Cleo TV’s ‘Just Eats With Chef JJ’ It’s getting creole lit in Chef JJ’s New York City loft this week. On the latest episode of his ‘Just Eats With Chef JJ’, former Basketball Wives star/Nurse Bae Angel Love Davis and Harlem Activist Alize Garcia stopped by the kitchen to help cook up some New Orleans cuisine. You can certainly see the chemistry between Angel and Chef JJ after he jokes with her that she would be the filling in his cake. She blushed and complimented him back. Precious Harris, the older sister of rapper and VH1 reality show star T.I., died on Friday of injuries she sustained in a car accident several days prior. She was 66 years old. According to TMZ and other outlets, Harris was involved in an awful wreck in Atlanta last week — and the news of her tragic passing was shared yesterday by her daughter. This is what she wrote as confirmation: “From my best friend on earth to My beautiful angel in heaven. “I love you so much. I’m so heartbroken but the way you looked so @ peace this past week has confirmed that you are resting… no more asthma attacks… damn but baby I am going to miss you.” Harris has reportedly been on life support ever since the crash. She never regained consciousness. T.I. and his wife, Tiny Harris, are devastated by Precious’s passing, numerous insider say. The family, whose lfe has been chronicled on the series T.I. of T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle, is extremely close. Harris leaves behind three children: Kayama Chapman, Avis Chapman-Reese and Kareem “Plug” Chapman. The latter went on to memorialize his mother in his own touching tribute, writing on Instagram: “I got to spend 38 amazing years with this Angel but today my Mom made her transition to be with the Lord. “Cherish your time yall as my mom @preciousharris1913 did! She danced, she loved and most importantly she LIVED. “Im gone miss the s— out of this woman! Pray for our family, myself @kamayadaplug@troubleman31 @the.leading.man.” T.I. himself has not yet spoken on this tragedy, but the rapper (born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr.) shared a photo that appeared to show Harris standing in front of a life-size image of the star just days before her death. It seems to have been his way of acknowledging her time was near. “I Love You Sis,” T.I. wrote, adding a red heart emoji. “We can’t thank you enough. #MyBiggestFan.” The Harris family chose to halt production last week for season 2 of “Friends & Family Hustle” after learning of the 66-year-old’s car crash. T.I. was reportedly waiting for his sister to pull through to continue filming. T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle, meanwhile, was a legacy show for VH1, airing for six seasons and becoming the first VH1 series to hit the 100-episode milestone. The program concluded after Tameka Harris filed for divorce . She and T.I. later reconciled, and the new stage in their relationship is at the heart of the current show. Winners Barack Obama (sort of) One young scholar put Barack Obama in the deep florescent spotlight when he brought up the topic of masculinity. During a My Brother’s Keeper town hall in Oakland, California, the former pres and NBA star Steph Curry talked to young men of color about their upbringing, philosophy and ways to succeed in America. Towards the end of the discussion, one person asked Barack how they can collectively change the narrative on what it means to be a man in the midst of unhealthy masculinity. Barack’s response was interesting to say the least. Along with talking about being responsible, being kind, being compassionate, etc., Barack also threw in a little criticism for hip hop. It’s well known Barack is an avid listener of rap music , but when it comes to flossing, he had some thoughts: “Let’s face it, a lot of hip-hop and rap music is based around me showing I have more money than you, I can disrespect you and you can’t do nothing about it, I’m gonna talk about you and punk you. Ironically that actually shows the vulnerability that you feel.” He continued: “If you were really confident about your financial situation, you’re probably not gonna be wearing an eight-pound chain around your neck. If you are very confident about your sexuality, you don’t have to have eight women around you twerkin’. You seem stressed that you’ve gotta be acting that way. I’ve got one woman that I’m very happy with.” Now granted, Barrack’s words are seeping with rigid ideas about sexuality and success. I mean if bills are paid… Why can’t I wear my gold chain! And all consenting twerk teams are welcome if we’re keeping it cute and safe, right? However, Barrack does have a point about the realities of juggling heavy chains and multiple sex interests. I mean, eight women are twerking in front of you? Are they getting paid? Do they have substantial health benefits? How long will the twerking go on, and are their adequate lunch breaks? All questions that need answers. And don’t get me started on that eight pound chain. Can someone say neck pains. Barrack is only watching out for the people. Kylie Jenner may only consume 