50 Cent Hospitalized After Serious Car Crash

A serious car wreck left 50 Cent hospitalized with possible injuries to his neck and back, according to a website affiliated with the rapper, This is 50. The crash involved his SUV and a mack truck, apparently. It happened early this morning on the Long Island Expressway just outside N.Y. City. The truck rear-ended 50’s SUV, which “almost flipped over.” The star was taken a nearby hospital, where, according to the site, doctors ran tests on his neck and back. Fortunately, he checked out fine. A rep for Curtis Jackson (50’s real name) confirms: “He was taken to New York Hospital Queens where he was treated for minor neck and back injuries. He was released this morning and is doing fine.” Good to hear. Hopefully he recovers quickly and fully from the scary incident. In other 50 news, the rapper recently quashed his beef with Oprah .

50 Cent Sets July 3 Release Date For Long-Delayed LP

Fif talks to Philadelphia radio station about Five (Murder By Numbers) and pal Floyd Mayweather’s ‘difficult’ time in prison. By Carter Maness 50 Cent Photo: 50 Cent has confirmed that his next official LP, Five (Murder By Numbers), is set to drop on July 3. In a wide-ranging conversation with Philadelphia radio station Hot 107.9 , which comes off his recent appearance on “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” Fif also touched on label politics and boxer Floyd Mayweather’s stint in prison. The new album, which follows the back-to-basics Lost Tape and The Big Ten freebies, will be the last in his turbulent deal with Interscope . “I said I was gonna put a record out that was completely up to album standard, and I’m gonna do that. I worked on this album for a long time. It’s been three years,” he said. The reason for the delay? Label politics. 50 actually gave his longtime home Interscope credit for his musical successes, but noted that it’s easier to see their failures when an artist doesn’t have excessive hype. “Labels at different points, they drop the ball,” Fif said. “It’s not visible when the momentum is feverish. For me, with Interscope, all the success I’ve had in music has been with them.” The G-Unit CEO, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, also gave an update on his friend Floyd Mayweather, who is currently serving a three-month sentence for domestic battery of an ex-girlfriend in front of their two children. “He’s not doing good right now,” said 50. “He only been out seven hours since he been in there. They doin’ everything to make this difficult.” Right before Mayweather began his sentence last month, Fif told MTV News that the boxer has a deep connection with music. “Floyd has a huge passion for music that people don’t know about,” 50 explained. “It’s a big part of what makes him comfortable and takes his mind off of how hard he has to work to stay being the #1 fighter in the world.” Are you excited for 50 Cent’s next album? 50 Cent Explains Why His Dog Is Named Oprah

Curtis Jackson recently appeared on Conan O’Brien’s talk show to discuss his snow removal job in Queens during the snowstorm, his wireless headphone line, his comedic Twitter posts and the reason he named his dog Oprah and his cat Gayle. “At first I thought Oprah Winfrey didn’t like Hip-Hop, so I didn’t like her and I hadn’t had a chance to meet her, so I felt it was wrong to hate someone that you hadn’t had a chance to meet. So I bought the dog, so now I love Oprah…She listens to me and everything,” 50 explained. 50 also talked about his run-ins with the real Gayle King and his subliminal flirting with her. He claims that when he grows his facial hair he can pull the older ones. Check out 50 all suited up on Conan at HipHopWired.com

50 Cent Making It Rain On Them Hoes Via Twitter

Dayuummmm, Curtis!!! Rapper 50 Cent made $8.7 million yesterday — by tweeting. The 35-year-old celeb, aka Curtis Jackson, helped pop the shares of a no-name penny stock company he’s invested in by 290 percent yesterday after chatting it up this weekend on Twitter, the social-networking site. “You can double your money right now. Just get what you can afford,” Jackson tweeted about H&H Imports, a money-losing venture out of Clearwater, Fla., that owns TV Goods, a marketing firm recently founded by Kevin Harrington. Harrington is best known for his role on ABC’s reality show “Shark Tank,” which lets entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to potential backers. “They are no joke get in now,” Jackson told his 3.8 million Twitter followers about TV Goods, which Harrington founded in 2009. It merged with H&H in May. Jackson received 30 million shares of H&H in a private placement last October, including a series of warrants granting him the opportunity to cash in as the stock rises: at 15 cents, 25 cents or — no kidding — 50 cents. For some of the warrants, he only has to put up 10 cents a share, according to a recent regulatory filing. Earlier this month, Jackson also “personally endorsed” a line of mobile audio products TV Goods had gained marketing rights to that are made by another Florida company, Sleek Audio, H&H said. Jackson talked up the headphones when he appeared on TV last week from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Jackson’s reps didn’t return a request for comment. Of course, Jackson’s hype won’t fix the cash-flow problems at H&H. The company lost $1.3 million last quarter on revenues of just $292,933. As of Sept. 30, the company has accumulated a deficit of $3.3 million and in March its auditor raised questions about its ability “to continue as a going concern,” the company has said in financial documents. H&H closed at 39 cents yesterday, up 29 cents, boosting Jackson’s 30 million-share stake by $8.7 million. Source

