Marcus Ingram/Getty Images Big Boi Is Helping Hospice Patients See Black Panther Big Boi says that he hopes to “bring a little light” to a group of Atlanta hospice patients by taking them to see Black Panther on Friday. The Atlanta legend has rented a theater at Stonecrest 16 in Lithonia and will transport about 30 patients at Loving Arms Hospice to watch the film. He said about his good deed, “I’ve had my father and both my grandmothers go through hospice and I’d want to take them to places they couldn’t go. This might be the last movie they get to see. It’s like a little field trip.” Of course, medical staff will accompany the group, who are set to travel to the theater in one of Big Boi’s Celebrity Trailers, his company that supplies luxury trailers to movie sets–he wants the Loving Arms patients to experience the ride in one of the “super plush” vehicles. Like most of us, Big Boi has already seen Black Panther, but he’s looking forward to watching it again. He expressed his love of the movie saying, “The movie is incredible. Just the different layers – the storytelling, the writing, and of course the action. I love seeing the High Museum in there. Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin are no longer writing a book together, but that doesn’t mean that Kailyn’s done writing. No, Kail is coming out with her own book. And we can only imagine the things that she’ll have to say, considering that Javi will no longer be her coauthor. And apparently it’s all because Javi Marroquin is banging Briana DeJesus . Can you believe that there was a time when fans worried that Briana being on the show would be boring? Until pretty recently, Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin were working together on a book, which would have been titled He Said, She Said . The erstwhile coauthors had a falling out because, well, Javi could have dated any woman on the planet who isn’t one of his baby mama’s costars, but instead landed in bed with Briana DeJesus. And, of course, Briana DeJesus and Kailyn Lowry have been feuding . What a mess. If we documented every sexual assault charge against movie producer Harvey Weinstein , we’d never have time to write about anything else at The Hollywood Gossip. But the accusation leveled against Weinstein this afternoon by a former production assistant named Mimi Haleyi seems worth mentioning because it’s just so appalling. And disgusting, to be honest. An ex-employee of the Weinstein Co., Haleyi sat alongside attorney Gloria Allred in New York City on Tuesday and told the press that she met Weinstein at the 2004 premiere of The Aviator. Two years later, at the Cannes Film Festival, Weinstein invited Haleyi to his hotel room to supposedly discuss business. After “a few minutes of normal conversation,” he attempted to convince Haleyi to give him a massage, she explained. But she declined and left the room. “By that time I was crying, as I felt completely humiliated and stupid for having been excited about meeting with him,” Haleyi said. Following this incident, Weinstein actually asked Haleyi to work on one of his television shows. After this jobs ended, he asked her to go to Paris with him. This seemed like a “romantic” request, Haleyi said today, so she turned it down. Angered that she would say no to him (twice, no less), Weinstein allegedly showed up to Haleyi’s apartment in New York and “physically forced himself in through the door, pleading with me to come to Paris,” she said. But she did not give in. After Weinstein returned from France, Haleyi said she wanted to “maintain a good relationship” with the producer, so she agreed to meet him at his Manhattan apartment. They watched TV for a few minutes, but soon “he was all over me, making sexual advances,” she said, adding: “I said, ‘I am on my period. There is no way this is going to happen. Please stop.’ He wouldn’t take no for an answer.” Weinstein is then accused of backing Haleyi into what looked like a child’s bedroom. “He held me on the bed, I tried to get him off me but … he was extremely persistent and physically overpowering,” she said. “He orally forced himself on me while i was on my period. He even pulled my tampon out. I was mortified. I was in disbelief and disgusted.” After the alleged assault, Haleyi said Weinstein rolled over on his back and asked: “Don’t you feel like we’re so much closer now?” No , she replied. Earlier this month, a New York Times article detailed eight separate settlements Weinstein had arrived at with women who accused him of sexual misconduct. Since this article went viral, countless others in Hollywood have shared their Harvey Weinstein stories. And many sound eerily similar to this one, with women saying Weinstein would invite them to his hotel room under the guise of business… only to force himself on them in various ways . A spokeswoman for Weinstein has previously said that “any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied” by him. Last week, Taylor dropped “Look What You Made Me Do,” the very first single from her new album … and she blew our minds. Not necessarily because of the quality of the song, which was honestly not so great, but because she had a completely different sound than the old Taylor Swift. Which makes sense, because in the song, she explains that the old Taylor Swift is dead. It was also fun to analyze the lyrics and, a few days later, the music video — she obviously has a big grudge with someone, and the girl left us so many hidden clues and messages. It was like celebrity gossip Christmas, really. Even though it's been over a week now since we first heard the song, people are still talking about it. A lot . Which makes it more than a little surprising that she went ahead