Mariah Carey Dumped: Who’s the Diva Splitting With Now?

Another one of Mariah Carey’s relationships is over. Only this time, it’s a professional one. Carey’s longtime publicist, Cindi Berger, has split from the singer after 15 years of working together. Berger confirmed her split from Carey to Page Six, stating: “I have enormous respect for Mariah. She is one of the great talents and voices of our time, and I wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors.” She added that although they will no longer be working together, there was nothing acrimonious about their parting of ways, and they remain on good terms: “I care very deeply for her personally, but I felt that professionally it was time for us to move on.” Berger is the Co-Chairman and CEO of powerhouse publicity company PMK•BNC. Carey, who recently split up with Nick Cannon after several years of marriage, has already signed with The Chamber Group, according to E! Online.  The diva is about to start a residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on May 6. Angelina Jolie is not married, she says, despite a curious ring switcheroo. The actress sparked speculation when she swapped her $500,000 diamond engagement ring for a simple gold band during a humanitarian trip to the Congo. This was logically done so it wouldn’t get lost or stolen , but given that this is Angelina Jolie, speculation ran wild that she married Brad Pitt on the down-low. Not so. She denied this personally yesterday, which means one thing: Across the U.S., gossip magazines still have endless subject matter.

Justin Bieber Talks New Album, Confirms Mariah Yeater-Inspired Track

In case you’ve been trapped in a cave without Internet access for the past few weeks, Justin Bieber’s new album came out TODAY. It’s available RIGHT NOW. We won’t be offended if you run off and purchase it. Are you back? Okay. Good. In promotion of “Believe,” Justin called in to Ryan Seacrest’s radio show this morning and addressed a number of topics, first confirming that, yes, he did pen the track “Maria” after the Mariah Yeater baby scandal. “I couldn’t really talk about it when it was happening,” Bieber said of the tabloid circus. “Every interview I was like: ‘I can’t really talk about it.’ So, to be able to actually talk about it on the album is really awesome.” Why include the song on the CD? “People didn’t forget about it, it was still in the headline news. So, to be able to talk about it and really say my side of the story and really just express myself, I feel like that was the best way to do it.” Among many other subjects discussed by the Biebs… Which of his two fragrances does Selena Gomez like best? “I think she might like Girlfriend. I think my fans needs to go out and check it out and see what they think.” How has he remained so successful? “I always want to prove people wrong, of course, when people see someone come up so fast, and so young, singing pop music, they think how long can this really last? But, I was 15 when I recorded ‘Baby.’ So, I was young and I’m growing and I’m evolving and I’m changing. I have so many great mentors that I’m looking up to, to just help me be the best that I can be as an artist. I don’t see myself going anywhere for a long time.” Does he really have a studio in his van? “Yeah, it’s basically not for singing, but for me to make tracks and stuff, like a keyboard, and Logic, which is the program to make the stuff with.” Who are his influences? “I look up to different people as far musically, like Michael Jackson is someone who I look up to, but as far as in my personally life my mom is someone who I also look up to. You Don’t Even KNOW Britney Spears

Think you know Britney Spears? In an interview with Pop Justice , the star says that you probably do not – and the real Britney Spears is a lot LESS interesting than what you likely imagine. She opens up about bedtime (10:30 p.m.), her gray hairs (or lack thereof) and what she’d be doing if she weren’t famous (“probably a teacher”) and more. When it comes to Britney the real person, as opposed to the pop star, Spears believes most people only know about “half” of what makes her who she is. “I can be pretty guarded with my personal life and I’ve learned that’s okay,” she says. “Your personal life is your personal life, and should stay private.” Keeping people guessing, she says, is part of her job. “Sometimes it’s our secrets that define us,” she says. It’s no secret Britney Spears has had a wild life. So what would she do if her boys – Sean Preston, 5, and Jayden James, 4 – pursued pop stardom? “I’d definitely keep an eye on them,” she says. “But if that’s what they really wanted to do then I’d let them go after it. I’d just be very protective.” “I wouldn’t want them to go into it feeling fearful, and also nobody can really prepare you for this and what you experience,” says the 29-year-old. “I’d just have to trust their instincts and help guide them.” Learning to trust her instincts was hard for her personally. “The biggest mistake I’ve ever made [was] to not trust my instincts,” she says. “It’s just about listening to your gut in different situations. Ailing Usher Cancels Concert During Concert

This is worse than the time he got kicked in the face . Usher canceled a concert in Berlin, Germany yesterday after coming down with what is being called an upper respiratory illness, according to the singer’s rep. That’s too bad and we wish him a speedy recovery. The odd thing about it, though, was that he was on stage at the time he determined he could not sing. Ush, who has now canceled two subsequent shows as well, ended his concert early on a subdued note, apologizing to his fans for having to pull the plug … Usher Live in Berlin “After consultation with doctors, he has been advised to reschedule the dates in order to get the rest he needs to ensure a complete recovery,” his rep said. Usher personally released a statement adding, “I deeply regret having to reschedule the shows. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience I have caused my fans.” “My fans are the best in the world and I am looking forward to getting better so that I can give them all the show they deserve.”

Lauren Conrad Models New Clothing Line

Lauren Conrad has designed a new clothing line for Kohl’s , and the pieces look really cute to us. Especially with her personally modeling them in the pics below. The first wave of the LC Lauren Conrad Fall 2010 collection is expected to hit stores this month, with more items making their way into the chain by September. We’ve missed her ever since she retired from The Hills (as has Heidi Montag ), but we respect her so much for it. No sense staying on that sinking ship, right? Between her successful novels and fashion designing endeavors, she’s managed to do what she loves and live a more normal life. Kudos to LC for that choice!
