(Photo by Nicholas Hunt/Getty Images) J. Cole continues to service the underserved. The Dreamville rapper’s organization has announced their relief efforts for areas that were destroyed by Hurricane Florence. As one of the hardest hit towns by the natural disaster, the K.O.D. rapper has turned his sights to his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina. The Cumberland County destination is still in shambles leaving hundreds to live in shelters. Reports estimate that Florence did more destruction there than Hurricane Matthew in 2016.  Complex has confirmed that Cole’s Dreamville Foundation is providing recovery for those in need. In a Twitter post the non-profit made their plans known for the city. “NC has a special place in our hearts. The impact of Hurricane Florence has displaced families and caused unprecedented damage to Fayetteville. The Dreamville fdn. Is asking for help + share this so we can spread awareness to help the people of Fayetteville”. NC has a special place in our hearts. Tiffany Haddish and Kevin Hart Address Their Haters Before Their New Movie Night School

Read the rest here:

Tiffany Haddish is out here working. Ever since she starred in Will Packer ’s Girl Trip, which was directed by Malcolm D Lee , she’s been everywhere. So when her tv show The Carmichael Show went off the air it was no big deal because she was about to blow all the way up. In 2018 Tiffany will appear in 4 movies, the already released Uncle Drew , Night School which hits theaters this Friday, as well as The Oath and Nobody’s Fool coming to theaters later this year. The saying goes if you ain’t got no haters you ain’t mother effing popping. Tiffany is popping that’s the reason why she has a lot of haters. Haters saying things like she is working too much, she doesn’t deserve her spot or she keeps playing the same character. Well in her new movie Night School she plays a teacher called Carrie, who is trying to earn some extra money to survive in this world by teaching a GED program at night. The movie also stars Kevin Hart , Rob Riggle And Romany Malco who completely steals the show. This movie is just what you would expect from Kevin and Tiffany a silly physical comedy with fart jokes, throw up jokes and a straight roasting session between Kev and Tiff to introduce us to her character. Night School gives us what we love about Tiffany with some brief glimpses at the range of Haddish as an actress. I sat down with Hart, who co-produced this film with Will Packer, and the woman so popping comedic legends are hating on her success. We talked about their hilarious fart scene where I asked Kevin who would he allow to fart in his face. Tiffany suggests Kevin’s wife farted in his mouth before. Hilarious. We also talked about Kevin and Tiffany’s five-year plan after a lot of bad math. For the record Think Like A Man was released in 2012. Lastly, I asked Tiffany how she ignores all the hate she gets and she revealed she got real problems to deal with not to mention how she is cashing all these checks. That’s why she was quiet when Katt Williams spouted off nonsense about her and her career. Of course, they addressed Katt’s comments during their interview with The Breakfast Club , but what about everyone else? Tiffany drops some knowledge and some jokes of course. The interview is perfect to watch just before you go see Night School in theaters everywhere on Friday, September 28th.

Axl Rose Robbed After Paris Concert

Thief reportedly stole three gold-and-diamond necklaces valued at $200,000 after frontman wrapped a Guns N’ Roses show. By John Mitchell Axl Rose Photo: Getty Images Axl Rose was robbed of $200,000 in jewelry after a Guns N’ Roses concert in Paris on Tuesday. The thief reportedly made off with three of the legendary frontman’s gold-and-diamond necklaces. A Paris police spokesman said that the theft occurred during a private gathering after the band’s show at the city’s Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy stadium. An investigation into the incident has been opened by police, who report Rose did not appear to be wearing the necklaces when the theft occurred. The theft is the latest news-making incident to plague the band’s European tour. Fans at Guns N’ Roses’ May 31 concert at London’s O2 Arena were angered when security stopped anyone wearing a T-shirt featuring former lead guitarist Slash and asked them to remove it or be denied entry to the venue. “We were told by the management not to allow anyone into the O2 Arena who is wearing a Slash T-shirt, and we are asking anyone who is to remove it, and if they refuse, they will be turned away,” O2 Arena security told British music magazine NME. Rose is the only original member of Guns N’ Roses that remains in the band and he recently received widespread criticism over his decision to not attend the band’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame . He said his decision was “personal” and not “meant to offend, attack or condemn” any of his former bandmates. However, in a letter posted to the band’s Facebook page, Rose declared that his decision to “respectfully decline my induction as a member of Guns N’ Roses” was principally based on who the Hall decided to induct as members of the band. “I feel we’ve been polite, courteous and open to an amicable solution in our efforts to work something out,” Rose wrote. “Taking into consideration the history of Guns N’ Roses, those who plan to attend, along with those the Hall — for reasons of their own — have chosen to include in ‘our’ induction … and how those involved with the Hall have handled things … [it] doesn’t appear to be somewhere I’m actually wanted or respected.” (Rose was booed in absentia by attendees at the Rock Hall induction ceremony.) Guns N’ Roses are scheduled to play in Moenchengladbach, Germany, on Friday before returning to France for a series of shows in Strasbourg, Toulouse, Clisson, Montpellier and Toulon as part of their European tour, which runs through July 22. REVIEW: Violence is Golden (and a Little Exhausting) in The Raid: Redemption