Shyne Says 50 Cent Is ‘Desperate,’ ‘Stalking’ Him

‘He didn’t call up saying he’s Curtis Jackson,’ the Belize MC says in response to Fif impersonating a DJ to disrupt live phone chat. By Shaheem Reid Shyne Photo: Gangland Belize-born MC Shyne led a Def Jam-sponsored conference call on Wednesday that was broadcast live on XXL magazine’s Ustream. The call was supposed to have included DJs and journalists, but one of Shyne’s musical nemeses, 50 Cent, decided to crash the proceedings. In a video posted Thursday (August 12) on ThisIs50.com , 50 is seen on the phone claiming to be a radio personality: “Shawn from Radio One.” Fif then poses the question, “What’s your real issue with 50 Cent?” 50’s call was quickly disconnected and he was blocked from calling back. Later on in the video, though, 50 is seen yelling into the phone, pretending to talk to Shyne, spitting Mel Gibson-eque obscenities and declaring “you’re on an island. You can’t go to war on an island.” On Thursday, Shyne, deported last year to his native Belize , responded in a Skype interview with MTV News. “Wow. That’s like an all-time low,” Shyne said. “I didn’t know he was so desperate. He’s gone from confidential informant, witness-protection program dude, getting order [of protection] on muthaf—as. Now he’s a stalker. I was in shock. He called up saying he was ‘Jamal from Harlem.’ He didn’t call up saying he’s Curtis Jackson, Hawaii 5-0. He’s a busta. I can’t believe it. I can’t believe he would stoop to that low. Then again, a guy in the witness-protection program, he has no shame.” Shyne said he wasn’t aware that it was 50 who had called in until after he’d finished his interviews. “You know how it is. When you do these things, you always gotta expect a muthaf—a to call and he might be disgruntled. We took it as another disgruntled person. ‘Cause you know, I don’t know what his voice sounds like. I don’t listen to nothing he do. If we on the yard, and they put his video on, they change the TV in the yard,” Shyne explained, referring to his recently completed prison stint. “I don’t jack that dude on no level. I don’t know what his voice sound like. But somebody at Def Jam caught him. He’s been reaching out to one of my generals in the street begging for peace. He caught his voice too. It was after the fact. “I thought it was somebody who was having a bad day, who wanted to know the situation. It wasn’t until after everything was finished, muthaf—as at Def Jam was like, ‘That was Boo-Boo. That was Hawaii 5-0.’ I was like, ‘No. No.’ Then he put the out, like he was talking reckless. He’s a creep. Any of my comments have been honest comments. These dudes do anything, I don’t give a f—. It never bothered me. The fact that he’s sitting in New York, selling his Vitamin Water, listening to my Ustream. What the f—? You’re stalking me. Go take some steroids. Find something to do.” 50 Cent could not be reached for comment. What do you think of the situation between 50 Cent and Shyne? Tell us in the comments. Related Artists Shyne 50 Cent

Holy crap, what happened to Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson? 50 Cent Looking For New G-Unit Recruits, Including Robert Pattinson?

‘ ‘Twilight’ ain’t no joke,’ the MC tells Mixtape Daily. By Shaheem Reid, with additional reporting by Susan Younis 50 Cent Photo: MTV News The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive It’s been a while since we had Curtis Jackson around these parts in Mixtape Daily. Our fellow Queens native has been on the road for a while, making movies and touring overseas. While hollering at our colleagues at MTV UK, Fif revealed that he wants his Black Magic album to drop before summer is over — oh, and the title has nothing to do with witchcraft. “I don’t believe in voodoo,” he said. “But it’ll be very addictive. The first time you’ll hear it, you’ll remember the songs that’s on there. It’s designed for fun — for listening pleasure. “I’m not in a hurry,” he added about the recording process and release date. “I kind of planned on releasing Black Magic … I gave myself a goal to try and put it out by the end of the summer, so I’ll work that hard on the actual project. If I don’t feel it’s ready by the end of the summer, I’ll just jeep it.” Fif is also going on tour this summer, but said members of his current G-Unit family, including Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo, most likely won’t make the trek. “It’s interesting because they probably won’t be coming with me. In the U.S., Banks has momentum with the first single off his new album, ‘Beamer, Benz or Bentley.’ So he’ll be out [on his own tour] with H.F.M. 2 (The Hunger For More 2). While he’s doing that, it probably wouldn’t make sense for Yayo to come with me because his record is almost done now — he should use that time to complete his record and release it shortly after. But I’ll be running around.” No Banks or Yayo, but Fif says he will not be alone — he’s recruiting new members to his camp now. “You’ll see new faces, because I’m looking for new artists now. I’ll sign new artists and take them with me and kinda groom them. I don’t specifically say, ‘I want this kind of artist’ — I look for talent that inspires me, that complements what I do with their own thing. Some of the stuff you can’t teach a person; they gotta have it.” While 50 didn’t name any specific prospects, but did say he wouldn’t mind adding movie heartthrob Robert Pattinson to the Unit’s fold. The star of the “Twilight” franchise (50 said he’s seen “New Moon”) has dabbled in singing in addition to his acting. “Robert Pattinson. He has a big enough following to be the frontline,” 50 laughed. ” ‘Twilight’ ain’t no joke.” What rapper or singer would you like to see join 50 Cent’s G-Unit? Let us know in the comments below!
