Hannity, Bozell Take On MSM Ground Zero Mosque Bias on ‘Media Mash’

“This is one of those ever more obnoxious teaching moments that we’re getting from the left-wing press,” NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell complained on last night’s “Hannity” after watching a clip of MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell lament that Americans need to be more sensitive to minorities, not for the “burden” to be on Imam Feisal Rauf to assauge concerns about the planned Ground Zero mosque. Noting that polls show 70 percent of the American people oppose the Park 51 project planned just two blocks from Ground Zero, Bozell argued Mitchell’s complaint is just more evidence of the liberal media’s “worldview that is completely contrary” and out-of-touch with the American public. Besides Ground Zero mosque bias, The Media Research Center founder also reacted to NBC’s Chuck Todd passing along an unnamed “observer” who told him the 2010 midterms would be the “fear” election in contrast to the 2008 “hope” election: If you go back to every presidential campaign, it’s always fear against hope [in the media’s eyes]….And in the off-year election, it’s the same thing. Look at ’94. It was all about fear. It was all about fear and hatred on the Republican side, and about hope and change on the Democratic side. It’s always this [in the media’s mind]. So this is the pattern. And then he says sources tell him, look, this is the watercooler talking at MSNBC.  To watch the full segment, click the play button in the embed above at right, or click here to download the WMV video file. Hannity, Bozell Tackle Media Bias Surrounding Ground Zero Mosque Issue

The mainstream media are telling us that “it’s the fringe that’s upset” about the Ground Zero mosque, but polling data show “it’s 70 percent of the American people,” NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell noted on Friday’s “Hannity” program. “That means every conservative, every moderate, and some liberals too” think the Ground Zero mosque is in extremely poor taste, leaving only “the far left and people still dropping acid,” who fail to see why it’s controversial, the Media Research Center founder quipped. “If Barack Obama runs on this in 2012, he will make Jimmy Carter look good by comparison…. This is how bad this position is, and everybody understands it except for the press,” Bozell argued later in the “Media Mash” segment. For the segment’s audio, click here to download the MP3. ‘Media Mash’: Networks Celebrate Obama’s Birthday, CBS’s Smith Lobs Softball in Interview

After watching a highlight reel of network news reporters lamenting how President Obama was spending his 49th birthday alone and that the office is discernibly graying his hair, NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell told Fox News viewers last night that the same media outlets ignored how, the day before Obama’s birthday, “The voters of Missouri absolutely crushed, clobbered, masaquered his ObamaCare program by 71 to 29 percent.” Bozell appeared on the August 5 edition of Sean Hannity’s program for the latest installment of “Media Mash,” a look at the media’s most egregious bias of the past week. The second topic in last night’s segment was this doozy from CBS’s Harry Smith: HARRY SMITH to President Obama:  Do you feel sometimes that your administration is not given the credit it deserves? President OBAMA: Yes. “You know, this wah-wah whining has got to stop. What they’re saying is that the media aren’t pro-Obama enough,” Bozell observed, adding: Look, the Obama people have got the political defibrillators out. He’s at 41 percent [approval] in the polls. George Bush didn’t get this low until the second term after Katrina…. They’re in an absolute free-fall. So what do they doing?  First they go to “The View,” and then they go to Harry Smith. It’s a likely progression.  For the full segment, click here for MP3 audio . To watch the video, click the play button on the embed above or click here to download the WMV video file .

Predator control hunters using helicopters slaughter ENTIRE wolf pack in Alaska!

Helicopter-borne Alaskan predator control agents have killed an entire wolf pack from Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve, prompting the National Parks Conservation Association to call for “immediate suspension” of the program near the national preserve. National Park Service officials, meanwhile, are wondering why the shooters killed two radio-collared wolves, as the Park Service had an agreement with Alaska Fish and Game officials that collared wolves would be spared as they were part of a long-term study of wolf behavior in the preserve. “We have meetings set tomorrow with state Fish and Game officials to ask that question,” John Quinley, the Park Service’s assistant regional director for communications and partnerships, said Thursday evening from his Anchorage office. “Basically, ‘How did this happen? You’re two days into the (predator control) program and it’s already gone against the agreement that we thought we had pretty well in place, that was easy to understand.’ We’re interested in how that fell apart so fast.” The four wolves from Yukon-Charley’s Weber Creek pack were killed Wednesday in the Fortymile area on the northwest side of the national preserve, the Park Service official said. “We’ve been studying wolf populations in Yukon-Charley for 16 years and have a long data-set to understand the population dynamics,” Mr. Quinley said. “These wolves are a value scientifically and they’re a value for visitors. Our position has been that we want to do all we can to maintain the naturally functionally ecosystems, which is a value of the Alaska parklands that you don’t find everywhere else.” NPCA officials issued a statement Thursday saying “state gunners in helicopters killed the entire Weber Creek wolf pack from Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve, including two collared wolves from a 16-year National Park Service scientific study.” “NPCA calls for the immediate suspension of the state’s wolf eradication program in and around Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve until the Park Service is fully satisfied that the biological integrity of Yukon-Charley wolf packs can be evaluated and a healthy population of wolves can be ensured,” the parks advocacy group added. (You can read the rest of this article here ) There is simply no fucking excuse for this kind of brutality.

