GETTY The History Of Wayne And Superhead Lil Wayne’s big hit from his new Carter V album is undoubtedly his “Mona Lisa” collaboration with Kendrick Lamar. The song, about women scammers who do Wayne’s bidding and the complicated relationships that ensue, is one of the best dramas of the year. Kendrick Lamar’s verse about a woman who can’t say no to rappers even as she is in the middle of her relationships, has people thinking back to some of Wayne’s past ladies: namely Karrine Steffans aka Superhead. The infamous video vixen, who penned books about her affairs with rappers, quickly became enamored with the rapper and he felt the same about her. Then Kanye West threatened Beckford to keep Kim’s name out of his mouth. It was all a big drama that seemed to go away. Ready to take a bite out of The Originals Season 2 Episode 3 ? The CW has released a new clip from the upcoming installment, which is titled “Every Mother’s Son” for a very good reason. It will feature Esther inviting her kids over for what has to be the most effed up family dinner in the history of effed up family dinners. The Originals Clip – Let’s Eat! Fans should also be prepared for a flashback that will feature Alice Evans, as well as the introduction of Sonja Sohn as a witch named Lenore. She’ll try to help Klaus, Elijah and Hayley remain one step ahead of Esther, but can she really be trusted? Elsewhere, Elijah will take newly-turned vampire Gia under his wing, but a secret about Klaus’ childhood will be revealed, along with Ester’s ultimate plan for her kids. Kate Gosselin raised eyebrows this week for reasons much different than usual, strutting down the runway at New York’s Fashion Week … yes, seriously. Wednesday night, the always-controversial 37-year-old mother of eight strutted her stuff during Derek Warburton’s Real Fashion, Real Runway show. Here’s a toned, tanned Kate a one-shoulder white dress … think she’s got what it takes to be a runway model? Think Jon is kicking himself right now? Despite the fact that all proceeds benefited Bottomless Closet, an organization that helps lower-income New York women become self-sufficient and provides them with business attire, many people took issue with Kate Gosselin modeling in the show. “We have all been in Twitter wars about Kate,” Warburton said. “They were attacking us for having her in the show. I responded saying, ‘Listen, we are not paying her. She is doing this out of the goodness of her heart.'” “What’s remarkable is every time we get a nasty tweet about Kate, she writes and apologizes. She doesn’t care about haters, she cares about the charity.” “She must have apologized to me five times for the things people say about her. Designer Shaun Kearney calls collection ‘a modern, wearable approach to something quite opulent.’ By Nuzhat Naoreen, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Cynthia Steffe’s New York fashion week show Photo: Getty Images Fur coats, embroidered belts and sleek hair will be all the rage this fall — if Cynthia Steffe’s New York fashion week show is any indication. A favorite of stars including Anne Hathaway, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Simpson, the designer featured a collection with an array of sophisticated looks ideal for a day at the office or a night on the town. “With this collection, I wanted to do something which was a modern, wearable approach to something quite opulent,” designer Shaun Kearney told MTV News, adding that many of the silhouettes were inspired by menswear. Kearney’s collection included oversized tops paired with trousers and thin belts, as well as formal dresses matched with colored leggings. Fur also dominated the show, as models paraded down the runway in a variety of fur neck wraps — instead of the more traditional scarf — and eye-catching coats. “I was inspired a lot by mixing a lot of luscious, different textures, mixed in with exotic animal prints,” Kearney said. Kearney opted for simple yet sleek hair to accompany each of the looks. “The hair today is much more polished than normal, but at the same time it’s relaxed,” he said. Rapper is walking in Heart Truth show during fashion week to raise awareness about heart disease. By Jocelyn Vena Eve Photo: MTV News Eve will be one of many celebrities sauntering down the catwalk for the Heart Truth fashion show, kicking off this season’s New York fashion week. The Heart Truth aims to shed awareness on heart disease, which is a leading killer among women. This year’s show will feature a number of celebrities, including Audrina Patridge, Camila Alves, Cat Deeley, Denise Richards, Dita Von Teese, Julianne Hough, Katrina Bowden and Natasha Bedingfield, to name a few. When MTV News caught up with Eve recently, she opened up about prepping for the show. “It makes me feel like a lady,” she said of her red David Meister dress. “Which is nice! I want to go to a ball in it! It’s beautiful. I definitely will have to have good posture in this dress. It’s a beautiful dress.” Eve is known for her tough, street-smart style, and she said she wanted to show a new side of herself in the show. “From what I know about David’s dresses, they are very elegant. They are very pretty. I did want to wear something that would sway with me on the runway, just because I’m not a model and I’m not trying to do a crazy walk. I guess this will help me walk down the aisle the right way.” Sure, Eve has graced many a red carpet, but she admits that walking down the runway has her shaken. “I’m ridiculously nervous! I just hope it’s over quickly. You know, I want everyone to see the dress and I want to walk. I don’t want to run down the runway, but I’m scared. I am. I’m stressed, but my mom will be there,” she explained, hoping to not trip and fall like Carrie Bradshaw on “Sex and the City.” “No ‘Sex and the City’ moments, even though she did look fabulous and she got up and kept it moving,” she added. “So if it did happen, then we’ll see.” Related Artists Eve
