Ennis/Fort Worth Star-Telegram/MCT via Getty Images TCU Student Found Dead After Being Accused Of Hazing A Texas Christian University student who had been accused of hazing has reportedly committed suicide. Officials found 19-year-old Andrew Walker of Westford, Massachusetts dead on the ground after he appeared to have jumped from the fourth floor of an apartment complex on the TCU campus. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner reported that the student appeared to have committed suicide and died from “blunt force trauma from a fall,” Fox News  reported . Before this incident, police arrested Walker, along with another student named Christopher Thorne Barksdale, last month on charges of hazing students in the Kappa Sigma fraternity. A pledge was taken to a local hospital after being forced to drink large quantities of alcohol in the process. TCU officials suspended the fraternity following the incident. In addition to the hazing charge, Walker also faced a court appearance later this month for a DWI arrest, according to reports from the  Dallas Morning News . University officials commented on the incident in a written statement, saying the following: “Texas Christian University is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of one of our students, Andrew Walker. We are a small campus community and a death among our Horned Frog family wounds us all. We send our heartfelt thoughts, prayers and condolences to the family in this difficult time. Counselors and university ministers stand ready to assist students, faculty and staff who need support in the days and weeks ahead.”

Hide Ya Kids: Pervy Teacher Pleads Guilty To Gettin’ Sloppy Toppy From Pubescent Pupils!

In teachers fawking the student news… Teacher Pleads Guilty To Having Sex With Students Why would someone risk their career and reputation for some high school box? According to Star Telegram: A former high school teacher pleaded guilty Monday to four counts of having an improper relationship with students. Brandon Ashley McDaniel, 38, had been accused of having sexual relationships with five students at Sam Houston High School in Arlington. McDaniel could receive a maximum of 20 years in prison on each count. He asked a Tarrant County jury to recommend his punishment, so testimony in the sentencing phase began Monday. A 20-year-old woman who now attends Texas A&M University testified that she was 17 when McDaniel sent her text messages that grew more sex-related over time. He asked if she was a virgin, and one message asked if she touched herself, she told the jury. McDaniel also asked her if he was a bad person for wanting to kiss her. “One day in October, he kissed me,” she said. “A full-blown, on the mouth kiss.” Two days after that, they started going out after school in his maroon Dodge Durango, she said. She would take his keys and duck down low in the passenger seat and wait for him. They would have oral sex in the Durango, she testified. McDaniel told her that he had never cheated on his wife before. The next woman to testify Monday — now a 20-year-old University of Texas at Arlington student — told the jury that McDaniel said the same thing to her about never cheating on his wife. The woman called McDaniel “a laid-back teacher” who did not dress professionally. She took his English class, which she characterized as easy. Disgusting. They exchanged cellphone numbers after McDaniel asked her to do the lighting for a dance program, the woman said. Later, she got a text message from him while she was at work that said: “Tell me your darkest fantasy.” One day while they were in the computer lab, McDaniel started kissing her. They played truth-or-dare in text messages, the woman testified. And they had oral sex in a classroom. “He said he never cheated on his wife,” the woman said. Arlington school administrators placed McDaniel on administrative leave on Feb. 8, 2012, and he resigned in March. Both women who testified Monday said they initially did not want to take the stand. Both said their parents were not aware that they were testifying. One woman testified that she told police about having sex with McDaniel, but then recanted everything and signed a statement for McDaniel’s defense attorneys, Lex Johnston and Cynthia Fitch, saying that she did not wish to prosecute. “I thought all the parties involved had equal responsibility and it was unfair for just him to be at fault,” the woman said. Alana Minton, a Tarrant County prosecutor working on the case with Christy Jack, asked the woman if she wanted to be on the witness stand Monday. “I had put this all behind me,” she said. “This is just bringing it all back up.” Testimony resumes today in state District Judge Robb Catalano’s court. So Sad: Families Of Jovan Belcher And Kassandra Perkins Are Battling Over Custody Of Baby Zoey

