Printed on the inner jacket of the book, in the style of a library lending card, this invitation to share your literary possession gives an instant flavour of what this book is all about. The lending card graphic might look old school, but the digital nature of contemporary collaboration is made immediately clear by the option to create an online code to track your copy of the book as it embarks on it… Read the full story on TreeHugger

Christie Brinkley is the Retired Supermodel Grabbin Tit of the Day

I think the theme of the day, even though I don’t really do themes, is bitches I once jerked off to…except maybe for that Conrad Murray baby momma, but then again I can never keep track of back alley hookers I’ve had my dick inside, so we’ll just pretend that’s the theme of the day, and Christie Brinkley being one of the original supermodels from Sports Illustrated, I figure why not give her a little where is she now coverage… Not cuz I like old bitches, but because old bitches who were once hot are usually desperate, depressed, sad that they lost all they once had, and that makes them easy to bed, cuz for them any male attention gives them feeling of acceptance and appreciation they grew up with….giving you hope that she may bother with you…and hope is really all we’ve got… So here’s Christie Brinkley grabbing her tits…for old times… Pics via Fame

Transforming DIY Player is Your All-in-One Gadget

Images via Yanko Design A cool concept device from designer Shao Wen highlights a feature we love in greener gadgets – upgradability in an all-in-one device. With keyboards that swap in and out, the device transforms from cell phone to media player to gaming device and practically anything else you could want when you want it. While many devices already do this without the need to swap keyboards, they leave out the option for upgrading or replacing only the component that is broken. This concept solves that problem. … Read the full story on TreeHugger

Grayson introduces Public Option Act – Medicare for anyone

Congressman Alan Grayson, (D-Orlando), today introduced a bill (H.R. 4789) which would give the option to buy into Medicare to every citizen of the United States. The “Public Option Act,” also known as the “Medicare You Can Buy Into Act,” would open up the Medicare network to anyone who can pay for it. Congressman Grayson said, “Obviously, America wants and needs more competition in health coverage, and a public option offers that. But it’s just as important that we offer people not just another choice, but another kind of choice. A lot of people don’t want to be at the mercy of greedy insurance companies that will make money by denying them the care that they need to stay healthy, or to stay alive. We deserve to have a real alternative.” The bill would require the Secretary of Health and Human Services to establish enrollment periods, coverage guidelines, and premiums for the program. Because premiums would be equal to cost, the program would pay for itself. “The government spent billions of dollars creating a Medicare network of providers that is only open to one-eighth of the population. That’s like saying, ‘Only people 65 and over can use federal highways.’ It is a waste of a very valuable resource and it is not fair. This idea is simple, it makes sense, and it deserves an up-or-down vote,” Congressman Grayson said. In keeping with the “Grayson style,” the bill is clear and concise. It is only four pages.
