End Of Days: California Pastor Becomes The Sixth Person To Die Or Suffer From Mysterious Flesh-Eating Bacteria

Sweet baby Jesus help us! California Pastor Dies From Flesh-Eating Bacteria A long-serving and well-loved pastor has been killed by a flesh-eating bacteria infection that has already left five others seriously ill. Linda Snyder, from Sacramento, who is a preacher at city’s United Methodist Church, died this morning following a six-month battle with the deadly germ called necrotizing-fasciitis. She was the sixth person to have developed a flesh-eating infection over the course of the last two months. At the beginning of June South Carolina grandmother Louise Thompson underwent emergency surgery to remove infected flesh from her leg and was in a coma for five days. And last month student Aimee Copeland from Georgia College had to have her leg, her foot and both hands amputated and is still in intensive care after bacteria got into a cut she developed following a fall. Mrs Snyder contracted the deadly disease on January 6 after bacteria got into a wound, possibly an abscess, she had developed in December. Doctors tried to contain the spread of the bacteria, but her daughter Karen told Fox 40 that her mother had developed lots of complications and medical staff were unable to contain it. At this point if we get a cotdamn paper cut we’re goin’ to the hospital IMMEDIATELY! Images via ABC/CBS/AP Source

Chelsea Handler’s Best VMA Moments

Host chases Justin Bieber, mocks Lady Gaga, gets visit from Lindsay Lohan By Kara Warner Chelsea Handler hosting the 2010 MTV VMAs Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images From the self-deprecating teaser promos leading up to the show to her haphazard Lady Gaga impersonation to countless brazen one-liners and a skit involving spontaneous impregnation courtesy of a quick dip in the “Jersey Shore” hot tub, Chelsea Handler nailed her first-time VMA-hosting gig. The sassy and outspoken E! talk-show host kicked things off with a pre-taped video, in which she was repeatedly smacked on the rear at random, as well as given a brutal coaching session from Lindsay Lohan. Here’s a rundown of our fave Chelsea Handler VMA moments: Her entrance/monologue Handler dropped down to the stage amidst a group of dancers, wearing a house on her head and a glittery outfit. Once in place to deliver her opening remarks, she told the crowd: “My plan was to stay sober the entire show, but, in an interesting twist, I am as high as a kite. That’s the last time I do a prayer circle with Snoop Dogg.” Speaking about the fact that the last time a woman hosted the show was Roseanne Barr in 1994, Handler poked fun at some of the nominees’ activities that particular year. “Justin Timberlake was in the Mickey Mouse Club pretending he wasn’t having sex with Britney Spears,” Handler joked. “‘The Situation’ was just a classy way to refer to a teenage pregnancy. And Justin Bieber’s mom had just given birth to her 401k plan.” The Best New Artist 2010 Meet and Greet sketches In another pre-taped video segment, Handler hilariously introduced herself to the Best New Artist nominees, including Ke$ha and Justin Bieber. Handler admitted a bit of a crush on the “Tik Tok” singer, and made the clip with Bieber memorable by accusing the teen star of wearing a wig and chasing him down trying to grab it. Hot tub party with the “Jersey Shore” cast Handler showed she had no problem getting wet and wild. When The Situation hollered out to Handler from their famous hot tub and asked her to join in the fun, she actually walked over and climbed into the tub with JWoww, Snooki and Pauly D. Cut to commercial. When the show came back, Handler complained about feeling disgusting, and when she stood up to get out of the tub, had been spontaneously impregnated. MTV Movie Awards Host Aziz Ansari Gets Advice From Russell Brand, Sarah Jessica Parker, Snooki

