Eva Amurri Lashes Out at Critics: Parenthood is Not a Competition!

Earlier this week, Eva Amurri Martino made a startling confession: In a blog post she penned on New Year’s Day, the actress revealed on her website, HappilyEvaAfter.com, that her 10-week-old son Major James, “ cracked his head on the hardwood floor ” after the family’s night nurse fell asleep while holding him. How awful, right? Martino explained what happened and the aftermath as follows: “He suffered a fractured skull and bleeding on his brain, and was transported by ambulance to Yale Medical Center. “I spent two harrowing days with him to receive emergency care and further testing. To say these were the most traumatic and anxious two days of my life is an understatement.” We can only imagine. Our only reaction to this story was to send Eva and her husband our best wishes and our hope that their child makes a full recovery. But some folks out there felt differently. They took issue with Eva having a night nurse in the first place, questioning how she can consider herself to be a responsible parent if someone else is holding, feeding and rocking her baby at home. Why? Because people suck. They think that an Internet connection gives them a right to share every asinine opinion that comes into their head. In response to the incident, her sharing of it and the response it has received, Eva at first showed gratitude to her fans. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has reached out with words of comfort or to share their own stories the past 24 hours,” she wrote on Instagram today, as the opening to a lengthy caption. She continued: “It is so moving to know there are so many of you who are wishing our sweet boy well, and who are rooting us on as a family.” The daughter of Susan Sarandon then addressed her critics. “I’d like to say one thing, which is that Parenthood is not a competition. Nobody gets an award at the end of all of it for doing it the best or most perfect way. “All that matters is how we make our children feel, how we feel about them, and how we feel about ourselves as parents.” Really. Shouldn’t this be obvious? “To those who have expressed judgement, cruelty, and criticism of me, my choices, or my fragility during this time- I’m not going to justify myself to you,” she concluded. “But I sincerely wish that 2017 brings you enough self love and confidence that you no longer feel the need to tear down another person during their darkest moment. “Peace, please. Xx EAM.” She’s a bigger person than we are. We’d have likely used certain words in our reply that our children will hopefully not learn until their teenage years. We’re not above making fun of certain parents out there in a jovial manner. See what we mean below: View Slideshow: 18 Cute Kids Who Deserve Better Parents But when a mother just say at her baby’s hospital bedside for days due to a simple accident? You really need to question her life choices if you hide behind a computer and give her crap after that.

The Bachelor Spoilers 2017: Final Rose Winner CONFIRMED! Who Does Nick Viall Choose?

The Bachelor is just beginning with its January 2 premiere. The magical, journey-ending Final Rose ceremony has already been filmed, however, and customarily, The Bachelor spoilers have already leaked. Raise your hands if you’re surprised … anyone?! Hello? No. By this point,  The Bachelor spoilers  leaking before the season is almost as much of a foregone conclusion as the winners breaking up! We kid … mostly. But the show’s track record is not great. Just saying, people. Anyway, back to the lecture at hand: Nick Viall has finished filming his starring turn as The Bachelor, and we know the outcome. After being rejected by Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe on back-to-back  The Bachelorette  finales, will he finally find love this time? Oh yes. With Nick in the lead role and doling out the roses, it was finally his time (whether it lasts is another story, but we’ll get to that later). Anyway, ready to meet Nick’s final four – and the winner?! 1. Rachel Lindsay from Dallas, Texas. 2. Corinne Olympios of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 3. Raven Gates from Hoxie, Arkansas. 4. Vanessa Grimaldi of Montreal, Canada. Nick goes on hometown dates with these four on the ninth episode of the season. Thanks to Reality Steve , we know how it plays out from there. Hometown Elimination: Corinne Olympios. According to Steve, the Oracle of Bachelor and Bachelorette spoilers, insiders were surprised that Corinne made it as far as she did. Perhaps, then, it wasn’t a shock that her hometown date was the one that didn’t translate to an overnight date and the Fantasy Suite. Steve also notes that Corinne is 100 percent the “villain,” that she wasn’t liked by a lot of the other girls, and will be the talk of this season. Anyway, she’s out. And then there were three … In Episode 10, the remaining women travel to Finland, where Nick probably gets naked with all three once the cameras stop rolling. We kid … sort of. We have no idea honestly. Remember that it’s Nick we’re talking about, though, so it’s fairly likely he’s not opposed to going there with his final trio of girls. At all. Fantasy Suite Elimination: Rachel Lindsay. The first African-American contestant to make the final four (or three) will be a contender to be the next Bachelorette, and for good reason. She will not get engaged to Nick, however. The finale will pit Raven Gates against Vanessa Grimaldi, and well, the rumors were true … Nick Viall is engaged to Vanessa Grimaldi! Weeks ago, we heard that much like Ben Higgins picking Lauren Bushnell and JoJo Fletcher taking Jordan Rodgers, this was a sure bet. Vanessa was his favorite early on, according to the man with all the inside connections, and like Lauren and Jordan, she got the final rose. Now, of course, we don’t know for sure . Until it plays out on ABC, we can’t be 100.00 percent positive that the information above is correct. But we would bet heavily that it is. While the contestants’ romantic futures often fade fast, with a few notable exceptions, The Bachelor spoilers are pretty close to a lock . This doesn’t mean there won’t be drama, of course. You can take it to the bank that ABC promos, tabloids and other fan speculation will hint at various alternate outcomes all winter long. Does Raven actually win in the end? Nick leave both his finalists hanging? Does he get rejected once again in what would be an epic twist? No. Steve is not “worried about being wrong,” which is a telling sign. Speaking of signs, they don’t look so hot for the winning duo’s future. The word on this street is that Nick has been bitten by the Hollywood bug, wants to be an actor and model, and is set on moving to L.A. Doesn’t bode well if you’re Vanessa. View Slideshow: The Bachelor Season 21 Contestants: Meet Nick’s Ladies! How can we be sure they won’t last as a couple before we’ve even seen them as a couple? We can’t. Nothing is set in stone, obviously. Let’s just say that the odds are against it. Despite all the talk that Nick “earned” the job or takes the process seriously, the trappings of fake and finding love on TV are real obstacles. We wish them well, don’t get us wrong. But to state the obvious, based on what we know, we aren’t holding our collective breath for the LIVE TV WEDDING EVENT of the year. What about you, Bachelor Nation? Do you think it can possibly last? Check out the full gallery of contestants above, and tell us if you believe Nick and Vanessa even stand a chance, given his … history: View Slideshow: 7 Girls From The Bachelor Franchise That Nick Viall Has Slept With

