According to CNN , cheated former Georgia gubernatorial hopefully Stacey Abrams will deliver the Democratic response to Donald Trump’s State of the Union Address. Now that Trump has ended his petulant government shutdown, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is allowing him to give his lil’ speech on February 5. It is reported that Senator Chuck Shumer called Abrams to ask if she would be willing to speak for the party about three weeks ago. Over the weekend, the rapper announced that he has acquired a recently-closed location of the burger chain Bud’s Broiler, which he will be rebranding and relaunching with his own fixings. “The Ink dry is dry so now I can talk about it,” Curren$y wrote in the caption of his Instagram post on Saturday while posing in front of the restaurant. “For years me and my loved ones have pulled up to this historic location near City Park to enjoy a tasty burger… recently the place went up for sale…. I was considering purchasing a dawn and a Bentley…. instead I bought a business….. now it’s time to remodel and rebrand… #lifeburgerNola coming soon… @mousa504 we gotta bust another move cuz I still want the Bentley and the dawn tho haha” According to a report published by NOLA.com , a court order forced the former restaurant to close in December after a legal dispute over the franchise agreement between the location’s then-owner and the burger chain’s parent company. Fast forward to current day: the name Life Burger LLC was registered on Friday, January 25 by Mousa Hamdan—Curren$y’s longtime manager and business partner. According to the report, Spitta plans to both remodel and rebrand the building quickly, with Hamdan adding that a meeting this week will determine the actual opening date for the new digs. This brand new business venture is a great start to the rapper’s 2019, who had some pretty notable experiences back in 2018, too. The biggest news last year was Curren$y welcoming his first child with his girlfriend back in November. Career-wise, he also released various projects including Fetti , his long-anticipated collab album with Freddie Gibbs. Source: Joshua Lott / Getty Chance The Rapper Donates $400,000 To Chicago Mayoral Candidate After giving a vocal endorsement of Chicago mayoral candidate Amara Enyia back in October, Chance The Rapper is making his support known in a much bigger, more expensive way. The Chicago Sun-Times reported on Wednesday that Chance donated a whopping $400,000 to Enyia’s campaign. the Chicago native has hosted fundraisers for Amara within these last few months, but this is the first time he has personally donated to her run for office. Camonghne Felix, a representative for Enyia, said the money will go to keep the momentum going and help them galvanize people to get engaged in the political process. “[The donation] means that we’ll have more flexibility than we’ve had before in our efforts to mobilize, get people engaged and connect with communities that have been disillusioned with politics,” she said in a statement. “It’s the collective power of their voices and votes that will win on Feb. 26—not the power of money.” Chano explained why he’s backing Amara Enyia last October during a rally at City Hall. “I want to work with somebody that’s about change,” he announced. “Somebody that’s about our community. Somebody that’s about equality. Somebody that’s about fairness. And the one person in my research of this wide-open race [whose] views align with me would obviously be candidate Amara Enyia.” As far as Chicago goes, Chance isn’t the only rapper who has donated to Enyia’s campaign. Kanye West donated $200,000 in total to her cause; the rapper donated $73,540 to Enyia so she could pay off fines for not properly filing quarterly campaign finance reports during her 2015 mayoral campaign, later donating another $126,460.

According to a new report, the rapper would like a Fix My Life “do-over” when he’s released from prison later this month and Vanzant is open to it. DMX appeared on Vanzant’s show back in 2013. When the life coach sat down with X and his son to try and discuss the rapper’s drug addiction , all hell broke loose. X ended up telling Vanzant to “shut the f*ck up” and more, later telling TMZ “Iyanla set the whole thing up to make me look bad for ratings,” adding, “That lady is toxic…my last words to her were that she can suck my d*ck and she still can.” But it looks like they may be able to work things out after all, as Vanzant says the altercation wasn’t all X’s fault. She told Page Six that X reached out recently. “The last thing I said to [him] was, ‘You will never have the opportunity to speak to me again.’ But that was before I realized that I failed him,” she told the publication. How exactly did she fail him? Vanzant also reportedly told Page Six, “I failed him by not following the Holy Spirit to do what I’m supposed to do. I did what [the show’s] production [team] wanted. However, all of that almost got overshadowed by one Fiji water employee who seemed to be at the right place at the right time on multiple occasions. Kelleth Cuthbert thought she was just doing her job when she made Fiji bottles available to Golden Globes guests on the red carpet. However, because she was so close to celebrities, the cameras caught her in the background for a ton of red carpet photos… And she looked fabulous.
