With Justin Bieber having recorded a video message for that swimming sensation, the cast of The CW’s Vampire Diaries has now gone ahead and done the same for Gabby Douglas. While the gymnast finished last in yesterday’s uneven bars, she remains one of this year’s U.S. darlings, capturing team Gold and individual Gold in the all-around competition. She gets back to it this evening and Ian Somerhalder and company are here to wish her and teammate Aly Raisman the very best of luck. Watch now:

Michael Phelps, Megan Rossee Make Red Carpet Debut!

Michael Phelps stepped out with Megan Rossee on his arm last night in London. The newly-retired Olympic swimming legend, whose work in these games (and all future games) is done, made his red carpet debut with his very pretty, newly-revealed girlfriend at an event for Speedo, one of Phelps’ primary sponsors. Here’s Michael with Megan Rossee at the event … They didn’t do much press, but Michael Phelps’ girlfriend did say she’s doing well so far handling the torrent of publicity after being identified. The 27-year-old has been linked to seemingly endless women in recent years, but has probably dated none of them seriously. Training and all. Now that he’s won a record 22 Olympic medals and called it a career, perhaps that will change. Last night’s public debut certainly suggests it. “Megan and Michael have been taking things slow leading up to the Olympics, but they are excited to spend more time together,” says a source. “Megan is a beautiful person, inside and out.” They’ve supposedly been together five months, so it sounds like Phelps and Rossee are going strong! Here’s hoping they enjoy their planned post-Olympic vacation.

Sinead O’Connor and Barry Herridge: Back Together!

Who says true love can’t find a way: Sinead O’Connor and Barry Herridge, who recently separated after 18 days of marriage, are now giving it another shot! The singer took to Twitter to announce that she and Herridge, who wed last month, then split up, were very much on again once more just one week later. “Guess who had a mad lovemaking affair with her own husband last night?” she Tweeted, adding that “mother—–s who dont like it …so me all happy!!” Eloquent, Sinead O’Connor. Eloquent. O’Connor married Herridge , a drug counselor, on December 8 in Vegas (not a good sign), but split amid “intense pressure” from people in Herridge’s life. “The whole reason I ended it was out of respect and love for the man,” Sinead told The Sun (UK) way back in the day. “It felt like I was living in a coffin.” “It was going to be a coffin for both of us and I saw him crushed.” The “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer acknowledged she and Herridge had rushed into the marriage the first time around, but will now be taking things slow. “Yay!!! we decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend an stay married but we did rush so we gonna return to b friend g friend an be sickenly happy,” she wrote. Unswayed by the recent breakup of Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Matinez, Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum from The Bachelorette are still going strong and supposedly planning their dream wedding … albeit a long way in advance. This cover makes it seem imminent, though: As recently as November 4, Ashley Hebert said she had no wedding date set, and that as happy as she was with J.P., they were taking things (relatively) slowly. The couple isn’t waiting too long, and will “start talking about [weddings] in the New Year,” assured J.P., who bested current Bachelor Ben Flajnik last season. For now, though, they’re just enjoying what downtime they have and getting used to living together in New York – which is great, but don’t believe the hype. The former was seen on a hot dat e with Garrett Hedlund, reports say. “It was their first time going out,” a source tells Us Weekly of Swift’s April 1 evening out in Nashville with the Tron: Legacy and Country Strong star. “They’ve been emailing for a while, and she hinted they should get together.” Sources say that despite an obviously strong connection, Taylor is taking things slowly after a fast-track romance and breakup with Jake Gyllenhaal last fall. Speaking of Jake, he’s been spotted out with 90210 star Jessica Lowndes. Yeah, the chick stuck playing Adrianna on the CW’s mediocre remake of the hit. As long as they’re both happy.
