While attending festivities at Paris Fashion Week , the Invasion of Privacy superstar donned a head to toe outfit that obscured her face and revealed no skin. As captured by the Daily Mail , which incorrectly referred to the outfit as “bizarre” when we’d rather say “fabulous,” the 26-year-old rapper gave tourists taking in the Eiffel Tower quite a show in her outfit, posing in front of the French landmark while also allowing onlookers to snap photos. As said by many an outlet that covered her weekend look, Cardi B is an early lock during Paris Fashion Week as one of the best-dressed thus far. The billionaire, who received an honorary doctorate at Morehouse College on Sunday surprised many by announcing that his family was providing a $40 million grant to eliminate the student debt of the entire Class of 2019. “This is my class,” he said, “and I know my class will pay this forward.” The announcement elicited the biggest cheers of the morning. The technology investor and philanthropist’s gift is believed to be the largest donation ever given to a historically black college & university (HBCU). He had initially donated $1.5 million to the university to help build a new park near campus and to establish more scholarships. Smith is a chairman and CEO of Vista Equity Partners, a software and technology investment firm which he founded in 2000. He is one of the world’s thirteen African-American billionaires and his net worth is believed to be around $5 billion according to Forbes. Source: Raymond Boyd / Getty Professor Praised For Holding A Student’s Baby While Teaching Class Nathan Alexander, a visiting professor at Morehouse College , said he was just trying to help when he allowed a student to bring his infant daughter to his class on Friday, also volunteering to hold the child as he taught. Pictures of the unconventional classroom dynamic have garnered a lot of positive attention on social media, with a lot of people praising Alexander’s efforts to assist the student, Wayne Hayer, when he came to class while unable to find childcare. “I’m not an exception,” Alexander said in a telephone interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution . “We have teachers who (assist students in similar ways) every day.” Alexander said that he initially discussed the idea of the same student bringing his child to class a few weeks back, when Hayer said he couldn’t stay for office hours because he needed to go pick her up. Much t o the surprise of the professor’s, his student took him up on his offer and Hayer arrived to algebra class with his adorable baby girl dressed in a pink outfit. In the beginning of the class, Alexander noticed that Hayer was distracted with watching his child, which is when he offered to hold her, saying, “Hey, I’ll take her so you can take some good notes.” Alexander joined the Morehouse faculty in 2017 and said this was not his first experience allowing a student to bring a child to class. He recalled a student once bringing an 8 or 9-year-old to his class in the past. Nathan explained that these allowances are part of the mission of colleges such as Morehouse, the nation’s lone college for African-American men — men finding ways to help other men. The professor does not have any children himself, but said he believes it’s important to make such accommodations, when necessary, and knows many educators make similar decisions. “Teachers do this in their own way every day,” he said of those in his profession around the country. “This is what they do.” Check out some reactions below from everyone who has been touched by this precious story. More positivity from this prestigious HBCU … Morehouse President Announces #BlackLivesMatter Presidential Dialogue The President of Morehouse College is making national headlines for announcing a #BlackLivesMatter Presidential Dialogue. During the monthly discussion Dr. John Silvanus Wilson Jr. will meet with students to discuss topics including violence against black people and LGBTQA issues. Via Morehouse.edu: Morehouse President Dr. John Silvanus Wilson Jr. has established a monthly discussion group, the #BlackLivesMatter Presidential Dialogue, in response to student activism on the Atlanta University Center Campus. The president will be joined by students and faculty members from Morehouse, Spelman and Clark Atlanta University to talk about issues ranging from sexual assault across campuses, to violence against black people, to a more responsible embrace of the College’s LGBTQA students. “Simply, the design of the dialogue is to have an institutional space for activist talk and action where at the conclusion of each meeting, there will be a tangible action item employed that will demonstrate our community’s understanding of Black Lives Matter issues and needed solutions,’’ Wilson said. “At Morehouse, we want to get this right,” he told students during a discussion held at the Davidson House Center for Excellence, the president’s official residence. That initial discussion was the catalyst for the monthly dialogue, which officially begins in January 2016 and will continue to be hosted at the Davidson House.
