Bow Wow Body-Shames Wendy Williams, Gets DESTROYED on Twitter

Wendy Williams is no stranger to body-shaming from has-been rappers. Weeks ago, 50 Cent shared his lame opinion about her skinny legs . Now, it’s Bow Wow’s turn as he mocks her entire body. Wendy hasn’t even had to clap back herself — Bow Wow’s own fans are putting him in his place. Bow Wow found a generally flattering photo of Wendy Williams in a bikini and posted it to social media. “They say its a hot girl summer,” he wrote shadily — implying that Wendy is nothing of the sort. In case anyone thought that he was paying a sincere compliment, Bow Wow’s emojis left no doubt. His first emoji showed a face laughing to the point of tears. The second emoji showed a caution symbol.  The third emoji showed a face wearing a mask, as if to keep out illness or allergens. The fourth showed a face green with nausea. Followers were quick to clap back at the needlessly cruel shade. “If his 1/10 self doesn’t stop…Wendy is living unapologetically and doing HER,” replied one concerned follower. “She’s freshly out of turmoil,” the comment continued. “And you can tell that it’s been rough on her.” “But she’s HERE!” the comment concluded. “He should do the same.” That’s a fair and passionate defense. “When it’s short boy summer we’ll ask for your opinion,” dismissed another comment. Bow Wow is only 5-foot-7. But hey, we were all 5-foot-7 at some point, even if for some of us, it was in middle school. “If putting down a older sick woman makes you feel good,” accused another follower. “It says more about you than her.” “Let shade him for that bald spot he got,” suggested another. Another pointed out that Bow Wow should be a better role model for 8-year-old daughter Shai Moss. “You literally have a daughter…body shaming aint the move,” suggested a fan. So why did Bow Wow decide to pick a fight with Wendy in the first place? (We know that general misogyny rarely needs an excuse, but clearly this was not entirely random) During a recent club appearance, Bow Wow referred to his ex-girlfriend, Ciara. In addition to calling her a “b–ch” to the entire room, he boasted about “having her ‘first.'” Wendy may not exactly be a champion of women everywhere, but she laid into Bow Wow over that. “But to be shirtless in a club and calling her a b–ch … you are so wrong for that,” she excoriated the 32-year-old rapper. Even many years after a breakup, he owes Ciara more respect than that. Clearly, Bow Wow did not enjoy being told what he can or cannot say about his ex. But even before that, Wendy had already gotten the upper hand. Citing an older photo of Bow Wow and Ciara, she pointed out that her staff had noticed him standing on his toes to look taller. Even then, he was still noticeably shorter than his then-girlfriend in her heels. Now, maybe Bow Wow was fair to take a shot at Wendy’s body since she pointed out his height first. But … she really just pointed out his height insecurity. She laughed because he was standing on his toes, not because he is short. And shaming a man’s height does not have the same impact as shaming a 55-year-old woman’s bikini body. It would be nice if people were kinder to each other. Less entertaining, but nice. This Is Us Spoilers: Everything We Know About Season 4!

This Is Us is one of the most popular shows on the air.  It's one of few shows that can simultaneously makes audiences laugh and cry.  Indeed, a series that follows a family over various decades may sound boring, but This Is Us has already proven to have staying power — it's been renewed for the next THREE seasons! As we look ahead to the show's fourth season, we've rounded up all of the information we know about it below.  Oh, yeah: SPOILER ALERT!!!!!! 1. What the Eff is Going on with Rebecca? This Is Us Season 3 concluded with an elderly Rebecca in a bad way. She was not recognizing her son, Randall, leading to concerns from fans that she was about to die. “Possibly this is someone near the end of their life experiencing a lack of awareness and confusion that comes with extreme old age,” showrunner, Elizabeth Berger tells Glamour. 2. Rebecca Is Probably About to Die The beauty of This Is Us spanning decades is that even if Rebecca dies in the future, Mandy Moore will remain part of the series. “I think it definitely feels like Rebecca is very near the end of her life and that her passing is imminent, and that’s why everyone has decided to descend upon Kevin’s house,” showrunner Isaac Aptaker said. 3. Nicky Changes His Ways Nicky’s life was all over the place during the show’s third season. The family tried to help him get sober to give him the best quality of life. Things took a turn when it was revealed that he had changed int he future and was right by Rebecca’s side. “We’re seeing a guy in a better place than when we last left him,” Aptaker says. “The fact that he aged really well shows he’s in a much better place mentally and physically than when we left him in that trailer.” 4. Miguel is MIA (For Now) Miguel was ominously missing from the flash-forward, but don’t expect his fate to be revealed during This Is Us Season 4. His fate will not be revealed until This Is Us Season 5 or 6. Yikes. 5. Melanie Liburd as Kim – This Is Us It was reported following the third season finale that Melanie Liburd was bowing out as a series regular, but her storyline is not over. “We love writing for her, so we’re always going to be looking for ways to bring her back into the story and into the fold,” Aptaker says. “But we will not be watching week-to-week storylines between her and Kevin next year.” That makes sense given that she and Kevin broke up. 6. Is Kate Dead or Alive? Kate’s fate has been the topic of many conversations among fans, but we may be waiting a while for answers. “I think it’s wide open at this point what has become of Kate,” Berger says. “I can’t promise next season,” Aptaker says. “But we know that in terms of the rank of people’s burning questions, that one is probably working its way up there. We’ll be mindful of that.” View Slideshow

