The 2016 MTV VMAs were a bit weird. We didn't have a host, for example, and it resulted in a clunky program that felt thrown together. There's also a good chance Key & Peele ruined their careers forever with that half-assed opening segment. That said, there were a lot of memorable moments during the MTV extravaganza. To wit… 1. Kanye Said WHAT?!? He referenced Amber Rose. And Taylor Swift. And Ray J! Click above to see what we mean. 2. It’s Britney, Bitch! Britney returned to the VMA stage and it was a delight. She may have been down, but she’s finally back. As always, she lip synced her way through her performance, but with such an energetic dance routine, it’s kind of obvious why. Who would have thought Britney would ever return to the VMA stage? Not us. 3. Love for Rihanna? Drake went all out in his glowing speech about Rihanna when presenting her with an award. “She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22-years-old,” Drake admitted, before leaning in for a kiss. Rihanna looked super shy and the two of them hugged it out. 4. Ryan Lochte’s Apology Jimmy Fallon has always been great when he acts like a celebrity. You can only imagine his delight when he got to act as Ryan Lochte. It was full of zingers. Michael Phelps even enjoyed it. His best moment was when he addressed which video was best. “I couldn’t tell you even if there was a gun to my head.” 5. Rihanna’s Long Ass Show Rihanna fans were treated to four performances from the superstar. Four is a bit much, but they were all very great performances and she didn’t stop to cry half way through. Who knew Rihanna would essentially perform her current tour at the VMAs? 6. Ariana & Nicki’s Workout Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj performed their new song at the VMAs. It was pretty crazy, but did they really need to turn it all into a workout? There is such a thing as too far and these two most definitely went there. View Slideshow

Kanye told E!online that he would hope that Kim saw his shows and think he was just cool enough to be her man… “Her [spirit] was there even before she was my girlfriend,” Yeezy told E! News’ Ken Baker. “I would do these performances and hope that she would see me in my cool outfit and think that I would be cool enough to be her boyfriend.” And it looks like he’s carrying that inspo over to his latest tour. Kanye has debuted a totally new type of performance stage for the Saint Pablo tour… Via E!News : But his tour setup, in which Kanye stands on a small platform and rise above everyone instead of performing on a static stage, didn’t just happen over night—it took about 10 years start to finish, according to Kanye, but less time to see it to fruition. “At least eight months of planning for this,” he told E! News’ Ken Baker. “Traveling around the world and meeting with the best stage designers on the globe and having the best stage designers.” But it was all worth it because he had a very specific idea in mind for his fans. “I just wanted people to get into it and have a fun time. Make it not be just about watching the artist but people watching their friends and singing along with the lyrics and just being able to see themselves and their outfits,” Kanye explained. “Take the concert experience to another level. It’s not just about what you’re seeing on the screen or what you’re seeing me doing up on the stage, but what you and your friends are doing.” “I want people to come to the Pablo shows and know it’s just going to be the best time they’ve had in their life,” he added. I guess Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson are best friends – not that these kinds of people have any feelings besides self love – but they can pretend they are best friends because they are actors and can pretend that only they understand each other – you know overpaid not quite hot enough to deserve all the attention they get – but they probably don’t realize that…in their delusions and constant feedback by the parents who made them and their careers…both being in the industry from a young enough age to have parents who robbed them of their youth…coupled with an insane amount of executives who pay them and suck up to them and market them – because they make exponentially more money than they do on their performances…but they don’t know that, or care, because they always had money – and have lots of money – so it’s like not having money at all..it doesn’t exist to them…. They are so egotistical, self involved, they don’t even need to get in bikinis at their beach media event for the paparazzi, they can show up in blankets because they are just that fucking important..too good for fucking bikinis, and in Benson’s face, probably too fat… I prefer girls who are less lazy and comfortable – who are getting in bikinis in the Midwest on a Sunny Day in March to get that bikini selfie for their instagram – that magical bikini pic that will open all their doors for them – like they were some other slut like Em Rat Cow – who went from naked fame hungry whore – to black dress at the CFDA last night ….dreams do come true…but once they do, all these bitches get lazy. Fresh off his first place win earlier this week on Dancing With the Stars , Nyle DiMarco is already considering another turn in the spotlight. It would appear that reality TV really is his bag, as the former America’s Next Top Model winner is already contemplating joining The Bachelor . “I mean, I don’t know. Let’s see if they reach out to me and see what happens,” the star, who is deaf, told Us Weekly . “We’ll see what happens,” he added. “I think it’s funny because it would be kind of awkward to have an interpreter involved during the whole thing.” Aww, that could be cute to see the contestants try to learn sign language, like that scene in Four Weddings and a Funeral when the cute deaf guy asked the girl to dance and she signed, “That would be mice.” But DiMarco makes a good point: “[The fantasy suite] would be a triangle,” he joked. Could DiMarco be the first deaf, sexually fluid Bachelor? Prior to his mirror ball trophy win, the handsome star dedicated his final DWTS performance to the deaf community, particularly hearing impaired children. “There’s about 70 million deaf people in the world and only two percent have access to education and 75 percent of parents don’t sign to their deaf kids,” he said. “The show has made me realize how I can impact other lives,” he continued. “It’s not really about me.
