In Top-Heavy White Folks News: John McCain’s Daughter Meghan Says Lesbian Women Are Actively Trying To Open Her Box!

Really?? Tell us more… Meghan McCain Says Women Flirt With Her All The Time Via NYDailyNews She may be the daughter of one of America’s more famous conservatives, but Meghan McCain’s views on gay rights are as Blue State as they come. “I always say, you’re no one until there’s a gay rumor about you!” she told Confidenti@l at the Chelsea Piers Trevor Project to support gay teens. “None of it bothers me. I get hit on by women from time to time. What is to be offended by that? If women find you attractive, that’s awesome,” said the 28-year-old blogger. But sorry, ladies. McCain stands by the April 2012 Playboy interview in which she clearly stated, “I can’t help it. I love sex and I love men.” Reminded of that chat, the buxom blond cracked: “One of my finer interviews.” When asked how her anti-gay father and his team feel about Meghans outspoken ways Meghan says: “I have two tattoos and I’ve talked about sex in Playboy,” she said. “You can’t run for President if you did that. No, I would never. I don’t think I could.” McCain admits her straight talk might not always be politically helpful for her anti-gay-marriage dad. “My dad’s staff doesn’t always love the things I say, and I think I frustrate them,” according to McCain. “I am who I am. I say crazy things. I’m sure something I’m saying to you will be on the Internet very soon — it’s fine.” Ladies, would you try to crack Meghan’s poon password if you had the chance?? Daniel Radcliffe Not ‘Comfortable’ Being A Role Model

‘I don’t think you should deify any human being,’ ‘Harry Potter’ star told MTV News last year. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Daniel Radcliffe Photo: Stephen Lovekin/Getty Images The transition from child star to adult star often comes with some hiccups. In a recent interview with GQ, “Harry Potter” actor Daniel Radcliffe admits that there was a time when he found himself drinking a little too much. “I became so reliant on [alcohol] to enjoy stuff,” he said of the time during shooting on 2009’s “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.” Since then, the 21-year-old has slowed down, telling the magazine that he prefers to have a “quiet life.” But Radcliffe has certainly been open about why he doesn’t see himself as a role model. Last year, he told MTV News, “I don’t look at myself as a role model. I would never place myself on that pedestal, obviously. If other people want to place me there, that’s up to them,” he explained. “I would advise them not to because I don’t think you should deify any human being. I think it’s something that I’ve grown more comfortable with the idea.” And despite his impressive career and all of the charitable work he has done with organizations like the Trevor Project, Radcliffe suggested someone else his fans should look to for guidance instead. “The thing I always say and I’ve often said in interviews, I think if people want a role model, Harry Potter’s a very, very good role model. And he’s something that won’t change,” Radcliffe added. “He’ll be fixed in that permanent lovely way, and so those are the role models you want. “I’m gonna grow old and get fat and stuff,” he added with a good-natured laugh. “And so you don’t want to make me a role model.” While Radcliffe tells GQ the paparazzi never caught him inebriated, when MTV News sat down with him, he did recall a certain pap shot of him smoking a cigarette that did get taken. But the star was willing to shrug it all off. “It’s a terrible thing to admit to, but yes I’m gonna go to help [for smoking]. That stuff, you know, is part and parcel of the job and it comes with the territory and you have to let it wash over you,” he said of the photographers. Adam Lambert To Return to ‘American Idol’

Singer will unveil an acoustic version of ‘Aftermath’ to benefit The Trevor Project. By Shawn Adler Adam Lambert Photo: MTV News All season long on “American Idol,’ top ten finalist James Durbin has had to endure comparisons to season eight runner-up Adam Lambert . This week, he’ll get to make those comparisons himself. Lambert will return to the Idol stage Thursday evening (March 10) to perform an acoustic version of “Aftermath,” according to the singer’s personal Twitter page . Immediately following the show, the song will be made available exclusively on Lambert’s website, with all proceeds from the sale going to The Trevor Project, an organization which offers support for and aims to prevent suicide by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered teens. “In order to fully benefit the Trevor Project, the remix will only be available on my site. [But it will also] be on iTunes eventually,” the 29-year-old singer tweeted . The release will mark the first time that “Aftermath” is available as a single in the United States, and the fourth single overall from Lambert’s 2009 album “For Your Entertainment,” following the record’s title track, “Whataya Want from Me” and “If I Had You.” “[Aftermath] was written about finding the courage to be honest with yourself and the people who love you,” Lambert said in a statement. “It’s about facing adversity and taking risks in the name of personal liberation. The song takes on different meanings to different listeners.” While “Idol” looks back with Lambert, the openly gay singer continues looking forward, hard at work on his next album, he told MTV News . “I’m in talks, so it’s all kind of being conceptualized right now, and what we’re hoping for is maybe by the fall,” Lambert said of his sophomore effort. “So, I’m going to take my time and really write the most personal songs, the most powerful songs. I really want it to be something that’s really honest and real.” Related Artists Adam Lambert

