If you happen to feel the ground shake in the next few months, don’t be alarmed: Chances are, you’ll just be feeling the after effects of another Kanye West and DJ Khaled single drop. Originally, Kanye’s Kim Kardashian-loving single “Way Too Cold” ( originally titled “Theraflu” ) was slated for the boisterous Cash Money disc jock’s upcoming Kiss the Ring LP, but Khaled didn’t mind giving Yeezy first dibs because the two have another in the stash. “Me and Kanye West went back in the lab and we made another record and got some features on there too,” Khaled told MTV News after a taping of “Hip Hop Squares,” careful not to let too many deets leak. “I can’t really talk about it, so expect another monstrous earthquake to hit the streets.” Throughout his career, Khaled has served as a master matchmaker, pairing the likes of Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and T-Pain on an array of high-powered posse tracks like “We Takin’ Over” and “Welcome to My Hood.” His latest single, “Take it to the Head,” groups Weezy, Rozay, Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown, and on his next LP, the charismatic Khaled promises more of the same. ” Kiss the Ring is gonna be the real deal,” he said. When it comes to his collaborations with West, Khaled throws all the rules out the window. On “Way Too Cold,” the Chi-Town virtuoso not only pissed off PETA by boasting that his mink was draggin’ on the floor, he also confessed his love for Kim Kardashian, tossed a nod to Wiz Khalifa and threw a thinly veiled shot at Kardashian’s ex-hubby Kris Humphries. The Hit-Boy-supplied beat and Kanye’s ear-catching lyrics are what makes the Khaled-assisted track stand out. “On my end, I got this thing with ‘Ye where I tell him there’s no rules and there’s no regulations. It’s no format, and ain’t nobody gonna tell us nothing on what we’re gonna do,” Khaled told MTV News on April 5. The Miami-based DJ/producer wouldn’t say much else about his and Yeezy’s next release, but who knows? Maybe he will spill the beans when he appears on today’s (April 18) “RapFix Live” with host Sway Calloway. Lady Gaga is a major advocate for anti-bullying campaigns and LGBT rights, but she’s come under fire for a Tweet she recently posted about … eating. Yes, in what some critics are interpreting as a pro-anorexic statement, the outspoken, wacky-dressing singer recently told her 22.6 million Twitter fans: “Just killed back to back spin classes. Eating a salad dreaming of a cheeseburger #PopSingersDontEat #IWasBornThisWay,” the 26-year-old posted. Even though she was eating a salad (maybe she’s just dieting?), the backlash started rolling in, accusing the pop star of supporting eating disorders. “Seriously what is Lady Gaga playing at? In her last tweet she put #PopSingersDontEat. What a great role model she is…” one Tweeter posted. Added another Tweeter: “@ladygaga I’m stunned that you would promote such an unhealthy attitude towards food to your fans when you claim to be so righteous.” So far, no response from Gaga on Twitter, and since she’s not doing interviews for awhile, don’t expect a public comment anywhere else. I went to Radio Disney and I found out Justin would be there on Monday to promote Boyfriend! I was stoked to get a chance to meet him especially since Radio Disney is in Burbank, CA by my mom’s work. Fast forward to Monday, I went to my home school session but this time it was particularly hard to focus taking an english test. My phone kept buzzing with Justin’s tweets. Right after it ended, we drove to Burbank. My mom went into a shop so I decided to call Radio Disney offices and found out he was already there ! I begged my mom and she rushed as fast as she could to get there. We got to the studio and I saw girls so I figured he hadn’t left yet! I was becoming anxious of meeting Justin because this time to the line up of things I’ve done for him, I wrote a song and posted it on YouTube and I had so much to tell him. About 1 hour after waiting, he came out of the station and there he was talking to Shelby, I was so nervous but I had to try. I lightly tapped him and poked him o n the shoulder and gave him the Bieber dictionary I made him. He did this cute hug thing to it, then I asked him for a picture but since my mom was taking it, it didn’t come out. So he took a picture with another girl and I had to ask him for another one. While we were taking our picture, I told him about how I’d been waiting to give him the dictionary face to face since 2010 and he was like, “Really?” and I was like, “Yeah and you don’t even follow me on Twitter,” and he was like, “What’s your twitter” and was getting