Source: Getty Images / Morgan Freeman 33-year old Lamar Davenport has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the murder of Morgan Freeman ‘s step-granddaughter, E’Dena Hines. Davenport reportedly stabbed Hines 25 times while allegedly being under the influence of PCP. However, Lamar’s mother and lawyer claim that Freeman is actually the one responsible for his granddaughter’s death. Page Six reports that as Davenport’s mother was escorted out of the court, she yelled at a reporter: “Morgan Freeman molested her and he caused this. He did this.” According to the Daily Mail : There were allegations during the trial and previously that Freeman was involved in a romantic relationship with 33-year-old E’Dena Hines. Hines had at one point texted Davenport to reveal she had ‘grandpa feelings’. Freeman, 80, has always denied such allegations. Hines is the granddaughter of Morgan’s first wife, Jeanette Adair Bradshaw. Freeman has denied the allegations, and so did Hines when she was alive. Since the fatal incident, several women accused Freeman of inappropriate behavior , leading brands to pull several advertisements featuring his voice. SMH.

Deadliest Catch Captain Keith Colburn has taken to social media in order to acknowledge the three crew members lost in the Mary B II capsizing on Tuesday night. Earlier this week, this crab fishing vessel – which had been featured on Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch: Dungeon Cove – crashed in the Yaquina Bay bar in Newport, Oregon. Three people died in the accident. “My sincerest condolences go out to the family and friends of the Mary B II,” Colburn wrote on social media in response to the tragedy. The Mary B II asked for a Coast Guard escort while crossing the bar, which is when the three fisherman went into the water. The victims have since been identified as James Lacey, 48; Joshua Porter, 50; and the boat’s skipper, Stephen Biernacki, 50. Authorities say crews faced 12 to 14-foot waves as they attempted to rescue those on board. The Mary B II was featured in a past episode of Deadliest Catch: Dungeon Cove , with a newly-found promo of the show revealing just how dangerous the Newport bar truly is. “Located within a mile from shore, this treacherous stretch of water is closely monitored by the Coast Guard,” the promo states, with a fisherman in the clip adding, “This bar could be terrifying.” “That bar [will] kill you,” another crab boat crew member said. “You gotta respect it.” “The river bar is a passageway between two man-made jetties connecting Newport Harbor to the Pacific Ocean,” the promo went on to say, continuing: “Under the surface, water from the harbor flows out, colliding with currents coming in, creating monster waves that can exceed 30 feet. It’s impossible to tell when or where these waves will strike. “If a boat is in their path, destruction is almost certain and survival is rare.” In the wake of this awful development, Discovery has also released a statement that reads: We feel deeply saddened by the news, as we feel part of the crabbing community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families and the entire community during this difficult time. “We did everything we could. Unfortunately, it was just a tragic outcome, and our hearts and thoughts are with the family and friends of the crew,” Petty Officer Levi Reed of the U.S. Coast Guard told a local CBS affiliate. In addition to Captain Colburn, a handful of Deadliest Catch fans have shared messages of sympathy on social media, with one writing: “So sad the Mary B. ll, of the Deadliest Catch capsize 3 died. My heart goes out to family and friends.” In May of 2018, Blake Painter, another Deadliest Catch Caption, was found dead of a suspected overdose . Back in 2015, another Deadliest Catch star, Tony Lara, died at age 50 from a heart attack. Second Black Man Dies At Prominent Political Donor’s Home This one has the makings of a Law & Order: SVU episode written all over it… A Black man has died of an alleged drug overdose inside the Hollywood apartment of Ed Buck, a wealthy and prominent donor to the Democratic party, for the second time within the last 18 months. The as-yet-unidentified man has only been described as a Black man in his 50’s according to KTLA , and at this time is believed to have passed due to a drug overdose. The circumstances of his death possibly signify a disturbing and dangerous habit on the part of Buck, one which has seemingly been costing Black men their lives for the sake of his own pleasure and entertainment. The prior death at his home, that of 26-year-old Gemmel Moore, was also the result of an overdose of methamphetamines that may have been ingested at Buck’s home. Family and friends of Moore claim that he was working as an escort when he visited Buck’s home back in July 2017. Moore’s mother Latisha Nixon claims that she has spoken to other escorts since her son’s death and has discovered that Buck frequently invites young gay Black men to his home and has them ingest near-lethal amounts of narcotics for his own enjoyment. “Ed Buck has been soliciting young gay black men. He has them wear these long white ‘under-johns.’ He takes pictures of them. He hits them up with meth. The more meth that they smoke and inject, the more money that he gives them.” Moore’s death was ultimately ruled accidental and Buck has not been named a suspect in the latest drug-overdose death at his home, as his attorneys claim the man in question was already in a drug-induced state when he arrived at Buck’s home. In the latest example of a resident of the Sunshine State acting like he's several cards short of a full deck, Daniel Taylor was arrested on New Year's Eve for physically assaulting an employee at McDonald's. Not that anyone could really blame the guy. After all, are you aware that one now has to ask for a straw at ths fast food restaurant?!? This really is what set Taylor off, according to witnesses, at least one of whom filmed Taylor got ballistic at a McDonald's in St. Petersburg. Video of the incident, which we've featured on this page, shows Taylor SCREAMING at a young woman behind the counter because, onlookers confirm, he was furious after picking up his order — and not finding any straws in the condiments section. “He was very upset, he started berating her, swearing, saying 'There’s no law like that,'” said the woman who captured this crazy footage, adding of the employee; “She said, ‘Yes it is, we’re not allowed to put straws out.'” The best part of this entire confrontation, as you'll see in the footage, is how the McDonald's employee responds: With fists flying! In the video, other patrons can be heard saying “get the police” and “let her go.” But the employee doesn't seem to need much help. She can fend for herself! That's for sure. “YES this really did happen last night for all those asking me… it all started because he wanted a straw!!!,” read the caption to this video on Facebook. “The young girl said she used to box.” It has been viewed over 3.5 million times to date. According to the arrest report, a drunken Taylor told the cops he wanted “her ass fired,” referring to the employee, of course. The response? “No, you're going to jail,” she said. While being hauled away, meanwhile, Taylor kicked someone else in the stomach! “The defendant was being escorted out of the business by management due to him battering another employee, and causing a disturbance,” the arrest report reads. “The defendant kicked the victim in the stomach while she was standing near the exit door.” We mean, he wouldn't be a Florida Man if he acted calm during an arrest, right?
