As soon as Kevin Hart stepped down from hosting the Oscars and that’s left the question…Who’s going to host. If you’ve been living under a rock then you missed that Kevin Hart was set to host this year’s Oscars but some homophobic tweets resurfaced and that caused him to step down because he refused to address the tweets…AGAIN. The comedian said that he addressed the tweets in the past and the academy gave him an ultimatum to apologize or they would choose someone else to host. Kevin chose to step down from the position after saying that he’s apologized several time for the tweets. The irony of the entire situation is that Kevin stood on the idea that he wouldn’t continue to address the situation but he has recently gone on a press tour to discuss the Oscar’s controversy. Alas he says after this he will not address the situation anymore. Here’s a look at his Good Morning America interview addressing the situation: Kevin went on to say that ultimately he’s not opposed to hosting the Oscars in the future and there are no hard feelings between him and the academy. He says he’s currently too busy to hosts the Oscars at this point. According to multiple sources the Oscars will have several celebrities introduce segments instead of one main host. Kevin Hart has been in hot water after homophobic tweets resurfaced of the comedian using slurs against gay people.According to the comedian he’s apologized about his past posts but the academy wasn’t feeling it. Kevin Hart took to social media to say he wouldn’t be hosting the 91st Academy awards. Here’s Kevin’s video explaining the situation: People’s reaction’s on social media has varied as far as Kevin’s ultimately dropping out. Well the Oscars stood by their decision to move on without the “Night School” comedian. Well Kevin’s out but who’s in? That’s the question of the hour because the Oscar’s are having a hard time finding a new host. According to TMZ the job only pays around $15,000, which considering that most of the hosts make more than that with their normal careers it seems like a low number. The Academy looks at the gig as a “opportunity of a lifetime,” which is typically why they don’t a high dollar for the host of the Oscars. With the controversy behind Kevin Hart, plus the little pay…The Academy is struggling to Find a new host for the occasion. No one’s biting to follow up all the drama. But the global chain has come out and said it’s very sorry for offering Halloween costumes to “Fat Girls.” Earlier today, online customers were aghast to see the retailer labeled a section of its adult plus-size Halloween outfits as “Fat Girl Costumes.” An influx of negative responses turned “Fat Girl Costumes” into a trending topic on Twitter, with one user summing up everyone’s feelings thusly: “Walmart took it to another level today with their ‘fat girl costumes’ section on their website. Disappointed and flabbergasted.” In response to the controversy, a spokesperson for Walmart has issues the following statement: This never should have been on our site. It is unacceptable, and we apologize.