and released another single today. The new song is called “…Ready for It,” and while it's still very, very different than what we'd expect from her, this one is a little more familiar than “Look What You Made Me Do.” And that's because this song is a love song. Judging by some of the lyrics, we're guessing this is about her current boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn . They've been dating since last year, and in a lyric from the first verse, Taylor sings that the object of her affection here is “younger than my exes but he acts like such a man though.” Joe is 26, a year younger than Taylor, and quite a bit younger than many of her previous lovers, men like Tom Hiddleston, Calvin Harris, and John Mayer. There's a chance she could still be pulling inspiration from her relationship with Harry Styles, who is four years her junior, but that would be sad at this point. So let's just say this is about Joe — and if it is, then she seems to be very, very serious about him . So serious that in another part of the song, she sings “Every lover known in comparison is a failure, I forget their names now.” And like, we know she didn't actually forget their names, but this Joe must be pretty darn special, huh? The world has lost yet another legendary musician today … Walter Becker, one of the co-founders of Steely Dan, passed away earlier this morning. He was only 67 years old. The announcement of his death was first made on his personal website, with no other information than the date of his birth and today’s date — the day he passed. As of now, we don’t know the cause of death, but we do know that he was having health problems earlier this summer that caused him to miss some Steely Dan concerts. Donald Fagen, the other co-founder of the band, said in July that ‘Walter’s recovering from a procedure and hopefully he’ll be fine very soon.” Tragically, as we know now, that was not to be the case. Walter and Donald founded Steely Dan together all the way back in 1972, with Walter playing guitar and bass and co-writing the songs with Donald. They were successful up until 1981 when they broke up, but they reunited in 1993, and they’ve been touring since then. Though we don’t have any details about Walter’s death at this time, we do have a touching tribute written by Donald for his longtime bandmate and friend. Read the tribute in full below: Walter Becker was my friend, my writing partner and my bandmate since we met as students at Bard College in 1967. We started writing nutty little tunes on an upright piano in a small siting room in the lobby of Ward Manor, a mouldering old mansion on the Hudson River that the college used as a dorm. We liked a lot of the same things: jazz (from the twenties through the mid-sixties), W.C. Fields, the Marx brothers, science fiction, Nabokov, Kurt Vonnegut, Thomas Berger, and Robert Altman films come to mind. Also soul music and Chicago blues. Walter had a very rough childhood — I’ll spare you the details. Luckily, he was smart as a whip, an excellent guitarist and a great songwriter. He was cynical about human nature, including his own, and hysterically funny. Like a lot of kids from fractured families, he had the knack of creative mimicry, reading people’s hidden psychology and transforming what he saw into bubbly, incisive art. He used to write letters (never meant to be sent) in my wife Libby’s singular voice that made the three of us collapse with laughter. His habits got the best of him by the end of the seventies, and we lost touch for a while. In the eighties, when I was putting together the NY Rock and Soul Review with Libby, we hooked up again, revived the Steely Dan concept and developed another terrific band. I intend to keep the music we created together alive as long as I can with the Steely Dan band. Our condolences to the people close to Walter — it sounds like he will be missed. It’s no secret that Britney Spears, whose art brings joy to us all and whose mere existence makes the world a better place, has had her ups and downs. She also has a super hot boyfriend . And now we’re hearing that she could be writing a tell-all book … one that spill exactly what she thinks of some other celebrities she’s known. Obviously, the news that Britney Spears is writing a tell-all book is really exciting if it’s true. But hearing that she might be throwing a surprising amount of shade at other celebrities sounds like a godsend. “She’s always kept journals, and Britney’s decided to write a tell-all book.” Who wouldn’t love to read those if Britney decides to share just the journals themselves, you know? “She’s tired of hearing all these half-truths about her and wants to set the record straight about who she really is.” We’re here for that, sure. And, according to this report, Britney Spears will be speaking about specific stars and sharing her exact thoughts about them. Apparently, among those named will be Christina Aguilera, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift. “By the end of the book, everyone will know exactly how Britney feels about them.” That sounds ominous, right? Not for Britney or for the readers, but … for someone . “This book is going to surprise a lot of people.” That’s the thing, though — this would be surprising. Not just because this news isn’t coming from Britney or her team themselves. (Though you’d think that they’d want to float that directly, right?) But also because Britney’s life is going so well. Drama follows her because she’s famous, but Britney’s never really been one to seek it out. Even in her wildest partying days — remember those? — Britney didn’t have anything like the kinds of feuding that we see with other celebrities. And now that everything’s so perfect in