Al Matthews Dies: Actor Famous for "Aliens" Role Was 75

Actor Al Matthews, best known for his memorable role in the film  Aliens , has died. The iconic actor had retired to Spain, which is where he passed away. He was 75. 75-year-old Al Matthews passed away at his home, according to Spanish newspaper El Pais . Matthews’ home was located in Orihuela Costa, in the Spanish Mediterranean province of Alicante. He had retired to Spain in 2005. Responders found Matthews when a neighbor called emergency services. An autopsy is expected for the late actor. Matthews is, of course, best known for his role as Gunnery Sergeant Apone in James Cameron’s 1986 classic, Aliens . In the science fiction film, he starred alongside living legend Sigourney Weaver. He delivered a truly famous line. “Alright sweethearts, what are you waiting for, breakfast in bed? A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm,” he said on screen. The quote continues: “Every meal’s a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I love the corps!” That may have been Matthews’ most famous role, but was far from the only one. In fact, he appeared in over 30 films. Matthews portrayed a fire chief in Superman III . He played General Tudor in the cult classic The Fifth Element . He also enjoyed success in the United Kingdom, where he had a role on the UK series, Grange Hill . And speaking of his work across the pond, in 1975, his song, “Fool,” reached #16 on the UK Singles chart. Despite his retirement, Matthews reprised his legendary role as Sgt. Apone in the 2013 video game,  Aliens: Colonial Marines . Perhaps part of what made Matthews’ role in Aliens so iconic and powerful — aside from his acting skills — was that he had been a real life marine in Vietnam. “I spent six years in the United States Marine Corps;” Matthews shared on his personal website. “I hold thirteen combat awards and decorations, including two purple hearts.” He reveals: “I was the first black Marine in the 1st Marine Division in Vietnam to be meritoriously promoted to the rank of sergeant.” That is one hell of an achievement. His website blurb concludes: “I served with Kilo Battery, Fourth Battalion, 11th Marines, 1st Marine Division, of that I am very proud.” Rest in peace, Al Matthews. Because they believed Spielberg killed the creature for sport, obviously. Jurassic Park , based on the Michael Crichton book of the same name, tells the story of a man who utilizes ancient dinosaur DNA to bring them back as a tourist attraction. Needless to say: That was a bad idea in the book/movie, as those fools ran amok No actual triceratops has been sighted in 65 million years You wouldn’t know the latter if you read people’s Facebook feeds this week, though, after humorist Jay Branscomb posted the photo with the caption: “Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a Triceratops he just slaughtered. Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man.” Cue the online furor from people not realizing he’s kidding, or that dinosaurs went extinct a while back. Maybe Kendall Jones is still fresh in their minds? The rant pasted onto the photo above says it all. As do these people: “Steven Spielberg, I’m disappointed in you. I’m not watching any of your movies again ANIMAL KILLER.” “Disgraceful. No wonder dinosaurs became extinct. Sickos like this kill every last one of them as soon as they are discovered.” “He should be in prison.” “He should be killed instead.” “Beautiful creature innocently living millions of years ago then this monster comes along.” Soon enough, it took on a life of its own, spawning all manner of jokes, Spielberg references and vitriol … from haters and haters of those who believed this was real. Power of that P… Paula Broadwell Is David Petraeus’ Mistress CIA Director David Petraeus’ steamy extramarital affair led to his shocking resignation. Can ‘American Idol’ Soar Again? Experts Weigh In