Sarah Palin on the Hannity Show.

What is with the echo? Is she giving this interview from inside of a box? Okay kids the word for today is “desperate”.

Columnist Frank Rich writes that we ignore the Teabaggers "at our peril".

The distinction between the Tea Party movement and the official G.O.P. is real, and we ignore it at our peril. While Washington is fixated on the natterings of Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Michael Steele and the presumed 2012 Republican presidential front-runner, Mitt Romney, these and the other leaders of the Party of No are anathema or irrelevant to most Tea Partiers. Indeed, McConnell, Romney and company may prove largely irrelevant to the overall political dynamic taking hold in America right now. The old G.O.P. guard has no discernible national constituency beyond the scattered, often impotent remnants of aging country club Republicanism. The passion on the right has migrated almost entirely to the Tea Party’s counterconservatism. The leaders embraced by the new grass roots right are a different slate entirely: Glenn Beck, Ron Paul and Sarah Palin. Simple math dictates that none of this trio can be elected president. As George F. Will recently pointed out, Palin will not even be the G.O.P. nominee “unless the party wants to lose at least 44 states” (as it did in Barry Goldwater’s 1964 Waterloo). But these leaders do have a consistent ideology, and that ideology plays to the lock-and-load nutcases out there, not just to the peaceable (if riled up) populist conservatives also attracted to Tea Partyism. This ideology is far more troubling than the boilerplate corporate conservatism and knee-jerk obstructionism of the anti-Obama G.O.P. Congressional minority. (I highly recommend that you read the entire article by clicking the title of this post.) I actually covered some of what Frank Rich writes about the Teabagger movement in my post from January 29th . However he now has the added information provided by the goings on at the Nashville convention and CPAC to flesh out his contention that the group may resort to domestic terrorism to get their voices heard and failing that might even be preparing for an all out civil war. Personally I don’t fear a civil war from these people, but domestic terrorism does not seem a bridge too far for some of these incredibly angry individuals. And if that happens I expect the government to throw Glen Beck, Sean Hannity, and Sarah Palin into prison for inciting violence against their country.

Sarah Palin responds to questions about Teabaggers whilst standing in a Wasilla Winter Wonderland and giving the ghost of Ronald Reagan a handjob.

To paraphrase Reagan a little “There both EASY candidates, and SIMPLE candidates, and I stand before you as both”. Nice to know that if you are NOT a Teabagger you don’t believe in freedom. So I guess freedom from joining a particular movement is not an AMERICAN freedom. Good to know. I should probably write that down. Can I borrow your hand Sarah? “Take over the Republican party Tea Partiers!” Because you know nothing says “democracy” like a hostile take over of a political organization. I do like one of her often repeated statements however “Hey bottom line, we win, you lose.” Perhaps somebody needs to remind her that in the last election Obama won, and she and her and her creepy old uncle lost. And the reason they lost is because when the Republican were in power they damn near destroyed the very foundation of our country. And THAT by the way is what the Teabaggers are really pissed off about, which they could see if they could stop focusing for a minute on the fact that President Obama is a black guy. Does anybody else think that Plain looks a little high strung and agitated? Gee I wonder what could possibly be bothering her? By the way there is really not that much of a delay between the question and the answer when being interviewed in Alaska from the lower forty eight. However if Palin has not had time to write the answers on her hands it takes her an extra few seconds to decide which memorized conservative talking point to vomit forth. “Less taxes!” “Freedom!” “Smaller government!” And if she can’t come up with anything she just licks her botox deadened lips and whispers “Reagan”. That is political porn to the viewers of Fox News.