her life, it’s hard to imagine that she’s stirring the pot, you know? On the one hand, sure, she’s untouchable because she’s Britney Freaking Spears . So she can do what she wants without taking issue with whatever, like, Katy Perry tweets about her or whatever. But … why would she want to? What would she have to gain? Lately, Taylor Swift — who finds balance by being virtually synonymous with squads and with feuds — has been pretty quiet and reserved. We’re sure that she has new music coming and that she’ll have a lot to say with it. But at the moment, she’s backing off from fights and appearances because things got too heated and she knows how damaging overexposure can be. Just last week, Taylor broke two months of silence on Instagram to congratulate Selena Gomez on her new song. (That song is “Fetish” and it’s great, you guys) Britney might not be a hardcore Slytherin like Taylor Swift (that’s not an insult), but she’s been at this game a long time. (Even though Britney Spears is ageless so it’s difficult to forget) If Taylor, who’s still young and relatively new to the world of pop stardom, is wise enough to know when to hold her tongue … … It’s that much harder to picture Britney opening a big ol’ can of worms. TI And Kevin Hart Producing Showtime Comedy Series If you were wondering what Tip has planned after putting an end to his family’s hustle …Kevin Hart has the answer. The two tiny titans have teamed up to create a new original show for Showtime. “The Studio” will focus on the daily and nightly circumstances and antics that take place inside a Hip Hop music studio. Described as “a music-themed office comedy,” the comedy will poke fun at the conversations and characters that pop up on the late night as rappers and singers record their work. According to Deadline , both TI and Kevin are expected to make occasional guest appearances on the program. The pair has also recruited Ayesha Carr, best known for her work on “Everybody Hates Chris,” to take the reigns with the writing. Carr also has credits on comedy hits like “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “The Carmichael Show,” so clearly she knows what she’s doing. Sounds kind of like “Entourage,” don’t you think? Tragedy has struck an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England. According to multiple news outlets, at least 22 people were killed and countless others injured after a pair of loud bangs were heard Monday evening inside Manchester Arena. Law enforcement sources in Great Britain and the United States have told NBC News they believe these sounds to have been explosions. Shortly after reports started to leak out about what transpired or may have transpired at the concert, Greater Manchester Police confirmed there were a “number of fatalities and others injured.” It remains unclear just how many people died from the explosions themselves and how many were killed as a result of the stampede that occurred after the blasts went off. Those associated with the event tell TMZ they heard an explosion in the rotunda area (where merchandise is sold), which is located outside the seating area in the venue. Immediately afterward, mass chaos ensued as everyone sprinted toward the nearest exit. About two hours after outlets starting reporting on the horrible occurrence, police said they were treating it as a terrorist act. There are reports the explosive device was a “nail bomb,” TMZ writes, which would explain why many victims at the scene were bleeding profusely. “Ariana is okay,” a representative for the artist says. “We are further investigating what happened.” Manchester Arena sits atop the Manchester Victoria transit station. As of this writing, all lines to Manchester Victoria were closed, National Rail says in a statement. Northern Railway said the station had been evacuated and local police have issued the following statement: “Emergency services are currently responding to reports of an explosion at Manchester Arena. There are a number of confirmed fatalities and others injured. “Please avoid the area as first responders work tirelessly at the scene. “Details of casualty bureau will follow as soon as possible.” This is what a concert goer told The Daily Mail of what he witnessed after the first explosion went off: “Everybody started screaming and running for the exit … We could hear the police and ambulance sirens. It was terrifying. “There were thousands of people trying to get out at once. They were all screaming and crying. The whole place smelt smokey and burnt.” Added another person in attendance, this time to The Manchester Evening News: “We saw young girls with blood on them, everyone was screaming and people were running.” Victoria Monét and Bia opened for Grande on Monday night and both artists are believed to be fine. Grande’s tour was scheduled to continue at the O2 Arena in London on Thursday night, but it’s hard to believe this show will now take place. Not that it matters at the moment, of course. The Manchester Arena, which opened in 1995, can hold up to 21,000 spectators; it was not clear how many people were in the crowd for the concert. But it is clear that this is a tragedy of massive proportions. UPDATE : We’ve found a video that purports to show the explosion. Everybody was trying to push people up the stairs.” “There was a lot of children there without parents. There was no one to calm them down so everyone was just screaming crying and pushing.” How awful. Simply awful and absolutely unimaginable. At least 59 people are injured, 19 of them in critical condition. Police are treating this as the act of a suicide bomber, presuming the attacker is dead, but investigating whether or not he was part of a larger organization/network.
