Email Submit Van Dyke wiped tears from his eyes as he gave testimony that contradicted video evidence in the case, the Washington Post reported. The ex-officer claimed that 17-year-old McDonald kept “advancing” at him waiving a knife, so he had to keep firing until the teenager fell to the ground. However, police dashboard camera video of the shooting shows McDonald walking away when Van Dyke fired 16 bullets at the teenager, continuing to fire even after the teen hit the ground. Police officials faced allegations of covering up the shooting, with its account contradicting what dashboard camera video showed. Two officers followed McDonald in their patrol car before calling for a backup officer who was equipped with a Taser. Van Dyke, one of the backup officers who arrived, allegedly got out of his vehicle with his gun drawn and started shooting as McDonald moved slightly away from him. The defense is expected to wrap up its case on Wednesday. Dan Kay, Former Survivor Contestant, Dies at 40

Very sad news today out of the reality television world: Dan Kay, a contestant on Survivor: Gabon back in the fall of 2008, died suddently on December 31.  He was 40 years old. The sad news has gone public as a result of a newly-printed obituary from the Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory. Kay worked as a lawyer; hailed from Brookline, New Hampshire; and was born in 1976. He earned a bachelor’s degree from UMass-Amherst and also law degree from Syracuse University. The cause of death is unknown at this time, as the obituary says only that he “died unexpectedly” on the final day of 2016. It notes that Kay’s “desire to be challenged and his quest for adventure lead to his participation on the reality show, Survivor.” Kay was the eighth person voted out of Survivor: Gabon. During his run on the beloved CBS reality show, he described himself as an “athletic kid growing up,” and his obituary lists his hobbies as “running, skiing, listening to music, and attending Crossway Christian Church.” In response to this tragic turn of events, Survivor host Jeff Probst Tweeted the following statement: “I just heard the very sad news about the sudden loss of Dan Kay of Survivor: Gabon. The Survivor family sends our love to Dan’s family.” After he was voted out, Kay told Andy Dehnart  of Reality Blurred that it would be “a little bit shallow if I said [Survivor] changed my life,” but added: “I think it made me appreciate the simplicity of life and what you need.”” Kay is the fourth Survivor cast member to pass away, following the deaths of Jenn Lyon, B.B. Anderson, and Caleb Bankston. He is survived by his two young children, Reese Elizabeth and Jackson “Jax” Russell-Reid, as well as his girlfriend, Jennifer DePietro, mother, Jean-Ann, and sister, Andrea . “More than anything, Dan cherished the time he spent with his two young children, Reese Elizabeth Kay and Jackson “Jax” Russell-Reid Kay,” the obituary reads. “Those who knew Dan best, would agree he was a child at heart.” A memorial will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory in Manchester, New Hampshire. Kylie Jenner closed out 2016 with a revealing bathroom selfie . It was nothing fans of the reality star haven’t seen before, really. But Forbes has now released a revealing list that ought to make jaws drop to the floor faster and harder than any close-up of Kylie’s cleavage ever could. According to that publication’s annual 30 Under 30 list, Kylie is the second-richest member of her family, behind only half-sister Kim Kardashian . The youngest person on this list, Jenner reportedly earned about $18 million last year. She’s only 19 years old. That’s approximately $1 million for every year she’s been alive! “The reality TV star’s Kylie Cosmetics line has gone from strength to strength, with each incarnation of her $29 lip kits selling out upon release,” Forbes writes of Jenner, adding: “Sources close to the teenager suggest the glosses did seven figures in revenues in 2016 alone. Jenner also puts her name to an apparel line, alongside model sister Kendall.” She has her foot in multiple industries, that’s for sure. And it apparently makes no difference to Kylie’s bottom line if the  Better Business Bureau gives her company an atrocious rating . Back in July, we learned that the company had racked up nearly 140 customer complaints on that website in the nine months since it opened for business. Then, just this week, we learned that Kylie’s official 2017 calendar got her own birthday wrong. For real. It lists Jenner’s birthday as August 10, when it is actually on August 20. But whatever, apparently. Jenner has over 82.6 million Instagram followers and they are clearly loyal to the teenager, even if she does promote subpar products. “Forbes 30 under 30 .. Combined, those individuals can’t come close to matching Jenner’s social media power… although Jenner herself can’t come close to matching her sibling’s earning potential. Forbes states that Kardashian brought in $51 million last year – and that’s with Kim basically taking the final three months of the year “off” after being robbed at gunpoint in Paris. Might this explain why Kim has returned to social media , however? Might she want to ensure that she remains on top for 2017 and beyond? Victor-Paulino’s classmate, Mathew Borges, has been arrested for the gruesome crime after a woman walking her dog discovered the body on Thurs. Knife-Wielding Clown Chases Ohip Teenager From Bus Stop Earlier this week we reported on an incident in South Carolina where a clown was reportedly stalking children from the woods near an apartment building playground. Welp, according to NBCNews , South Carolina isn’t the only place with a killer clown problem… There has been another creepy clown encounter — this time in Columbus, Ohio. A 14-year-old boy heading to a school bus stop Tuesday morning told police he was chased by a black-clad man armed with a knife — and wearing a clown mask, police said. “The victim was able to get away from him by throwing a rock at him,” said police spokeswoman Denise Alex-Bouzounis, who added that police are now canvassing the area in search of the suspect and keeping a close eye on the bus stop in north Columbus near where the incident occurred. “We don’t know whether this was a prank or not, but we are taking it seriously,” she said. The alleged attack on the teenager came as police down in South Carolina were investigating multiple reports of menacing clowns allegedly trying to lure children to an abandoned house in the woods. Funny, since we heard Tyga doesn't take too long to do much, if you know what we're talking about, people. Okay, moving on.
