Dog Watches Over Sleeping Baby, Melts World Wide Web

We were wrong. It turns out there is something cuter than a puppy playing with a baby : A puppy watching over a sleeping baby. In a ridiculously adorable photo posted to Reddit, user “jpdisco” has given us a look at his canine paying very close attention to his newborn, writing along with the image: “We were a bit worried how the dog would react [to our first child] when we got home. Needless to say, she digs him.” Seriously. Are those tears forming in the dog’s eyes even?!? Amazing. Earlier today, we posted another AWWW-inspiring dog photo, this one of a pet excitedly Skype-bombing his deployed military owner.

Justin Bieber Takes DNA Test, Serenades Selena Gomez

If Justin Bieber looked especially relaxed at last night’s American Music Awards – singing ” Under the Mistletoe ,” posing on the red carpet – there was a good reason for the artist’s positive mood: He reportedly took a DNA test Friday, as Bieber looks to officially clear his sperm and end talk that he’s the father of Mariah Yeater’s child. Justin Bieber doesn’t look too worried about anything other than making Selena Gomez happy, does he? A source tells TMZ that Justin took the test at a lab under “very controlled circumstances.” From here, assuming the results prove he is NOT the daddy, Bieber’s team says he will sue Yeater for defamation. Meanwhile, shortly after taking the test, Bieber rehearsed in Los Angeles for his AMA performance – and witnesses say he paid especially close attention to a certain member of the crowd throughout the evening: Selena Gomez. “At one point Justin even sang I Feel Good, a la James Brown! They were totally adorable,” an onlooker reports of Justin and Selena. “They were snuggling in between takes, and he was serenading her! They look as in love as ever.” AWWWW!

Venus Williams French Open Outfit: Love It or Loathe It?

Venus Williams coasted to a 6-3, 6-3 victory against Patty Schnyder in the first round of the French Open this weekend. But the tennis great’s powerful serve and winning forehand aren’t what has the online community buzzing this morning. Instead, all talk centers around the black and red, tutu-like dress this legend wore on the court, which covered flesh-toned underwear often spotted by anyone paying close attention when Venus went for an overhead smash. It was really more of a corset than typical tennis attire: The part-time designer said the look is “about illusion, which represents “a lot of my motif this year.” We say this outfit could very well start flying off the shelves of our THG Style Store : readers will either want to burn it or wear it. Where do you stand? Venus Williams’ French Open fashion statement is… From the front, to the side, to the revealing back: Judge this attire for yourself.

Finally somebody will get Sarah Palin on the witness stand!

Former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin is expected to be a witness at a University of Tennessee student’s internet fraud trial next month. University of Tennessee student David Kernell, now 22, is accused of accessing Sarah Palin’s personal e-mail account (gov.palin@yahoo.com) while she was Sen. John McCain’s running mate. Palin was governor at the time. Prosecutors contend Kernell answered some security questions, like Palin’s date of birth and where she met her spouse, then reset her password. He’s accused of posting the new password on the internet so others could look at her e-mail account. I doubt the defense attorney will ask Palin any of the questions that most of us are dying to hear her answer, but I know I will still be paying very close attention to this trial. Just in case.
