Wiggins/WENN.com Many people have been waiting on Drake to respond to Pusha T’s new classic diss record before declaring a winner, but Hip-Hop OG Ice Cube feels that Drake’s rap supremacy is coming to an end and not just because of the scathing diss record either. During an interview on SANACAST, Cube admitted that he felt Drake’s come to the end of his royal road. He said, “I think your reign just becomes over. I think that the audience has determined that more. You get three years of you can own the airwaves but then it’s time for somebody else. That’s just been the pattern. That was the pattern with me.” He’s not wrong. Aside from Jay-Z’s reign from the late 90’s to the mid 00’s, it’s hard to think of another rapper who had the game in a chokehold for longer than three years. And though Cube feels that Pusha might’ve gone too far in “The Story of Adidon,” he doesn’t think he himself violated anyone in his own classic diss record “No Vaseline.” “I went in but I didn’t go too far… I didn’t really speak on families and kids and mamas and daddies. I kept it personal but contained, and I didn’t start it, so…” Check out the interview below and let us know if you think Cube has a point.
Source: Samir Hussein / Getty Danai Gurira is ready to lead the world’s fiercest warriors as Okoye in Black Panther . In preparation for the premiere of Black Panther on Friday, we’ve introduced you to Erik Killmonger and Nakia, now it’s time for you to get acquainted with Okoye! Okoye is the one you’ve seen piloting a magnificent airship into Wakanda in Black Panther trailers and teasers. As she commands the skies, so to does she command the Dora Milaje on the ground. She is their general, and there is no one more fit for the role than her. In the main Marvel comics Universe (aka Earth-616), the Dora Milaje had been inactive for a while before T’Challa’s reign. When he reactivated it, both Nakia and Okoye were natural choices for the job. However, only one of them could be in charge of the girls. Although they are devoted Dora Milaje, they’re motivated by very different things. Nakia has feelings involved due to her romantic past with T’Challa, but Okoye is a woman on a mission. As the lead member of the Dore Milaje, Okoye is one of T’Challa’s wives in waiting, but she’s not terribly interested in him. In fact, she’s got feelings for another member of the Dora Milaje, Ayo. (You’ll remember Ayo as the woman who had Black Widow shook in Captain America: Civil War.) Sadly, we may not get a chance to see Okoye and Ayo’s relationship. According to Screen Crush , an earlier version of Black Panther featured a brief moment of flirtation between the two, but more recent cuts have deleted the scene. Will the editors return that wink to their romance in the final version of Black Panther? We’ll have to find out starting Friday! Los Angeles premiere of ‘Get Hard’ at the TCL Chinese Theatre – Red Carpet Arrivals Featuring: TI, Clifford Harris Jr., Tameka Cottle-Harris, Tiny Tiny Filed For Divorce Last Month TI has apparently blown off the chance to respond to his wife Tiny’s divorce filing – paving the way for a judge to give her half of everything. The “Whatever You Like” rapper missed the Jan. 6 deadline to answer Tameka “Tiny” Cottle-Harris’s divorce petition, where she asked for half the property, assets and other wealth they’ve accumulated over the course of their six and a half year marriage. TI, who was born Clifford Harris Jr., had 30 days to respond to Tiny’s filing, but did not according to records from the Henry County Superior Court. Now, a family court judge could rule in Tiny’s favor by default.” Tiny filed for divorce Dec. 7, citing “irreconcilable differences,” and said that there was no hope of getting back together. She said they’ve been living separately, and BOSSIP learned that the pair has been paying taxes on separate mega-mansions a few towns away from each other for at least a year. However, the rumor is that TI and Tiny have been spending a lot of time together lately and the rapper is allegedly doing all he can to keep them from splitting up for good. Tiny asked for TI to make a full accounting of their money, property and investment accounts because she said she is entitled to half of everything. The singer turned reality star also asked for half of the automobiles they amassed during their union as well as half the money TI has in a retirement account. She also asked for primary legal and physical custody of their kids. She also acknowledged that the couple is in debt – likely the millions they owe to the IRS – and said that because of TI’s high earning ability, he should be responsible for paying it off. The pair is set to appear in court in March for a temporary contested hearing, where a judge will determine temporary child support, custody and alimony – and where TI will have his chance to explain why the divorce shouldn’t go through.
