Diesel Thinks It’s A Good Idea To Make Nicki Minaj The Face Of A Cyber-Bullying Campaign. They Are Wrong.

(Photo credit should read ANGELA WEISS/AFP/Getty Images) Nicki Minaj And Diesel Get Dragged Well, someone in marketing is going to be looking for a job soon. The folks at Diesel have decided to put together an anti-bullying campaign using celebrities like Gucci Mane and…Nicki Minaj? Word? Either this is a big prank or one of the biggest mishaps in marketing history. Nicki Minaj has been accused of bullying during her entire career. She allegedly hopped in a woman’s DMs this summer, demeaning her. She’s been accused of sic’ing her army of maniacal fans on people who disagree with her and criticize her actions. She’s been called one of the biggest bullies in the game so this decision is…weird. Nicki is on an entire cyber bully campaign as if she not only got someone fired from their internship & but her fans have been harassing that woman even to this day with death threats, mean comments about her child, & trying to find out her address — diet stud (@dankbonn3t) September 19, 2018 Okay, it’s worse than weird. Take a look at Twitter’s reactions and they aren’t pretty.

The Internship Reviews: Should You Apply?

Their Wedding Crashers quotes continue to make us cry with laughter… but should we line up to go see Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn today in The Internship ? Critics around the nation have chimed in on the comedy, which is now in theaters, with a resounding: HECK NO! Scroll down for rundown of some of the more scathing review… Everything about it feels stale: the actors, the story, the comedy, everything. And, to make matters worse, that everything goes on for an interminable two hours.   – ReelViews [It] would be kind of charming … if this Google-recruitment film, this 119-minute commercial for Googliness, weren’t so downright creepy. – Philadelphia Inquirer A big-studio release that, from start to gaga finish, is a hosanna to a single company, its products, philosophy and implicit politics . – New York Times It’s a blatant, two-hour commercial for a large and powerful corporation, the movie largely misunderstands its subject and it’s not that funny. – EntertainmentTell A movie sorely bereft of ideas, laughs and justification for the comic duo’s undifferentiating self-regard. – Time Out New York

Beyond Black History Month | How Are You Helping Your Community?

Go here to see the original:

Traditionally, we’ve looked at Black History Month as a time to “observe” those who paved the way for the opportunities we enjoy today. However, Black History Month is much more than that. Its a time for us to be ACTIVE in our communities and make every effort to teach and uplift our youth. Coca-Cola is encouraging us to do just that by “Paying It Forward.” Check out my interview with Coca-Cola Assistant VP of African American Marketing, Kimberly Paige, on how you can get involved. Black Swan Interns Seeking Class-Action Lawsuit to Curb Exploitation of Unpaid Labor

“The only thing I learned on this internship was to be more picky in choosing employment opportunities… Black Swan had more than $300 million in revenues. If they paid us, it wouldn’t make a big difference to them, but it would make a huge difference to us.” Recent college grad Alex Footman didn’t pick up many useful lessons during his time making coffee on the set of the Darren Aronofsky Oscar pic, but he and a fellow intern are attempting to change how Hollywood exploits labor does business. Good luck to the little guys? [ NYT via MovieCityNews ]

The Game Off The Hook In ‘Flashcalling’ Incident

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will not pursue charges. By Gil Kaufman The Game Photo: Moses Robinson/ WireImage The Game should be gearing up to finally release his long-awaited CD, The R.E.D. Album , but instead he appeared on CNN on Wednesday night to defend himself against charges that he interfered with police business at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Last week, a message appeared on the West Coast rapper’s Twitter feed asking aspiring interns to ring the sheriff’s station in Compton, leading to a flood of calls that reportedly delayed emergency services . The sheriff’s department was considering filing criminal charges against the MC, but on Wednesday, CNN reported that authorities have decided not to pursue legal action after The Game apologized for the incident. Game (born Jayceon Taylor) made his mea culpa on Wednesday, saying the whole thing was a misunderstanding. “It was a simple mishap,” the rapper said. “I was doing a photo shoot, and it was downtown Los Angeles, and one of my boys picked up my phone and started tweeting random numbers,” he said, not naming the person who allegedly set off the incident. “Whenever his phone is laying around and my phone is laying around, we tweet from each other’s page. That’s what happened.” The sheriff’s department followed up with their own statement, in which they praised the one-time 50 Cent prot

‘Hills’ Most Buzzed-About Moment #8: Heidi Montag Crashes Lauren’s Party

Montag could have cost Conrad her internship when she showed up to the Teen Vogue party uninvited. By Jocelyn Vena Heidi Montag Photo: MTV MTV News is counting down the most buzzed-about “Hills” moments before the premiere of the show’s final season airs on Tuesday, and our #8 moment comes courtesy of the show’s very first episode. When Lauren Conrad began on the show, she was an intern at Teen Vogue just hoping to make a good first impression on her then-boss, Lisa Love. However, her party-girl roommate Heidi Montag just wanted to have a good time and nearly ruined Conrad’s first major assignment at the magazine. During LC’s big task — helping out at the Young Hollywood Party being thrown by Teen Vogue — Heidi showed up looking for a good time, unfortunately at her pal’s expense. Montag showed the world early on that she had a taste for causing trouble. When Heidi showed up unannounced at the event, she caused a scene and almost cost Lauren her internship. Without asking and without approval, she made her way to a section of the party intended only for VIP guests (which the unknown Heidi definitely wasn’t at the time) and even got into a heated argument with her then-boyfriend in front of everyone in attendance at the event. Heidi ended up reconciling with the guy and things went well with Lauren and Teen Vogue, but we can’t say the same for the pair’s friendship — the two famously parted ways, although it would be over Heidi’s future husband Spencer Pratt and not over a party mishap. What are some of your favorite “Hills” moments? Let us know in the comments below! “The Hills: Final Season” premieres Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET/PT followed by “The City” at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
