A couple of weeks ago Burger King got in trouble for putting a black chick in an ad about fried chicken…something that based on the black people I know…seemed pretty culturally relevant….but no one seemed to give a fuck when they put Sofia Vergara as a Burger King worker, something equally culturally relevant, except that Vergara was more of a whore than the other Colombians, you know sucking coke dealing millionaire dick until they helped her get famous with her tits….tits that Burger King didn’t exploit despite her willingness to exploit them….making that the real tragedy of this campaign….but at least they tried to save themselves by using Salma Hayek’s Mexican Mom Tits…..and here’s the Salma Hayek ad…that I should be getting paid to post, but I’m not. Blige’s Burger King ad , the Queen of Soul has finally spoken out on the matter. According to a statement Blige issued to TMZ , the final version of the commercial — in which Blige appears standing on top of a table belting out the ingredients of the fast-food chain’s new Crispy Chicken Wrap to the soundtrack of her single “Don’t Mind” — was not what the singer thought she signed up for. “I agreed to be a part of a fun and creative campaign that was supposed to feature a dream sequence. Unfortunately, that’s not what was happening in that clip,” Blige told the website. “I understand my fans being upset by what they saw. But, if you’re a Mary fan, you have to know I would never allow an unfinished spot like the one you saw go out.” The ad received harsh criticism from fans, particularly those in the black community who complained that the content promoted a negative stereotype. Burger King immediately pulled the ad from its YouTube channel, but claimed it did so because of music-licensing issues . The company said it hopes to have the “ads back on the air soon,” though they did not specify if the ads would be the same or if they would edit a new version. Rumors have surfaced that Blige received $2 million for the ad — and she’s not the only one. Other celebrities promoting the burger chain’s new menu include soccer star David Beckham, actress Salma Hayek and late-night host Jay Leno. What did you think of Mary J.’s Burger King ad? Looks like Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett is taking her reality show on the road … or at least hitting the road and leaving the familiar confines of E! for WE tv. After two successful reality series chronicling the ins and outs of her career and personal life, she’s ready to turn over a new leaf. Okay, not really. WE tv announced today that it will air Kendra on Top , a new docu-soap series that will pick up where E!’s Girls Next Door spinoff Kendra left off. So it’s basically the same, just on a station fewer people have heard of. “I’m so excited to be joining the WE tv family!” she said. “I’m thrilled to continue showing the world my story and everything coming up in my life.” Everything that comes up in NFL player hubby Hank Baskett and adorable son Hank IV’s lives will also be chronicled, of course. Those are her boys. The show has yet to go into production, but filming is expected to begin this month. Expect a lot of cute moments … and outfits like the one above. A 14-episode season of Kendra On Top will begin airing this summer.

At least 23 children suffering from a rare genetic disorder have tested positive for HIV after receiving tainted blood transfusions in western India, officials said Monday. The children all received free blood transfusions at a government-run hospital in the Junagadh district of Gujarat state between January and August, hospital head G.T. Dayalu said. State government spokesman Jai Narayan Vyas said a team of doctors has been sent to investigate. News reports quoted Vyas as saying that many of the infected children had received transfusions from more than one hospital. But the Indian Express newspaper reported that parents of the children said they had received blood only at the government hospital. The children suffer from thalassemia, a genetic disorder that requires regular transfusions. The children all belong to poor families. Damn. Are poor, Brown babies safe ANYWHERE on this planet? A woman who was struck and killed by her own SUV in the parking lot of the Burger King headquarters in Miami has been identified, police said Monday. Arlene M. Allen, of Miramar, Fla., began to pull out of a parking space at about 6:20 p.m. on Thursday when she hit another vehicle that was parked nearby, Miami-Dade County police said. The woman got out her BMW SUV to assess the damage, but left her vehicle in reverse gear with the driver’s door open, police spokesman Roy Rutland said. The car continued in reverse and struck Allen before hitting two other cars. Police later pronounced the woman dead at the scene. “At this point this just appears to be a tragic accident involving an adult female who was literally just trying to leave work,” Rutland told WTVJ-TV. Police were continuing to investigate the accident. Wow. SMH. Source