Apparently money may be a big factor . Via NewsOne : More than a month after Kansas City Chiefs player Jovan Belcher shot and killed girlfriend Kassandra Perkins, before killing himself at Arrowhead Stadium, the families of the couple’s daughter are engaged in a fierce custody battle… Currently, four-month-old Zoey Belcher is living with her maternal relatives in Texas, according to a lawyer for Cheryl Shepherd, Belcher’s mother. Two weeks prior to the murder-suicide, Shepherd had moved in with her son’s family. She also received custody of Zoey shortly after the shooting, and filed a legal petition to be named her granddaughter’s guardian and conservator of her estate in Jackson County Probate Court Dec. 14. However, Zoey is no longer in her paternal grandmother’s care, according to Gretchen M. Gold, Shepherd’s lawyer. “Cheryl agreed to temporarily allow the maternal relatives (to) take Zoey to Texas for her mother’s funeral,” Gold wrote in an e-mail to a probate commissioner. But Zoey has yet to be returned to her paternal family side. “The maternal relatives have now ceased communicating with Cheryl Shepherd and have refused to return her calls or return the child to her care.” That is because Zoey’s maternal grandparents have filed a lawsuit seeking temporary custody, the girl’s relocation to Tarrant County, Texas and a guardian ad litem for her best interests. The hearing for that case will take place Jan. 22. Gold says that if the hearing does occur, Shepherd will be present and ready to fight. “We intend to fight the matter in Texas on Jan. 22 if that hearing takes place,” she wrote. According to the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement, Zoey’s legal guardian or estate is set to receive over $1,000,000. This includes $108,000 per year over the next four years. The fifth year would garner $48,000; $52,000 would continue coming in each year until she becomes 18. Should Zoey attend college, she would continue receiving that amount until she turns 23. Zoey could also stand to receive additional financial support from a trust by the Kansas City Chiefs and public contributions. Hopefully both families can work things out. Images via Instagram

Rihanna Performs "Diamonds" on The Voice Finale

Cassadee Pope was named the winner on The Voice results show last night after an hour and 58 minutes of filler … but at least that filler was strong by reality show standards. Case in point? Rihanna performing “Diamonds” live: Rihanna – Diamonds (Live on The Voice) A little awkward that she wasn’t singing the backing vocals – performed by herself on the studio track – but she sounds good live (and looks great as always). The Killers, Bruno Mars and Kelly Clarkson also took the stage on the NBC show’s final episode of 2012, with Cassadee Pope joining the latter in her performance. Do you think C-Pope deserved to win?   YES! Team Cassadee FTW! NO! Should’ve been Terry! Or Nick! View Poll »

Texas Teachers With Guns? Rick Perry Expresses Support in CT Shooting Aftermath

Texas teachers could be armed with guns themselves following Friday’s stunning Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. The state’s governor, Rick Perry, has expressed support – at least for allowing districts to determine whether their teachers can carry concealed weapons. It has also been reported that one Texas district already permits teachers to pack concealed handguns in class; Perry says he is open to expanding the idea. Perry told the NE Tarrant County Tea Party on Monday evening: “In the state of Texas, if you go through the process, have been trained, and you are a handgun-licensed individual, you should be able to carry a gun anywhere in the state.” In addition, Virginia Gov. McDonnell said Tuesday, “I know there’s been a knee-jerk reaction against that [but] I think there should at least be a discussion of that.” “If people were armed, not just a police officer but other school officials … certainly there would be an opportunity to stop aggressors coming into the schools.” “So I think that’s a reasonable discussion that ought to be had,” he added. Virginia and Colorado have already seen gun sales spike this week. In the Harrold Independent School District in Texas, a policy was already implemented in 2007 that allows teachers to carry concealed handguns in schools. Harrold superintendent, David Thweatt, has said “We’re a rural community. We’re in a county about a little smaller than the state of Rhode of island.” “We’re 30 minutes from law enforcement. Thirty minutes is an extremely long time.” In Connecticut last week, 20-year-old Adam Lanza shot his mother dead, then drove to the nearby Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown. He broke his way in before murdering 20 children as well as six adults in the school. After the slaughter, Lanza turned the gun on himself and shot himself dead. It was one of the worst high school massacre shootings in United States history and has sparked a wide debate on gun control and regulations in America. What do you think: Should teachers be allowed to carry guns?   Yes, it could actually prevent violence! No, that would be utter insanity … View Poll »

Jordan Ward and Kianna Randall: (16 and) Pregnant Again!

Maybe Jordan Ward and Kianna Randall of 16 & Pregnant fame are angling their own MTV spinoff called 18 & Pregnant … because they both are, according to reports. “Jordan’s baby girl is due in November,” a friend confirms . She’s already the mother of 18-month-old Noah. As we reported earlier this year, Jordan Ward’s pregnancy was announced via Facebook as an eff-you to the haters. The also-pregnant Kianna, meanwhile, already has an 11-month-old son, Kay’den (yep, that apostrophe is correct). It’s unclear when she’s due with her second one. Jordan Ward is married at least. Kianna Randall? We’re not sure . Being knocked up while facing felony charges for allegedly attempting to break into a home in Tarrant County, Tex., poses some new complications for her, though. Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised by any of this. “One out of four teen moms will have a repeat birth within two years,” said 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom “therapist” Dr. Drew Pinsky on the show’s recent reunion. There you go. We would’ve bet on Jenelle Evans , though. Even if she knows what control is, it’s unlikely she’d remember to use it in a blacked-out drunken haze.
