It’s all about the Benjamin’s baby. Diddy Tops Forbes’ Wealthiest Hip-Hop Artist List Diddy may have haters at Howard University, but he’s still making that gwap. According to BET: Sean “Diddy” Combs continues to be the wealthiest artist in hip hop. Diddy tops Forbes’ 2014 list of Hip-Hop’s Wealthiest Artists with a net worth of $700 million, bringing him one step closer to becoming the game’s first billionaire. He’s held the top spot since the list started circulating in 2011. This fiscal cycle, the Bad Boy Records mogul has seen his net worth increase by $120 million since the launch of his music channel, Revolt TV, last year. Second on the Forbes’ list is Dr. Dre, at $550 million. The reigning king of the headphones industry garnered most of his multi-millions from the success of Beats by Dre, and this year bested Jay Z for the No. 2 spot he held in 2013. Still, Jay follows closely behind Dre with $520 million. He is the only name in the top five that can count personal record sales in his take home. Hov’s deal with Samsung to exclusively release Magna Carta Holy Grail netted him a multi-million dollar paycheck last year, in addition to the money made from royalties, touring and his Roc Nation imprint. Brian “Birdman” Williams took the fourth spot at $160 million, which is just over half of the $300 million Cash Money empire he splits with brother Ronald “Slim” Williams. Lastly, holding his spot among the top five, is 50 Cent at $140 million. Fif’s placement is credited to the windfall he pocketed from a Vitaminwater deal in 2007. A Florida man working the desk at a Tampa Bay apartment complex for seniors nonchalantly disposed of the body of a resident who’d jumped 16 stories to her death. Mistaking the corpse for a mannequin from an April Fools’ prank. Obviously. Tampa Bay Times reporter Weston Phippen detailed the story yesterday: Ronald Benjamin, 61, looked onto the patio and saw a shape on the ground. It looked to him like a mannequin. An April Fools’ Day joke, he concluded, and went back to work. Two hours later, another employee of the senior housing complex at 440 Fourth Ave. N told Benjamin about the shape on the patio. It was just a prank, Benjamin assured her. When a woman and her teen son came by to deliver the Tampa Bay Times, Benjamin asked the boy to help him move the mannequin into a Dumpster. It gets worse … He grabbed the shoes and the teen clasped a handful of clothes, which was topped with a ball of whitish-gray hair. It weighed almost nothing, Benjamin noted, as they heaved it into the trash. Benjamin saw what looked like blood, but he thought it was fake. Hours later, other workers discovered that the shape in the Dumpster was not a mannequin, but a 96-year-old resident who had jumped 16 stories to her death sometime during the night. They called Benjamin, whose shift had ended by then, and told him to come back. He was stunned when he was told that it was a person . Benjamin, who was fired, says he is deeply troubled and contrite. When the Times asked him about the mistake, he assumed that because the bars had just closed for the night, some reveler was having fun with a mannequin: “I’m telling you, I swear to God, the face looked like a rubber mask. If I thought for one instant it was a person I would have called the police, my manager, everyone.” The woman, who was not identified, had left a suicide note and was described by an acquaintance at her nursing home as a “refined” individual.

Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together, and the writers of Law and Order: SVU sought to cash in on the buzz with last night’s explosive episode. In the Law & Order episode based on them , their names were changed to Mischa and Caleb, but many of the case’s events played out just like in real life. The cops even liken Mischa and Caleb to Rihanna and Chris Brown . Law & Order SVU Clip: Rihanna and Chris Brown? First, there’s a domestic violence incident as Mischa sees Caleb hugging some girl and says, “I can’t leave you alone for five minutes without you getting trashy.” An enraged Caleb’s response: “Who you steppin’ to, skinny ass ho!” Her head is slammed on the ground. She is punched in the face. After Mischa refuses to testify against Caleb, a la Rih in 2009, the detective says, “These two should go on a double with Chris Brown and Rihanna.” Amazing. This being Law & Order , last night’s ending was fictionalized, of course (unless Chris decides he’s going to KILL Rihanna later this year). As Caleb and Mischa enjoy a romantic moment on a private yacht, she asks about a text on his phone, again – and he tells her to mind her own business. The next scene we see is of a reporter at a memorial service for Mischa, whose body was found dead and lifeless in the ocean, next to the yacht. Eerie stuff.

Michael Winans Jr., a member of a famous family of gospel musicians, has been sentenced for his role in a Ponzi Scheme that defrauded investors of over $8 million. He will spend 13 years and nine months behind bars. Prior to sentencing the singer, a U.S. District Court Judge came down on him for robbing “good, decent, church-going people.” Winans has said there was “no malicious intent on [his] part” and that he just “wanted people to have a good life,” though the 1,200 individual fiscally injured in his hoax may disagree with that assessment. The artist is the son of Michael Winans Sr. and older brother Benjamin “Bebe” Winans and Priscilla “Cece” Winans. He has also been ordered to $4.8 million in restitution to his victims.