Daniel Radcliffe’s PSA For LBGT Help Line Debuts

‘If you’re feeling helpless or hopeless, there’s always a safe place to turn,’ he says in the Trevor Project PSA. By Eric Ditzian Daniel Radcliffe Photo: MTV News Earlier this year, MTV News was on hand as “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe recorded a public-service announcement for the Trevor Project , a nonprofit organization focused on crisis support and suicide prevention for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youths. “It’s something I’ve always been quite passionate about,” the British actor explained to us after the shoot. “Because I grew up around gay men, it was always a natural thing to me. It was never something I ever gave a second thought to. … And now I am in a position where I can help an amazing thing like the Trevor Project.” Radcliffe’s charitable effort has now debuted online. “If you’re feeling helpless or hopeless, there’s always a safe place to turn,” he says in the PSA. Anyone can call the organization’s number — (866) 4-U-TREVOR — for free and confidential support. “You can talk to someone 24 hours a day,” the actor says. “There are about 160 people in total who work around the clock, and that number is obviously growing over time. It is an incredible thing,” Radcliffe told MTV News. “I was talking to one of the [volunteers], who said, ‘I hate the fact that this needs to exist.’ But it’s so important that it does.” Founded by the filmmakers of an Oscar-winning short film called “Trevor,” the Trevor Project is the leading national organization dedicated to supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youths. The group’s prevention hotline and trained counselors have helped save lives and sought to foster safe, inclusive environments for at-risk youth at homes and schools. Their message — and Radcliffe’s — is a simple and powerful one. As the actor says in the PSA: “Be proud of who you are.” What do you think about Radcliffe’s PSA? Share your thoughts in the comments. Daniel Radcliffe Is ‘Hypnotized’ By Olympic Curling

‘It’s that thing where they go really slow — and then they go mental for a few seconds!’ the ‘Harry Potter’ star explains. By Larry Carroll, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Daniel Radcliffe Photo: MTV News When the Olympics are going on, as they have been for the past few weeks, we are a country torn asunder. Some people watch them, some watch anything but them, and a small-but-increasingly vocal minority would undoubtedly love to have Quidditch included in competition. Recently, we caught up with “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe who, while discussing his work with the Trevor Project (a nonprofit suicide- and crisis-prevention hotline for gay and questioning youth), was eager to express some thoughts that should delight all three factions. “As a Brit, the winter Olympics aren’t something you get all heads-up about,” the London-born star explained. “But I have been watching a bit of the hockey.” Excuse us? The boy wizard is a fan of the blue-collar sport overflowing with bruises, blood and beer-soaked fans? But wait, it gets weirder. “I’ve been amazed at how much I’ve been [enjoying] curling,” Radcliffe said of another sport he likes watching, one that is as intrinsically Canadian as it is endearingly silly-looking. “[I like it] just because it demands so little of you to watch it.” Always diplomatic, the 20-year-old star stopped short of dissing curling. “It’s a highly skilled thing, I’m sure,” Radcliffe said of curling. “But to actually watch it is very easy. It’s like you’re being hypnotized or something! “It’s sweeping!” he laughed. “It’s that thing where they go really slow — and then they go mental for a few seconds! I love it. So I’ve been getting into the curling; Sweden got caned last night by Canada.” Radcliffe loves the Olympic sport so much, in fact, that he said once Harry’s Quidditch days are over, he may trade in his Nimbus 2000 for a different sort of broom. “I could be [a curling athlete]; yeah, there we go,” Radcliffe laughed. “When ‘Potter’ finishes, I can do that.” Related Videos MTV Rough Cut: Daniel Radcliffe