ready to pull his phone out and follow me! I was like it’s in there and I pointed to the dictionary. Then I put my hand out and I was like, “Promise me you’ll follow me on Twitter?” And he took my hand and looked me in the eyes and was like “I promise” and I was like and, “You’ll read my letter?” And he said, “..and I’ll read your letter!” I can honestly say it was all worth it, all the times HATERS told me I’d never meet Justin again, or being a belieber is just a waste of time. ‘Call Me Maybe’ singer covers everything from her first impression of Justin Bieber to whether she believes in love at first sight. The onetime “Canadian Idol” contestant is riding high off the success of hit single “Call Me Maybe,” and she just beat out her boss, Justin Bieber , on the U.K. charts, taking the #1 spot . Of course, Jepsen credits Bieber with much of her success , and she also knows she wouldn’t be where she is without her fans. Jepsen recently took some time out of her busy schedule to stop by MTV News and answer some of your Twitter questions. She covered everything from her first impressions of Bieber to whether she believes in love at first sight. Read below to find out what Jepsen had to say! @AmericanBiebz: We all know what Justin thought of Carly at first, so we wanna know: What was Carly’s first impression of Justin? Carly Rae Jepsen : I thought he was charming. He’s extremely talented — and, I mean, obviously that’s pretty well-known — but in ways that I didn’t realize. I knew that he sang, I knew that he was sort of infectious in his personality, I knew that he danced, but I didn’t know how strong of a songwriter he was, and my first introduction to him was actually in his studio and he played me a couple songs he had written, and I was really impressed and I was so glad, because I really, really liked him. @majojimenz: Is Justin planning on taking Carly with him on tour? Jepsen : I don’t know! We’ll have to ask Justin, but at this point we have no real idea of when we are going to be touring. @EmmaJaneGander: Would you ever do a duet with Selena Gomez? Jepsen : Yeah, I think I’m open to collaborating with anybody. I have, like, a dream list of people that I want to collaborate with. John Mayer is on that list and Taylor Swift, actually. I think she’s an amazing songwriter. I would imagine that would be a cool combination. @JustinsEyebrow: Do you think you have a certain style of music, or are you up for anything? Jepsen : I definitely have a bit of boundaries of what I like and what would be suitable to who I am as an artist, but I don’t want to put too many limits on it at the same time. Right now, I’m really attracted to pop music, I love dance songs and artists like Robyn and La Roux. And then I come from a folky background, so I would say my music is kind of a combination of all those things, but that doesn’t mean I can’t experiment more, fall in love with something else down the line. @lovedbybieber: If Carly could change one thing in the world, what would it be? Jepsen : World hunger. @shortstufff21: If you could change anything about you what would it be and why? Jepsen : I would be taller than 5’2, have some legs on me. @carlyraeheart: Do you believe in love at first sight? Courtney Love fired off a Twitter missive in which she accuses former Nirvana member Dave Grohl of hitting on her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Grohl angrily denied the allegation. “Unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant,” he said via his publicist. “These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue.” What the Foo Fighters frontman is referring to is a series of tweets the 47-year-old Love, the late Kurt Cobain’s widow, lobbed last night online. SIDE NOTE: Hilariously, her allegations against @davegrohl actually went to a German IT student by that name … it’s not the rocker’s account. Anyway, Love Tweeted the following: “I hear from frannies roommate that @davegrohl hit on frances, and that she was curious, I’m not mad at her, him I am about to shoot, dead.” Courtney admitted the whole thing may have been gossip she heard from a driver, but still laid into the musician because she totally believes it: “The driver from the cm who drove @davegrohl my daughter was telling me what st. on laurel canyon and that he had his hands all over her.” “it could be a riumnour [sic] the actual sex, and it’s not beans fault she’s not slutty in any way, at all, HES OBSESSED.” she added. Courtney went on to suggest that Grohl was “sexually obsessed with” Kurt as well and that he “had that Romney rape thing about him.” Don’t ask us what the hell that even means.