In season 11, show faces increased competition from ‘The Voice.’ By Gil Kaufman Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson on “American Idol” Photo: Michael Becker / FOX Back in the day when “American Idol” was the lumbering 800-pound gorilla of the reality-singing-competition world, it was hard to imagine a time when the top-rated show on TV could ever be toppled. But like any smashingly popular series that eventually loses some of its luster (see “Lost,” “Deal or No Deal” and “Two and a Half Men”), this year, “Idol” is facing a turning point of sorts. Still a ratings juggernaut, season 11 of the show will launch Wednesday night in an atmosphere ripe with other singing shows that could start nipping at its heels. “For nine years, ‘Idol’ had the entire airwaves to itself with lesser rivals like ‘Nashville Star’ … [but now] the world feels much more cluttered with singing shows,” said veteran entertainment journalist Richard Rushfield, author of “American Idol: The Untold Story.” Among the shows Rushfield pointed to are former “Idol” judge Simon Cowell’s recently concluded “X Factor,” NBC’s “The Voice” (which launched in late April last year but will debut after the Super Bowl on February 5) and NBC’s Broadway musical drama “Smash,” which stars “Idol” alum Katharine McPhee and Debra Messing (February 6). Even with all those shows competing for eyeballs and threatening to create singing fatigue, Rushfield still feels “Idol” has a good chance of continuing its ratings dominance. “This year, after ‘The Voice’ and ‘X Factor,’ I think it’s really clear what slice of the pie ‘Idol’ has and that they’re all very different shows going after very different audiences,” he said. “‘Factor was making a very deliberate attempt to position itself as young and contemporary for an audience more open to an edgier, harsher show, and ‘Idol’ has doubled down on being the middle-American, older, feel-good, soft, nonthreatening show.” While ratings did continue their slow decline last year, “Idol” remained the overall champ, even as some critics complained about the sometimes too-sunny face put on by new judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez. As “Idol” prepares to bombard viewers with eight audition episodes featuring the predictable mix of potential stars and wackadoodle nobodies over the next month, Village Voice music editor Maura Johnston suggested perhaps it’s time the show’s runners take a look around and tweak the formula. “One thing the success of ‘The Voice’ speaks to is that people want the action to start earlier,” she said of the two-and-out round of blind auditions held by the competing show last season. “The audition episodes on ‘Idol’ get ratings … but at the same time, it’s grueling. ‘The Voice’ was so exciting because they put the competition and head-to-head stuff in so early.” Ratings history has shown that as programs like “Idol” continue on into their double-digit years, their audience invariably get older. The show has also failed to launch another superstar on the rank of winners Kelly Clarkson or season four’s Carrie Underwood, with last year’s winner, country teen Scotty McCreery, becoming the first platinum-selling champ since season seven’s David Cook. With “The Voice” and “X Factor” both putting a more musically and racially eclectic roster of winners and top finishers in the mix, is this the year the “four cute white guys in a row” factor might catch up with “Idol”? Johnston doesn’t think so. “One thing ‘Idol’ is speaking to over the past couple of years is the hunger among a certain demo for male pop singers who aren’t operating in a hip-hop idiom, but in a more guitar-centric way,” she said. There was a fear that with main meanie Cowell gone, viewers might turn their backs en masse at the sunshiny vibe of Tyler and Lopez, but Rushfield said that “Idol” could end up like such perennial ratings-getters as the World Series, sticking around year-after-year through ratings booms and busts. “It could lose two-thirds of its audience and still be a strong hit show by contemporary standards,” he said. “They found their most successful singer in half a decade, so you can’t look at it as on the course of decline. [With Tyler and Lopez] it also has new life, but the only question is … is there just singing-competition fatigue?” Get your “Idol” fix on MTV News’ “American Idol” page , where you’ll find all the latest news, interviews and opinions. Jim Carrey ‘Comes To Play’ At Movie Awards Again

He’s come as a hippie, a cult leader and a nervous star with an audible inner monologue — so what will he do on Sunday night? By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Jim Cantiello Jim Carrey at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards Photo: Getty Images Jim Carrey’s appearances at the MTV Movie Awards are the stuff of legend. Who could forget the time he showed up dressed as a Jim Morrison-esque hippie when he won for Best Male Performance in 1999, drinking and smoking all night? The funnyman is back again this year, and supervising producer Jane Mun promises that this appearance will live up to Carrey’s rep for unpredictable hilarity. “Jim Carrey is the most-nominated MTV Movie Awards star,” Mun shared with MTV News. “Jim Carrey always comes to play. And he will be playing this Sunday!” The actor would only give some outlandish hints about what he’d be wearing for his latest appearance. “I’m wearing a suit that I’ve had made,” he told us. “It’s the latest in nanotechnology, so I’m able to project whatever I want on it.” Carrey and the Movie Awards go way back. He won his first prize back in 1995, Best Kiss for smooching Lauren Holly in “Dumb and Dumber.” In 2006, when he won the Generation Award , he donned a cultish white gown and was followed by dozens of people dressed as angels as he accepted his award from Will Ferrell, who called the star “brilliant” and a “talented son of a bitch” thanks to his versatility in the world of film. Carrey joked of his rank as the biggest winner of all time. “Why am I so blessed?” he asked onstage that year. “Why is my life so miraculous? Why do so many struggle with fame while I’m able to float effortlessly on the upper edges of the Hollywood status-phere? You like that word ‘status-phere’? I made it up last night. I made up a word.” When he won for Best Comedic Performance in 2009 for “Yes Man,” he “accidentally” shared his inner monologue instead of a planned speech. “I was choking in front of the world … in front of the good-looking kid from ‘Twilight.’ ” So, what exactly will Carrey be up to when he takes the stage this year? Mun teased, “He is going to be dressed to the nines with something else.” While there are many folks lined up to present at the show, Carrey is bound to be a highlight of the evening. Other attendees include Emma Stone, Generation Award winner Reese Witherspoon, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Selena Gomez, Cameron Diaz, Leighton Meester, Katie Cassidy, Shia LaBeouf, Patrick Dempsey and Josh Duhamel, and many more.