500 calories per day , but she has a very good reason for it: The reality star is too busy eating up her daughter, Stormi Webster! Exactly one year after giving birth to her first child, the 21-year old is here to gush over the infant, while also sharing a new and adorable photo of her tyke. “how did i get so lucky to have such a sweet, smart, happy baby,” Jenner wrote as a caption to the above picture. Following the likes of The Wiz and Jesus Christ Superstar, RENT: Live will give fans from all over the world the chance to watch the Broadway classic be performed live, right in front of their television screens. The cast in the 2019 reboot includes: Jordan Fishe r as Mark Cohen, Brennin Hunt as Roger Davis, Tinashe as Mimi Marquez, Brandon Victor Dixon as Tom Collins, Drag Race’s Valentina as Angel Dumott Schunard, Vanessa Hudgens as Maureen Johnson, Kiersey Clemons as Joanne Jefferson and for the first time in his career, R&B singer Mario stars in his first musical as Benjamin Coffin III. We got the opportunity to sit down with Mario and talk to him about how it feels to pop his stage play cherry live in front of the entire world. Source: FayesVision/WENN.com / WENN For Mario, he wasn’t a really big Broadway fan, so like many non-Broadway enthusiasts, he wasn’t familiar with RENT at first. “It wasn’t until after my first audition that I actually saw [RENT],” Mario admits. “I’ve been hearing ‘Seasons of Love’ all my life, just in the background, knowing the song but having not really watched the movie.” However, when the opportunity presented itself for Mario to audition, he took a moment to see the film and found himself identifying with the character Benny. He says, “Now that I’ve seen the movie and now that I know that I’m playing Benny’s part, I found relation to him, coming from Baltimore, growing up in poverty-stricken areas, leaving when I was 15 years old, and going back a few years later thinking to myself, ‘What can I do to change the circumstances of some of these kids growing up in the city.’” Mario also discusses how he’s given back to his hometown of Baltimore. “I started the Do Right Foundation where I was working with the children of substance abused parents because I experienced that,” says Mario. “In that way, I can relate to Benny in the fact that he sees a brighter future for the East Village. His way of going about it is a little harsh. But, I started there and I’ve just been building on the character ever since then.” Source: FOX / Getty Mario admits that before RENT, he never really had aspirations of wanting to get into theater, however, after being asked to audition for the musical “Hair”, the thought eventually crossed his mind. Unfortunately, he never pursued it further but that’s what makes RENT even better. It’s something completely new. As far as whether or not Mario plans to go on Broadway, the singer says that he’d love to do more one-off shows like the live showing of RENT on FOX, but he’s not ready to take on Broadway full time. “I probably won’t do traveling theater,” he said. “I have a lot of musical aspirations. I’m going on tour after this. I’m putting another project out as well. I’m just going to continue to evolve and hopefully along that path I’ll have more experiences like RENT.” The tour Mario is referring to is the upcoming Millennium Tour alongside B2K, Pretty Ricky, Chingy and others. The nostalgic R&B tour sold out in several cities, with promoters having to add additional dates. When asked how he feels about being back on stage with some of his old friends, Mario says, “I’ve been so focused on RENT, I don’t know how it feels yet. I’ve literally been in this world. But when I think about it, for me, it’s more exciting for me to get to see the fans. I’m excited about the fans! I’m excited to see how excited they are. It’s a weird time for R&B right now and I think that although R&B is making a comeback right now, this is an exciting moment for R&B fans who remember the Scream Tour. I am a loyal Lindsay Lohan fan. I am very happy she’s having a comeback… Not only because of the nipple flashes you don’t notice cuz her nipples are invisible….GINGERS… But because she deserves it. She’s on of America’s last real stars. There will never be the same level of tabloid fodder and good times, instability and throwing away of a serious career as there was with her. No one cares about the stars of Today…like Margot Robbie or Brie Larsen on the level they cared about Lohan… No one cares about Bella Thorne or even Selena Gomez like they did about Lindsay Lohan. She is a living legend…and weird accent, doughy face, sloppy body….lookin’ 50 at 30 or not…. I will always consider her the pivotal personality…the true meaning of Celebrity….and I am grateful to have experienced her in her lifetime and I anticipate her winning an Academy Award…I’ve always said it and it will happen….not that Academy Awards matter…they do it for the press and exposure..they give those shits to everyone…..but it’d still be nice to see her get one and unless she dies prematurely (and she will)…I am sure it will happen….