Los Angeles premiere of ‘Get Hard’ at the TCL Chinese Theatre – Red Carpet Arrivals Singer & Reality Star Filed For Divorce From TI Dec. 7 Tiny Harris said in her divorce papers that she and her kids have been living apart from husband TI for some time, and asked the court for alimony, child support and half of all the assets the exes accumulated during their marriage. The former member of Xcsape revealed the current nature of her relationship with the “Whatever You Like” rapper in her divorce petition, which was filed earlier this month and exclusively obtained by BOSSIP. Tiny said her marriage is “irretrievably broken” and that there is no chance that they’ll get back together. The estranged wife of TI said they’ve been living apart for some time and asked the court for primary legal custody of their children. “The parties are living in a bona fide state of separation,” Tiny wrote in her petition. Indeed, tax records obtained by BOSSIP show Tiny has been paying property taxes on a $1.6 million mansion a few towns away from TI’s tony $2 million pad for at least a year, according to the Henry County Tax Department. The revelations will shatter their image as an intact blended family and call into question whether scenes from their reality show “The Family Hustle” were actually faked. She’s asked for both temporary and permanent child support and alimony “in an amount consistent with the parties standard of living,” according to her court filing.

Cameron Crowe Apologizes For Casting Emma Stone As Mixed-Race Asian Woman Is Hollywood starting to recognize how egregious its whitewashing casting choices are? Cameron Crowe’s return to directing, “Aloha,” was not only a box office disappointment over its opening weekend, but enfuriated tons of fans who didn’t understand why a movie set in Hawaii featured virtually NO Pacific Islanders, but the only partially Asian character in the film was cast as a fully-white woman. Via CNN : Writer-director Cameron Crowe is having a tough week. His critically savaged movie, “Aloha,” performed poorly in its first weekend in theaters, collecting just $10.5 million despite a shiny pedigree and a star-studded cast. And now he’s apologizing for what critics are calling the culturally insensitive casting of actress Emma Stone as a part-Asian character. “Thank you so much for all the impassioned comments regarding the casting of the wonderful Emma Stone in the part of Allison Ng,” Crowe wrote in a post on his personal blog. “I have heard your words and your disappointment, and I offer you a heart-felt apology to all who felt this was an odd or misguided casting choice.” The Allison Ng character in the film is a young Air Force pilot in Hawaii with a father who is half Chinese. Ng is proud to be one-quarter Hawaiian, a fact she repeats to almost everyone she encounters. But Stone, who grew up in Arizona, apparently has no Chinese or Pacific Islander ancestry. Native Hawaiians, Asian activists and bloggers have criticized the movie — set entirely in Hawaii — for its overwhelmingly white cast, with many singling out Stone’s casting as being especially egregious. “As far back as 2007, Captain Allison Ng was written to be a super-proud ¼ Hawaiian who was frustrated that, by all outward appearances, she looked nothing like one. A half-Chinese father was meant to show the surprising mix of cultures often prevalent in Hawaii,” he wrote. “Extremely proud of her unlikely heritage, she feels personally compelled to over-explain every chance she gets. The character was based on a real-life, red-headed local who did just that.” It doesn’t fix Hollywood’s frequent refusal to acknowledge races and cultures other than Caucasian…but it’s a step in the right direction, right? Now if only Ridley Scott could do the same for his all-white movie of African Gods and Kings …
Zoe Saldana Not Looking To Get To Pre-Baby Weight Zoe Saldana gained over 70lbs while pregnant with twins Cy & Bowie . Even though she’s working hard with a trainer to regain her health, she stresses that she isn’t really interested in regaining her signature thin frame. Via MailOnline : It has been six months since Zoe Saldana welcomed twin boys Bowie Ezio and Cy Aridio, and while the actress looks amazing, she’s in no rush to return to her post-baby shape. The 36-year-old shows off her stunning figure on the cover of InStyle’s July 2015 issue, wherein she opened up about how motherhood has changed her life. ‘I don’t want to get back to where I used to be,’ the mother-of-two shared, regarding her figure. ‘I want to feel healthy, and not just fit into the old jeans I used to wear.’ Zoe, who looks radiant on the cover in a patterned blue and white Dolce & Gabbana dress, continued: ‘I’m a woman now. My body has changed forever. It’s softer… and stronger.’ The actress has documented her struggle to get back in shape on her Facebook account, sharing a picture of herself working out on a treadmill in April, along with a detailed message describing her journey to regain her stamina and svelte shape. Good for her! She looks nice a little thicker anyway, don’t you agree?