Judd Apatow, past Movie Awards host Andy Samberg also give tips — show airs Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on MTV! By Eric Ditzian Aziz Ansari Photo: Robyn Beck/ AFP/ Getty Images UNIVERSAL CITY, California — It might be the biggest night of his life. On Sunday, June 6, at exactly 9 p.m. ET, 27-year-old Aziz Ansari will walk out onto the stage at the Gibson Amphitheatre to host the 2010 MTV Movie Awards . The seats will be filled with Hollywood’s elite, celebs will be frittering to and fro backstage as they await their various show duties, and millions of fans will be watching at home. In short, the pressure will be on … But it’s a job Aziz is ready for. From his co-starring spot on NBC’s “Parks and Recreation” to his improv work on MTV’s “Human Giant” to his creation of bombastic comedian Raaaaaaaandy, one thing Ansari can be trusted to do is make people laugh, and then laugh some more. Still, the guy has got to be sweating a bit as the big day approaches. But luckily he’s got the support of Hollywood behind him, and the likes of Russell Brand, Sarah Jessica Parker and “Jersey Shore” star Snooki weighed in with advice for Ansari. “Hosting — it’s so hard!” said two-time VMA host Brand , not so much offering advice as a stern warning. “You’re there for ages. It’s all the panic, the dress rehearsals, people don’t turn up. It’s difficult.” Parker, conversely, had one helpful tip for Aziz’s body and mind. “I would say have plenty of fluids backstage, perhaps intravenously!” she said. “Jersey Shore” star Snooki — who will be MTV News’ guest correspondent on the Movie Awards red carpet Sunday — had one specific suggestion for the type of fluid Ansari would be wise to imbibe come Sunday night. “Just have a couple shots before you get on,” she said. “You’re probably going to be very nervous in front of all these celebrities, millions of people on TV. Pretty much, just down a bottle of tequila and you’re good. It washes off the nerves!” One man who’s quite familiar with those Movie Awards nerves is Andy Samberg, who hosted the show last year and was not worried about Ansari. “I don’t need to give Aziz any advice,” Samberg said. “He’s great. I think he’s gonna kill it. He’s a friend of mine and one of the funniest dudes I know. I’m really excited just to see it.” Another of the funniest dudes in Hollywood, Judd Apatow, couldn’t let Aziz assume hosting duties without giving him a good-natured ribbing. “He’s a cocky young man,” Apatow said of Ansari. “He’s not afraid. He should be afraid!” Don’t miss the live red-carpet coverage, exclusive movie clips and fist-pumping action on MTV News’ “Jersey Shore Blow-Out at the MTV Movie Awards,” airing live from Los Angeles this Sunday, June 6, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Then stay tuned for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Related Photos 2010 Movie Awards: Promo Shoot With Aziz Ansari Related Artists Aziz Ansari

LL Cool J Releases Michael Jackson Tribute ‘Billie Jean Dream’

Iced-out glove on a Bentley wheel? Picture Michael Jackson rolling. LL Cool J raps from the perspective of the King of Pop on a new freestyle that came out Monday called “Billie Jean Dream (Michael Jackson Tribute).” Giving new meaning to the term ghost writer, one of rap’s all-time greatest MCs tells listeners at the end of the record that the late singer gave him inspiration while he slept.

“The crazy thing is, I had a dream. Michael Jackson wrote that for me in a dream. That’s crazy, right? I had a dream, and homeboy wrote it for me in a dream. I saw it on a paper. I woke up and just jotted it all down on paper. Michael Jackson, that’s for you, baby. I love you.”

In the verse, Cool J raps over Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” beat.

“Number one in the world, imagine how it feels to hit up Sony for a billion on a deal,” the Queens legend rhymes. “Buy out the Beatles, tell Paul to chill / Too live to talk, y’all read it in my will/… There’s one King of Pop, nothing else poppin’ off, comparing him to me, oh, please knock it off/ All of y’all emanating from one source/ Try to imitate it, but you can’t pull it off.

“Hold my umbrella, give me some support,” LL adds. “While I dance on the roof of the truck after court/ Can’t pull me down, I don’t know what y’all thought.”

In addition to releasing the track, the rapper announced a Michael Jackson tribute contest on his Web site, . Fans are encouraged to write their own MJ tribute songs, remix classic Jackson tracks or create music videos, and the winners will be promoted on the site.