Andi Dorfman Called "Slut" on Fox News: Watch the INSANE Clip

The Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman was called a slut on Fox News this week, following runner-up Nick Viall’s TMI reveal on the After the Final Rose special. Still not over her several months after the finale was taped, Nick asked Andi why she “made love” with him if she wasn’t as in love as Nick was – or at all. This became the talk of the finale – more than Andi and winner Josh Murray – and naturally, The Five co-host Bob Beckel slammed the Atlanta attorney for it. “She’s a slut!” Beckel blurted out on the Fox News program. “I’m not kidding you. She sleeps with somebody else and doesn’t tell the other guy about it.” Andi Dorfman Called a Slut on Fox News Co-host Greg Gutfeld seemed to agree, claiming that Andi had no right to tell Nick his awkward, live TV comment was “below the belt,” which she did. “Now all of a sudden he says something honest and you go, ‘Oh, wow, you just stepped over.’ Nothing is private when you do a reality show,” he said. “You’re on a reality show where you’re making out with guys every day .” Fortunately for Andi, co-host Andrea Tantaros jumped to her defense. “Are you kidding me right now?” Tantaro shot back, speaking for all of us. “Excuse me, Bob. You probably sleep with a different woman every night.” Ouch. “Yeah, but I’m not some bachelorette or bachelor,” Beckel retorted, idiotically, as if that has anything to do with the topic or obvious double standard at hand. The Bachelorette Clip – Nick Viall on After the Final Rose Whatever you think of Nick’s remark – which he apologized for – there’s no way: Every Bachelor star save virginal Sean Lowe hasn’t done the same He would be called that vile word if a woman called him out on this While Nick should never have brought this up in that setting (it wasn’t even in Viall’s letter to Dorfman ), one can say he was asking a valid question. He would never describe her in such terms, however, and neither should anyone else. Andi hasn’t addressed the Fox quote, but she did tell E! News: “I’d rather people just talk about us and talk about the happy couple. We did it. We did what [ The Bachelorette ] is all about. We are in love.” Here’s wishing the best for the future Mr. and Mrs. Josh Murray, and for Nick, who should probably try to move on from this embarrassment ASAP: Andi Dorfman and Nick Viall: What Might Have Been 1. Chris Bukowski: Cast on Bachelor Pad!

Chris Bukowski was sent packing by Emily Maynard on The Bachelorette last night, leaving Arie Luyendyk, Jr., Jef Holm and Sean Lowe to vie for her heart. The Bachelorette spoilers we posted earlier today reveal who (allegedly) wins if you’re curious. In any case, Chris will be moving on … to Bachelor Pad! Bukowski, a 25-year-old Chicagoan, decided to join Bachelor Pad 3 and the quest for $250,000/15 more minutes of fame after Emily rejected him. Of that decision, Emily Maynard recently wrote in a blog for People: “I had a hard time sending him home, but wanted to stay true to the promise I made to his sister that I wouldn’t keep him away from his family if I didn’t see him at the end.” Chris will be joining 19 other Bachelor and Bachelorette veterans – as well as five “super fans” of the franchise – on the Monday, July 23 premiere. A month after revealing the majority of the Bachelor Pad 3 cast , ABC finally announced the name of the summer show’s final contestant in Bukowski. Kalon McMahon and Tony Pieper from this season are also in. The Bachelorette season finale and first-ever live After the Final Rose show air on a special night: Sunday, July 22, starting at 8 p.m.