Don’t act like that, keep it 100!!! Double-Amputee Oscar Pistorius Makes Olympic History Advancing To 400 Meter Semifinals With the crowd at Olympic Stadium cheering him on, Oscar Pistorius crouched in the starting blocks Saturday and couldn’t help but smile. “The experience to be here is a dream come true,” said the South African sprinter. “I’ve worked for six years to try and make the 400 standard, and to come out today is just an unbelievable experience.” Running on a pair of prosthetic legs, Pistorius became the first amputee to compete in an Olympic race and was a crowd favorite from the moment he stepped onto the track Saturday morning. While he knew gold in the 400-meter here wasn’t likely, he still wasn’t content to simply show up in London. “It’s one thing being here and another thing performing here… My goal was to make the semifinal tomorrow,” he said. And he did that, finishing second in his qualifying heat Saturday. Pistorius had no problem advancing, finishing in 45.44 seconds, his second-best mark of the year. The semifinals will take place on Sunday. “It’s very difficult to separate the occasion from the race. …Just being here is a tremendous experience,” he said. “You draw enough from the crowd and the occasion.” Pistorius is known as the Blade Runner because he wears blade-shaped prosthetics. He has competed in the Paralympics but fought for years to be included in the Olympics. The Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled that the blades do not give him an advantage over other runners. Ladies, clearly Oscar is successful, in good shape, and probably has a couple dollars, but what we want to know is…would you hit that?? Shows will look ‘as dynamic and as emotional’ as Last Train to Paris sounds, Diddy tells MTV News. By Alvin Blanco, with reporting by Kelley L. Carter Diddy Photo: MTV News Diddy-Dirty Money is making sure their Last Train to Paris album gets an extended shelf life. The Sean “Diddy” Combs-led trio is kicking off their Coming Home Tour on Wednesday (April 13) in Minneapolis. Over his almost 20-year recording career, the Bad Boy Records CEO has grown accustomed to rocking stadiums, but this tour will be hitting small venues during its month-long run. “We wanted to do an intimate tour because it gives you a chance to play to the people that really love your music,” Diddy told MTV News during a rehearsal break. “It’s not as commercial as just going to an arena situation, which after this, we have different arena shows. The whole purpose of this was the reinvention, to do things that I haven’t done before, for me to have new, different experiences and for me to really connect with people. … I think there’s no better way than to go and do an up close and personal tour.” While show locales might be smaller in scale, Diddy-Dirty Money will be backed by a band, and they plan on packing the same emotion and sonic passion found on the Last Train album into their shows. “I just wanted it to look how it sounded,” Diddy said. “As dynamic and as emotional as it sounds, that’s the way it’s going to look. I wanted to give people more than what they bargained for. Because in this viral age, I just wanted to imagine the first five dates and how every city, when people see the show, they’ll be talking about it virally.” Prepping for the shows has shown the group’s other members, singers Dawn Richards and Kalenna Harper, the intense side of Diddy as he makes sure the tour’s stage show is perfect. “The crazy thing about working with Puff is that we’ve learned to work around him, focusing and understanding it’s a learning process,” Harper said. “We’re with somebody who’s been in the industry for 20-some-odd years. So, for him to be focused on what the lights look like, what it should sound like, like he said, ‘Looking out for the bullsh–,’ that’s something for us to pay attention to, and we’re in the group with him.” After numerous delays, Last Train was released in December and landed at #7 on the Billboard albums chart. Most projects start winding down a few months after their release, but this group doesn’t plan to let up anytime soon. “That’s the great thing about this group that I’m really excited about: our work ethic. There’s no such thing as sleep,” Richards said. “For us, this is the fun part. We been locked in the studio for three years trying to figure out what this [album] was going to be like. To finally have it come to pass and then to be able to sit here with the band and hear it live like this is really [exciting] for us.” Will you be seeing the Coming Home Tour? Tell us below!