Despite the late addition of “Redemption” to the title of The Raid , there’s little to no atonement to be had in this stripped-down action movie. These characters are not here to have some kind of emotional journey, they’re here to kick ass. And so much ass is kicked over The Raid ‘s 100 minutes that viewers may feel a little bruised themselves upon exiting, for the most part in a good way — this is a film that serves as a remind of just how wonderfully cinematic violence can be. Written and directed by the Welsh Gareth Evans but set in and populated with actors from Indonesia, The Raid takes place, with the exception of an introductory sequence, entirely inside a decrepit 15-story apartment building in Jakarta. It’s owned by Tama (Ray Sahetapy), an underworld boss who’s set up the structure as a safe house for criminals and drug addicts who rent rooms there when they need to hide out — the cops won’t go near it. That suggests the mission on which our hero Rama (Iko Uwais) and the rest of his elite police force have been sent has more to it than just clean-up — though when the question is asked of why now, it’s quickly dismissed. Armed and under the command of the no-nonsense Jaka (Joe Taslim), the team methodically makes its way up from floor to floor, cuffing room occupants and securing each level, until they’re spotting by a kid who sounds the alarm, and all hell breaks loose. Tama, flanked by his two lieutenants Andi (Doni Alamsyah) and Mad Dog (Yayan Ruhian), gets on the intercom to tell his tenants they’ll have free rent for life if they take care of the invaders. Guys with guns spring out of the apartments lining each long hall, and the film becomes a maelstrom of automatic weapons, machetes and elbows to the face. Uwais, whom Evans discovered while shooting a documentary about the indigenous Indonesian martial art  pencak silat , is handsome and stolid and unlikely to win any major acting awards in the near future. But he does have a certain screen charisma and, once he gets moving, he’s an impossible and impressive blur of motion. Many of the fight sequences showcase the brisk efficiency of Uwais’s deadliness, as he works his way along a whole hallway full of men trying to kill him, leaving them battered or lifeless with some well-placed blows to the kneecaps or head. After the initial culling of the cops via sniper rifles and machine guns, The Raid: Redemption  sets aside firearms in favor of fists and blades and lets fight scenes play out rather than chopping them to bits in the annoying recent style of shooting action. It certainly doesn’t hurt that Evans has actual trained martial artists at his disposal and doesn’t have to cut around actors who are replaced at key moments by stunt doubles. And they’re not all of the same school — Taslim, for instance, is a Judo medalist. While Uwais, whose character is devout and incorruptible and has a pregnant wife at home and another family member in the wind, is unquestionably the star, Ruhian, as his most deadly antagonist, steals the show. His character’s introduced as a bloodthirsty enforcer, but is noticeably smaller than everyone else on screen. It’s not until he orders Jaka into a secluded room in order to kill him in hand-to-hand combat (he puts the gun away, saying “these take away the rush”) that we get to see him in action, and he doesn’t seem constrained by normal forces of gravity. The movie takes a discernible pleasure in his two big fight scenes, letting them play out at almost decadent but fully deserved lengths. There’s a sliver of a plot to The Raid , but it’s really not worth going over — when the characters pause to talk, which is rare, it does tend to kill the film’s momentum. That’s not to say it’s all hallway battles and fire fights; one of the cleverest bits has two characters hiding in a tight crawlspace while a baddie idly jabs his machete through the thin wall, and another involves the men breaking through the battered floor of an apartment to get away from gunmen at the door. Set to a score from Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda, The Raid ‘s wall-to-wall action eventually gets a little repetitive — watching guys get their heads slammed into walls does start to lose its impact, no pun intended — but the film’s use of its space is never dull. It gets an entertaining element out of the juxtaposition of shabby domesticity with outrageous action, with one escape depending on an explosive inside a refrigerator. Staircases, elevators, atriums — the film may be set in one location, but it appears to make use of every nook and cranny of that setting. And while there’s a video-game quality to the way it proceeds in stages, leveling up, retreating and acquiring new objectives, at its heart The Raid  is strictly old school, a film that gets a lot of glee out of the physical capabilities of its cast and their capacity to wreak havoc. Katrina Bowden: Sexy In Maxim

I love Katrina Bowden on 30 Rock , sure she doesn’t get a whole lot of air time, but when she does she steals the show with her incredible hotness and I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one. Here she is on the cover of Maxim getting sexy and showing off her amazing little booty in some sweet little undies. Is there a way I could ask her to seal those things up in a Ziploc bag and send them to me without seeming like a weirdo? Who’s got her Twitter info?
