As soon as Kevin Hart stepped down from hosting the Oscars and that’s left the question…Who’s going to host. If you’ve been living under a rock then you missed that Kevin Hart was set to host this year’s Oscars but some homophobic tweets resurfaced and that caused him to step down because he refused to address the tweets…AGAIN. The comedian said that he addressed the tweets in the past and the academy gave him an ultimatum to apologize or they would choose someone else to host. Kevin chose to step down from the position after saying that he’s apologized several time for the tweets. The irony of the entire situation is that Kevin stood on the idea that he wouldn’t continue to address the situation but he has recently gone on a press tour to discuss the Oscar’s controversy. Alas he says after this he will not address the situation anymore. Here’s a look at his Good Morning America interview addressing the situation: Kevin went on to say that ultimately he’s not opposed to hosting the Oscars in the future and there are no hard feelings between him and the academy. He says he’s currently too busy to hosts the Oscars at this point. According to multiple sources the Oscars will have several celebrities introduce segments instead of one main host. After the controversy of this year it seems like no celebrity wanted the task of following up on the drama If you want to know the on going drama with R. Kelly, plus why the City Girls and Khia are beefing, Leah’s got you covered! Listen to Leah’s Lemonade above.

How could it not be, according the folks at the Golden Globes, it’s the very best movie of its genre this year. I swear to God I didn’t photoshop this #SpiderVerse #GoldenGlobes pic.twitter.com/xhTAt5aZTP — Peter Ramsey (@pramsey342) January 7, 2019 Spider-Verse took home the statue for best animated feature and that is building up some serious Oscar talk, but we’ll get to that later. Director Peter Ramsey, a Black man, along with fellow directors Bob Persichetti and Rodney Rothman spoke about the theme of the film and why it’s touching people in such a profound way via THR . “Anyone can wear the mask; everyone is powerful and everyone is necessary, and that is the spirit of the movie,” said Peter Ramsey, who directed with Bob Persichetti and Rodney Rothman, backstage at the Golden Globes. “We all felt deeply that anyone can have this kind of experience and be this kind of hero. The story of Miles Morales was a way to crystallize all of those feelings into one character.” “Our favorite part was finding a voice for Miles Morales, with Shameik Moore, and creating something that could stand up to Peter Parker and be unique and different and separate,” added Persichetti. Source: Gregg DeGuire / Getty Shameik Moore does an incredible job voicing Mile Morales and we’re definitely looking forward to seeing and hearing him more in the future. In some cases the Golden Globe winner can inform the Oscar winner, but as The Week points out: …while the Golden Globes’ track record for predicting the Oscars is mixed at best, the two awards shows have picked the same animated feature nine out of 12 times. Those are bad odds. If you haven’t seen this flick yet, grab your son, daughter, niece, nephew, cousin, momma, daddy, grandmama, your cousin’s “special friend”, the dog, the cat, and the goldfish and take them all to the theater to see it. You’ll love it. Fun for all ages.

Ariana Grande made it as clear as possible a few days ago: She was so very ready to be done with 2018 . And now the beloved pop star has made something else as clear as possible: She also may be done with dating. Forever. On Tuesday, the artist came across a fan’s post with the headline: “Who Is Ariana Dating NOW?!” In response to this question, the 25-year-old herself was curious to find out the answer. “Can they tell me too?” she replied to one follower, prior making it adding in no uncertain terms whatsoever: Spoiler: for the rest of this year/probably my life: It’s no one. Please refer back to this tweet for future questions. So there we appear to have it. Sorry, fellas. We doubt Grande is serious about swearing off men forever, but it’s easy to understand where she’s coming from. As loyal celebrity gossip fans likely know very well, this has been a very tumultuous year for the singer on the personal front. Back in September, Grande’s ex-boyfriend of two years, Mac Miller, died of a drug overdose . Not only did Ariana have to deal with the painful personal feelings associated with this loss, she also had to deal with awful Internet trolls actually blaming her for Miller’s death. These insensitive morons tried to argue that Grande ending the couple’s romance drove Miller (a long-time addict) deep into despair — and, consequently, heavy drug use. Grande, as you are also very likely aware, got engaged to Pete Davidson this fall… after mere weeks of dating the comedian. The stars then called off said engagement mere weeks later and spent several days shading each other online. This tragically contributed to Davidson threatening to kill himself and Grande once again needing to turn off her Instagram comments due to all the hate spewed in her direction. So, yeah. We totally get why she isn’t anxious to get out there and mingle with other single people right now. “I want to say that I find it interesting that this has been one of the best years of my career and the worst of my life,” Ariana said in December , adding while accepting the Woman of the Year award at Billboard’s Women in Music event: “But as far as my personal life goes. I really have no idea what the f-ck I’m doing… “I just want to say if you’re someone out there who has no idea what this next chapter’s gonna bring, you’re not alone in that.” Amen, Ariana. Thankfully, Grande continues to have the support of her millions of social media followers. This is what she wrote about them on Tuesday: My timeline is beautiful rn. Proud of u all and the human beings you’re growing into. Happy nye! Continue to take care of / celebrate each other the way you always do. Happy to know u thru the internet & have u in my life. Our relationship is real and important to me. Love u.
Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty It looks like Joe Budden and Charlamagne Tha God are going to start a new Hip-Hop tradition as the two have once again linked up for another installment of their end of the year recap , Pull Up . For two hours and change, the pair touched on a bevy of 2018 topics including the king of R&B debate, Tekashi 6ix9ine, and their favorite rap albums of the year with Charlamagne voicing his displeasure with Lil Wayne’s long-anticipated release of The Carter V . “I thought Lil Wayne’s project was too long, number 1 and number 2, he’s not talking about anything. Wayne is 37, 38-years-old. You’ve lived a long fruitful life, you’re a father… you’ve been to prison – you’re not telling us anything about yourself.” Well, he’s not wrong but Weezy fans might give him the business for that hot take. Wait till you hear his take on that highly anticipated Nas and Kanye West project.
