Mike Golic Poses Like Kim Kardashian, Ruins the Internet Forever

Look, we had no problem with the Kim Kardashian nude photo shoot. If that talent-free reality star wanted to make some headlines and feel good about her post-baby body before getting pregnant again, more power to her. Whatever. It didn’t affect us in any way. Until now, that is. Last week, ESPN co-anchors Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic made a bet when the former’s alma mater (Northwestern) played the latter’s (Notre Dame) in football. After Northwestern pulled off the overtime upset, Golic had to come through with his side of the losing wager… which resulted in him re-creating the now-iconic Kim Kardashian Paper Magazine photo. And ruining the Internet everything forever in the process. “We are so, so sorry,” the official Northwestern Sports Twitter account wrote while re-Tweeting the picture above. Really, though, it should be Kim Kardashian who is apologizing. If she had just kept her clothes on, we wouldn’t have already lost our breakfast this morning and our eyes wouldn’t be permanent scarred, either. Thanks a lot, Kim. Kim Kardashian Paper Cover Memes 1. Kim Kardashian as a Centaur Sorry, Kim Kardashian. But you pretty much asked for this with your latest cover pose.

Poor Thang: UConn Baller Shabazz Napier Says He Goes To Bed “Starving” After Winning NCAA Championship

Should student-athletes get paid? UConn Basketball Player Shabazz Napier Says He Goes To Bed Starving He’s one of the best basketball players in the country, and he led his team to victory in Monday night’s NCAA championshi p game. But the University of Connecticut’s Shabazz Napier recently told reporters he goes to bed “starving” because he can’t afford food, despite that UConn’s student-athlete guidelines include provisions for meal plans. Via CNN reports: The remark got the attention of state lawmakers in Connecticut, who are now exploring legislative ways to allow athletes at UConn, a state institution, to unionize — much like athletes are attempting at Northwestern University. Rep. Matthew Lesser said he and other state lawmakers are considering legislation. Unlike at Northwestern, a private institution governed by the National Labor Relations Board, Connecticut law governs whether employees at a public institution can unionize. “He says he’s going to bed hungry at a time when millions of dollars are being made off of him. It’s obscene,” Lesser said. “This isn’t a Connecticut problem. This is an NCAA problem, and I want to make sure we’re putting pressure on them to treat athletes well.” Napier recently called the Northwestern union ruling “kind of great” and said that although he appreciates his basketball scholarship, it doesn’t cover all of his expenses. So, should athletes be getting a cut of the millions that schools and the NCAA receive from big bowl games and championship tournaments? “I don’t feel student-athletes should get hundreds of thousands of dollars, but like I said, there are hungry nights that I go to bed and I’m starving,” he said. Asked whether he felt like an employee — a key distinction cited in the labor board’s Northwestern ruling — the Huskies point guard responded, “I just feel like a student-athlete, and sometimes, like I said, there’s hungry nights and I’m not able to eat and I still got to play up to my capabilities. … When you see your jersey getting sold — it may not have your last name on it — but when you see your jersey getting sold and things like that, you feel like you want something in return.” CNN’s calls to UConn’s athletic department were not immediately returned Monday, though the Huskies played the University of Kentucky Wildcats in the NCAA men’s basketball finals in Arlington, Texas, that night. Connecticut won 60-54, fueled by a game MVP performance from Napier, who had 22 points, six rebounds and three assists. Many people argue that these athletes get a free education in return of their work. But is really a “free education?” These guys have to work more than 40 hours a week playing, traveling and practicing. Plus, they can’t work on the side to earn money due to NCAA rules. Should student-athletes be getting compensated for their work?

Stay In School Kids!: Northwestern University Professor Offers Live Demonstration On The Use Of Sex Toys During Class!

Sounds like a helluva way to “educate” yourself… A Northwestern University psychology professor was in hot water Thursday for an after-class session in which a couple demonstrated the use of a sex toy. University President Morton Schapiro said he was “troubled and disappointed” by the February 21 incident and had ordered an investigation. “Many members of the Northwestern community are disturbed by what took place on our campus,” Schapiro said in a statement. “So am I.” Professor J. Michael Bailey provided his own account of the optional event in his human sexuality course, saying he wants students to learn about sexual diversity and information from “real people.” Students who witnessed the incident had been told repeatedly by a guest speaker what was about to happen would be graphic, the professor said in a statement. About 100 students chose to attend following a larger lecture, affiliate WGN said. The guest speaker at the demonstration had this to say: “We gave them plenty of warning. We had nobody leave at that point,” Melvoin-Berg told CNN Chicago affiliate WLS, adding the demonstration was meant to be educational. “We only got positive feedback, 100% positive feedback during and after. The students were respectful. They were smart and asked good questions, intelligent questions and seemed engaged in the idea of human sexuality,” Of course at least 1 student was a hater: “For me, I’m glad I didn’t see it. It was a little too explicit for me, and if I were in the class, if I would have stayed for the demonstration, I probably would have left. I know a couple of my friends did get up and leave,” student Diana Lorenzini told CNN affiliate WLS. At least one student wasn’t a f**king prude: Brianne Williams, another student, said “Dr. Michael Bailey is one of our finest professors here, and his class is about opening people’s minds up.” The school president goes on to say: “Although the incident took place in an after-class session that students were not required to attend and students were advised in advance, several times, of the explicit nature of the activity, I feel it represented extremely poor judgment on the part of our faculty member,” Schapiro said in his statement. “I simply do not believe this was appropriate, necessary or in keeping with Northwestern University’s academic mission.” These are students, but they are also grown a** people, and if they want to spend time out of class learning how to properly bust one off, then who is the University to complain? C’mon Schapiro, orgasms are good for morale… Do you think there is anything wrong with the demonstration??? Source
